AN: Hello, my readers! Here I bring you another story from one of my favorite series, 'The Legend of Korra'. This time, the best Avatar of all (It is for me, so to each his own opinion) will travel to a world full of magic, literally.

'The Legend of Korra' is set at the end of 'Ruins of the Empire'.

'Fairy Tail' is set at the end of the Tartaros arc, but without the guild dissolution.

I don't own anything except the OCs.

Republic City.

A city where benders and non-benders of the four nations live in harmony and all thanks to Avatar Korra.

It had only been a couple of weeks since they settled the issue regarding Kuvira, Commander Guan, and the process of turning the Earth Kingdom into the Earth Republic and things have been quiet ever since.

Despite the peace in the city, that doesn't mean that the Avatar's work was done. Over the past few days Korra has been busy in many ways.

Helping Lin and Mako with police matters, collaborating with President Zhu Li for political matters, making sure human-spirit relations remained on good terms, and sometimes patrolling the city on Naga to make sure everything was in order.

In her spare moments, she would hang out with her girlfriend Asami, with her friends or meditating to relax at certain times. Unfortunately, sometimes when she meditated, someone would come to ask for her help.

When she told Asami about it, she suggested going to a place where she could rest quietly without being bothered by anyone, and the first thing that crossed the Avatar's mind was the spirit world.

So now she was in the spirit world, half a distance away from the new spirit portal to avoid people being able to find it easily. She had her duties as Avatar, but she often needed a little break like anyone else.

Taking a deep breath, she began to meditate, wanting to relax a little and also, maybe talk a little with Raava, since, even though they could now communicate with each other as Wan had in the past, they hadn't talked much.

Suddenly, before they could even greet each other, something strange happened, something that made Korra's eyes widen in surprise as the ground around them began to shake.

That was very strange to her. The spirit world was supposed to react to emotions and she was calm just now, so either someone was really pissed off or something weird was going on.

That's when a crack began to form in the ground heading straight for her. Korra was about to move away or use her powers of bending to escape, but the crack was too fast for her and ended up opening up underneath her, leaving a gaping hole that she began to fall through.

The last thing she saw was the exit from the rift hole she was falling through before the rift closed and after that, all she saw was darkness.

Korra groaned a little as she opened her eyes, able to see the light again. The first thing she noticed was that she was under a roof and that she felt something comfortable underneath her, implying that she was in the bed of some building. The question was, which one and where?

"Wow, you woke up." said an unfamiliar, female voice.

Korra turned her head to see beside her bed a girl younger than her, with blonde hair in a ponytail on her right side. Korra sat up quickly and recoiled a little from surprise.

"Who are you? Where am I?" asked Korra a little nervously, since the last thing that happened was that she fell off a cliff in the spirit world.

"Hey, hey. Relax." said the girl raising her arms in defense. "I found you near my house unconscious, so I brought you here to recover."

Hearing that, Korra felt ashamed that she had spoken that way to the person who helped her.

"I'm sorry." Korra said.

"It's okay. It's normal for you to feel a little nervous. Why don't we start over? I'm Lucy Heartfilia." said the girl introducing herself.

"Korra." said Korra introducing herself.

"Korra, huh? Nice to meet you. Well, get some more rest, I'll go tell the master." said Lucy before leaving the room.

Master? Did that mean she must be in one of the four nations? It was possible, but for some reason, there was something different about the surroundings. She didn't know what it was, but she could sense that it was very different from the places she had visited.

Where the hell had she ended up?

As Lucy left the infirmary, she was about to leave to go find the master when...

"Well?" asked a voice startling the celestial mage who turned to see Natsu and the others standing beside her. "How is she girl?"

"She's better, she just woke up. I was just about to go tell the master." said Lucy.

"Do you know anything about her?" asked Wendy.

"All I know is that her name is Korra. Nothing else." said Lucy.

"I guess that's valid for the moment." said Charle.

"Still, the fact that she showed up in front of your house all of a sudden is pretty weird." said Gray.

"Besides, in the short time I've seen her I haven't sensed any magical power in her." said Erza.

"You mean she's not a mage?" asked Happy.

"Almost, but no." said Loki suddenly appearing, startling the others.

"Ah! Loki! What are you doing here?" asked Lucy surprised to see one of her spirits.

"I sensed a presence that caught my attention and it seems I was right." said Loki looking towards the infirmary.

"You mean Korra? What does she have to do with it?" asked Lucy.

"There's something about her that attracts me." said Loki.

"You are attracted to any beautiful woman." said Natsu knowing of the spirit's womanizing personality.

"That's not what I meant!" exclaimed Loki before calming down. "I feel something inside her. Something... spiritual."

"What do you mean?" asked Lucy confused by the spirit's words.

"I'm not sure, but it feels powerful, pure and pleasant." said Loki.

"Where are you going with this?" asked Erza.

"It's just a theory, but I think she comes from another world." said Loki surprising the mages present.

"Another world?" asked Lucy.

Korra remained sitting on the bed, waiting for some news from Lucy or the master she mentioned.

"Korra." called a voice Korra hadn't heard in a long time, so she began to concentrate and meditate.

The next moment, she was as a blue ghost in a black space and in front of her, stood the spirit of light and order, Raava.

"Raava. What is it?" asked Korra surprised that it was Raava who called her and not the other way around.

"I'm afraid I have troubling news, Korra." began Raava worrying the Avatar a little. "We are no longer on our world."

"What do you mean? How is that possible?" asked Korra.

"I don't know how to explain it, but it seems that cliff has taken us to another world other than yours or spirit world." said Raava.

"How do you know we are in another world?" asked Korra.

"In our world there is a spiritual energy running everywhere. However, in this world I don't feel that spiritual energy, but something different. Something I am unaware of." said Raava.

"I see." said Korra understanding what the spirit was saying.

If she was in another world, that meant she was away from her home, her friends, and her girlfriend. Maybe if she would tell the right person about her problem, she might be able to find a way back to her world. She just needed patience to get answers.

"There's something else. That girl from before, I could sense something special about her." said Raava.

"Lucy? What about her?" asked Korra.

"I'm not sure, but I can tell you that she possesses a strong connection with spirits." said Raava.

At that moment, the conversation ended and Korra opened her eyes, finding herself back on the bed in the room.

What did Raava mean about Lucy? Are there spirits in that world too? How does Lucy have a connection to them? As she thought before, she would have to be patient to get answers.

Just then, the door was heard opening and Korra turned her head to see Lucy walking in.

"Is something wrong?" asked Korra noticing the curious look on the celestial mage's face.

"No, nothing. The master is waiting for you." said Lucy, though Korra could guess they knew something. Maybe the fact that she wasn't from their world.

Even though she didn't know who exactly that master was, Korra thought maybe he might have answers to her questions, so she got out of bed and followed the celestial mage outside.

Once outside the infirmary, Lucy took Korra downstairs. There, she could see many people around, several tables and a bar. Above the bar was an old, short man in a yellow robe. From his appearance and aura emitted, she could tell that this was the master and he was very wise and powerful, so she should treat him with respect.

"You must be Korra, right? I am Makarov, the master of this guild." said Makarov introducing himself.

Korra didn't know what he was talking about, but she had to wait, so she clasped her hands together and bowed in respect.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." said Korra thinking she shouldn't call him master at the moment.

"Just Makarov is fine." said Makarov before Korra stood up. "There's something I need to ask you about. Are you..."

"From another world? Yes, I am." said Korra surprising everyone present except the master.

"A-Are you really from another world? How do you know that?" asked Lucy as she believed she would have her doubts about whether she was in another world or not.

"Call it 'intuition'." said Korra not wanting to reveal too much at the moment.

"I see. Can you tell us a little about your world?" asked Makarov with his arms crossed.

"Yes, but I'd like you to tell me a little about the world I'm in in return." said Korra acting peaceful.

"Fair enough." said Makarov impressed with how the Avatar was acting.

Korra took a deep breath, knowing it was going to be a long story.

"Air, water, earth and fire. In my world there are people known as benders who have the ability to bend one of the four elements." said Korra beginning her story.

"Firebenders, huh? I wonder what their fire tastes like?" commented Natsu.

"Are you seriously thinking about that right now?" asked Charle with a bead of sweat.

"That's Natsu for you." said Happy.

"One question." said Erza catching the Avatar's attention. "If your world is different from ours, how are those bend able to control the elements?" asked Erza sensing that there was no magic in Korra's world from what she had sensed of her.

"They are capable of it because of a special chi that allows them to be able to do so." explained Korra.

"Chi? What is that?" asked Gajeel.

"I read about it once. It's about people's life energy, according to overseas sources." explained Levy.

"I read about it once. It's about people's life energy, according to overseas sources." explained Levy.

"So what chi, for them, is the equivalent of magic power for us." said Lily.

"Exactly." said Levy.

"In my world, there are four nations based on the four elements. The Air Nomads, the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, and the Fire Nation. I am originally from the Southern Water Tribe, but I currently live in Republic City, a place founded for benders and non-benders of all four nations to live together in harmony." said Korra continuing with the explanation.

"And what element can you bend?" asked Wendy.

Korra held up a hand in which she created a small tornado. "The air." Then, with a wave of her hand, she made the water in a bucket rise up like a snake. "The water." Then, clenching her fist, she made a chunk separate from the guild wall before setting it in place. "The earth." And finally, with her other hand raised, she created a ball of fire. "And the fire."

Needless to say, everyone was surprised to see that.

"I thought you said the bender could only bend one element." said Gray.

"How come you can bend them all?" asked Juvia.

"Because I am different from normal benders. I am the Avatar, bender of the four elements and keeper of the balance of the world." explained Korra, surprising the listeners.

"What exactly is the Avatar?" asked Lisanna wanting to know more about her.

"The Avatar is a title that has been in existence for 10000 years. Every time an Avatar dies, he is reincarnated into another person, following a cycle based on the 4 nations. Air, water, earth, fire and back to air." said Korra.

"A cycle that repeats itself over and over again." said Makarov with a straight face, but deep down, he was impressed that there was a power that lasted for so long and in such a way.

"It seems that being the Avatar is a manly job." commented Elfman.

"But Korra is a woman." said Mirajane chuckling at her brother's comment.

"How is it possible that the Avatar can bend all four elements?" asked Erza.

"It's because of her." said Korra.

"Her?" asked Wendy.

Korra hesitated for a moment whether she should tell or not, but from the look on the master's face, she could tell they weren't bad people, so she closed her eyes and concentrated. Suddenly, Korra's chest lit up in such a way that it began to display the symbol of a certain spirit, leaving everyone present with their mouths and eyes open before the glow disappeared.

"W-what is that?" asked Natsu.

"It's not 'what', but 'who'. The Avatar is the result of the fusion of a human with Raava, the spirit of light and order." explained Korra.

"Does she have a spirit inside her?! Was that what Loki felt?" thought Lucy totally impressed and in shock.

For years, the only spirit related magic known was celestial magic and it only allowed them to summon spirits if they had their respective keys, but hearing of someone who had merged with a spirit was something completely different.

"One last question." said Makarov catching the Avatar's attention. "How exactly did you come to this world?"

"Well, it all started when I was in the spirit world." said Korra.

"Spirit world?" asked Lucy.

"It is the place where spirits dwell. In my world there are 3 portals that connect you to that world." said Korra.

Lucy was in awe of that world. When she and her friends went to the spirit world, it was because the spirits wanted to take them there and time worked differently, but in Korra's world, humans could go to the spirit world like Natsu and Happy went home.

She had so many questions to ask her. She wanted to know more about the person who was superior to her in terms of spirit relations.

"As I was saying. I was in the spirit world when a strange event brought me here." said Korra.

"Anyway. Since you've been kind enough to tell us about your world, it makes sense that we now tell you about ours." began Makarov receiving a nod from the Avatar to proceed. "In this world, magic exists. It varies from the manipulation of elements to every form imaginable. Those who master it call themselves mages. Because of the large number of mages, mage guilds were formed, where their members receive requests from people to perform certain missions."

"I see. And I suppose I am in a guild, am I not?" asked Korra having noticed that everyone had the same symbol on an exposed part of their body.

"That's right. You're in the mage guild, Fairy Tail." explained Makarov.

Now Korra understood everything. The strange energy she felt in the atmosphere was the magic of that world. She had to admit that she was impressed, for so far she only knew the bending of the elements, but now she found herself in a world where magic took all possible forms. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of powers those present had, especially Lucy, as she still had Raava's words in her mind.

"I'm not sure, but I can tell you that she possesses a strong connection with spirits." thought Korra remembering the light spirit's words.

"By the way. If you've come to this world accidentally, I guess you wouldn't know how to get back, would you?" asked Erza.

At that moment, Korra's state diminished as she realized the other factor of being in another world, that she was far away from all her friends and family, but most of all from the person she loved the most.

Just seeing her like this was enough to understand her response, something that made the others feel sorry for her.

"Don't worry. We can help you find a way to get you back to your world and while we're at it, you can be part of the guild." said Makarov surprising the Avatar.

"Would you really do that? Why? We just met." said Korra surprised at the master's offer.

"Because that's what we do." said Erza.

"That's right. We're not going to let you loose on a world you don't know." said Gray.

"And even though we just met you, we can tell you're a good person." said Wendy.

"In Fairy Tail, we're all family." said Natsu.

"That's right. In Fairy Tail we support each other when we are discouraged or in danger. The ties that bind us together are what make us stronger. That's what being a member of Fairy Tail is all about." said Makarov.

"Besides, it could be fun, couldn't it?" asked Lucy excited about the idea of her being a member of the guild.

Korra pondered the offer. It was true that she knew nothing of the world she was in and it might take longer to get back to her world if she tried to find the answer on her own.

These people, even though she knew them for only a few minutes and didn't know much about them, were offering to give her shelter at the same time they would help her find a way to get back to her world. Besides, Lucy might be right and joining a mage guild could be fun.

"All right. I accept." said Korra with a smile.

A toothy grin formed on the guild master's face at the Avatar's response.

"You heard, everyone! We have a new member in the guild!" announced Makarov to applause and cheers from the crowd, happy for the news.

Needless to say, Korra was surprised to see the joyful atmosphere in the guild soon after learning she was joining. It was then that she noticed Mirajane approaching her.

"Now that you're an official guild member, I'll have to put the seal on you. Where do you want it?" asked Mirajane politely with the seal.

"I guess here would do." said Korra pointing to the right shoulder, where Mirajane magically placed the seal.

She had to admit that traveling to another world and joining a mage guild was something Korra would never have expected, but as a great sage said, the only thing better than finding something you are looking for is finding something you weren't looking.

Maybe that experience would be a good one after all.
