Selena POV
Over the next few days, I became more and more depressed. Everyone distanced themselves from me after the campfire. Everyone I tried to talk to looked at me in shock and walked away. It made me feel very alone.
On the second day after my arrival, the counselors from Hades and Poseidon came to my seat at the Artemis table. The huntresses seemed disgusted and moved to the floor,
"Hey. My name is Percy Jackson. This is Nico Di Angelo. We know how it feels to be alone due to our parents." The man from Poseidon said.
"Yeah. Listen, l know it's hard, but don't do anything stupid." Nico said.
"Thanks. But what's so bad about my mother being Artemis?" I asked
"She took an oath to never marry or have children. Most would see you as a sign of a broken oath." The girl who saved me from the Nemean Lion said.
"Oh. How do you feel about this?" I ask.
"I said most, not all. And I was also seen as a sign of a broken oath. Our fathers swore to never bear children. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. They all broke their oath but Hades, and his was only on a technicality." She answered
"We got to go to our tables, so please make sure she isn't threatened at all, Thalia." Nico said.
The huntresses sat back at the table.
"Hey. You are now like a little sister to me, Selena. The other huntresses may take time to warm up to you though."
"Campers! As you know, we have capture the flag coming up, and it is camp versus huntresses. Percy, Nico, and Annabeth are in charge of the campers' team. Thalia, Jasper, and Alice are in charge of the Huntresses. Let the games... begin!" Chiron yelled.
As everyone gathered into two groups, I sat behind. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. A woman's. I turn and see Annabeth, the counselor from Athena, sitting behind me.
"Hey. Why are you sitting here? Oh." She said, before realization struck.
"Yep. Rescued by the huntresses, but not sworn in. A demigod, but one born of Artemis. It's a dilemma." I said.
Annabeth sat there for a minute, then smiled.
"You play alone, a lone warrior. Your goal is to give false intel to both teams, so you can steal their flags." She said. I agreed.
We walked to the creek, where everyone was waiting for the game to start.
"For now, friends, we have a third team. The intelligence. She is the daughter of Artemis, Selena." Chiron said. The campers and huntresses looked at me in confusion. A horn sounded, and everyone went off. I got a slightly smaller flag made of a old war cape. It was just a piece of normal cloth.
As I ran between camps, I told devastating lies.
"The huntresses are coming through the trees."
"The campers are guarding the creek."
"Nico is using undead archers."
"Thalia has the creek charged with electricity."
As the campers met away from the creek and trees to avoid the huntresses, and the huntresses charged the creek, I grabbed both their flags. They got back to their bases, and saw their flags were gone. The horn sounded, and I smiled. The games were over. All three flags now had a crescent moon crossed with the letters CHB.
"The intelligence wins!" Chiron yelled.
