The next morning, Hotch woke up and went to get ready. He put on his casual clothes, ones the team had really never seen him wear, and then went to get Jack ready to go to Jessica's.
He got Jack out the front door and went and dropped him off at Jessica's and then headed to the BAU to drop off his account of what happened since he wrote it this morning before waking Jack.
After handing it in, Hotch headed to the hospital. When he got there, Morgan and Reid were already there.
"Hey what's going on?" Hotch asked.
"Nothing. Nothing has changed whatsoever. I mean she hasn't gotten worse, but she hasn't gotten better either." Morgan said in anger.
"We have to give her some time to get better. She was in really bad shape, she needs time to heal and get better." Hotch told him, also worried but not showing it.
"Yeah fine." Morgan said, sitting down.
"So are they allowing people back?" Hotch asked.
"Um yeah, you can go ahead and go, Reid and I just got back from there." Morgan informed Hotch.
"Thanks." Hotch said, walking away to go to Emily's room.
Hotch sat down next to Emily and held her hand, like the night before.
Over the next three weeks, that is what Hotch did. Wake Jack up, get ready, drop him off at Jessica's, head to the BAU, then spend the rest of the day at the hospital with Emily. Even though she hasn't woken up yet, her bruises and cuts were getting better. They were no longer the only thing people could see on her face. She was also now out of the ICU, waiting for her to wake up.
