In her time as Avatar, she had been to several parties. Some were galas parties where people acted with very good manners, others normal, she had even been to Varrick's wedding, but she had never seen a party like the one the guild members were throwing for her induction.

People were dancing and singing like there was not tomorrow, alcoholic, and nonalcoholic beverages were flowing all over the place as was the food. She wasn't going to say it out loud, but they looked like kids at the best birthday party ever.

"Great party, huh?" Korra turned to see Lucy and her friends approaching.

"I admit, I wasn't expecting something like this just for joining the guild." said Korra.

"That's right Fairy Tail. You'll get used to it." said Lucy.

"After all, someone joining our family is a good reason to celebrate." said Erza.

"I can see that, huh..." said Korra not knowing who the redhead was.

"Oh, right. We didn't introduce ourselves. I'm Erza Scarlet." said Erza.

"Gray Fullbuster." said Gray.

"I'm Natsu Dragneel and this is my partner, Happy." said Natsu introducing his partner exceed.

"Aye sir!" said Happy.

Oddly enough, Korra wasn't too surprised to see a talking cat, since she'd had her fair share of talking spirits. Surely Happy wasn't a spirit, but it still wasn't very surprising.

"I'm Wendy Marvel and this is my friend, Charle." said Wendy introducing her companion exceed.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." said Charle bowing in greeting.

"Likewise." said Korra.

"I have to admit, you are impressive. Being the Avatar must be a job with a lot of responsibility." said Erza.

"You wouldn't believe it. When I'm not fighting guys who threaten people, I'm solving diplomatic problems." said Korra.

"Whew, sounds boring. Can't solve everything by kicking ass or something?" asked Natsu.

"That would just generate more conflict. Sometimes things can be solved by peaceful methods." said Korra remembering times when she had to think instead of act.

"You could learn something from her, Natsu. She knows that you have to think before you act." said Gray mocking his friend.

"What did you say, you ice bastard?" asked Natsu.

In the next instant, the foreheads of both mages touched each other as the ice mage emitted a blue aura and the fire dragon slayer emitted a red aura.

"I say you have a brain smaller than a fly and that's why you act without thinking." said Gray.

"Well, sometimes it can be tricky to overthink things." said Natsu.

"He spoke the mute and said what he could." Gray said.

Before a fight broke out, Erza hit the two mages, knocking them to the ground with a whip to the head.

"This is no time for fighting, understood?" asked Erza.

"Yes..." groaned the two in response.

Korra was a little surprised by that. It was like watching Ikki and Meelo fighting and Jinora acting like the big sister, only she was softer than Erza.

Wendy laughed nervously as she saw the Avatar's reaction.

"Don't worry. This happens all the time." said Wendy.

"More times than I'd like." said Charle.

"Hey, out of curiosity, what kind of magic do you have?" asked Korra feeling curious about what kind of magic the mages of that world possess.

"Well, since we've been told about your powers, it's okay to tell you about ours. My magic is Requip, it allows me to change my armor to others with various advantages, I can even change my weaponry." said Erza.

"Wow. With that ability you would be able to take on anyone." said Korra impressed with a power like that.

"Thank you." said Erza happy to receive praise.

"Ok, my turn." said Gray before creating a small ice cube. "My magic is Ice-Make. I can create anything I want."

"Impressive. Waterbenders can only do that if they have water nearby, but you're able to create ice out of nothing. That's a whole advanced level." said Korra.

"That may be so, but I'm sure there are things that only a waterbender can do and I can't." said Gray.

"As for me, I am what is known as a fire dragon slayer." said Natsu, leaving the Avatar confused.

"Wait, did you say... dragon slayer?" asked Korra.

"That's right, I got my magic from my father, the fire dragon, Igneel." said Natsu.

"Not only that. Wendy is also a dragon slayer." said Charle.

"Yes. I am the sky dragon slayer and I got my magic from my mother, the sky dragon, Grandeeney." said Wendy.

"So there are dragons in this world too." said Korra.

"Too?" asked Happy.

"You mean there are dragons in your world?!" exclaimed Natsu in surprise and bringing his face close to the Avatar, making her a little nervous.

"Yes. Well, they haven't seen many since years, but there are." said Korra before Natsu turned away from her. "In fact, the Fire Lord Zuko has a dragon as a companion."

"Really? And what does he look like? Can you describe him?" asked Wendy excited to see a dragon from another world.

"I can do better than that." said Korra before using waterbending to draw water from her canteen and manipulating it in such a way that it took shape and then freezing it, thus creating a statue of Druk, Zuko's dragon. "This is what it looks like." said Korra presenting the statue to Team Natsu.

"How cool!" exclaimed Natsu taking the statue and showing it to the others.

"It looks strong." said Happy.

"It's impressive." said Wendy.

"Worthy of someone so important." said Charle.

"Jo, dude. I'd love to meet him and that Fire Lord Zuzu." said Natsu.

In Korra's world, a certain scarred Fire Lord let out a sneeze.

"How odd. I feel like someone called me by a certain nickname I haven't heard in years." said Zuko before shrugging his shoulders. "Must be age stuff." said Zuko before flying off on the back of his dragon.

"His name is Zuko. Have some respect." said Lucy.

"By the way, what is a dragon slayer to begin with?" asked Korra being curious about a dragon related magic.

"Dragon slayer magic is a type of lost magic, a powerful magic that was lost over time. Such magic grants its users enough power to slay a dragon." explained Erza.

"Not only that. It also grants them an excellent sense of smell and they can devour the element they use. In Natsu's case, fire and in Wendy's case, air." said Happy.

Korra was impressed by the existence of such magic, especially when she learned that Natsu has the ability to devour fire. She wondered what would have happened if he had been with Aang during the 100 Year War against the Fire Nation.

"I guess it's my turn now. I am what is known as a celestial mage." said Lucy.

"A celestial mage?" asked Korra.

"Celestial mages have the ability to summon spirits." explained Lucy.

"Can you summon spirits?!" exclaimed Korra in total surprise, as she would never have imagined such an ability.

"Yes. I can summon them thanks to these keys." Lucy said pulling out a silver and a gold key from her compartment. "The silver keys allow me to summon spirits for common tasks and the gold keys allow me to summon the zodiac spirits, which are the strongest. I usually summon them to help me fight."

"And you don't mind being summoned?" asked Korra remembering that there were spirits who didn't like humans.

"Not at all. I consider them my friends and they consider me their friend, so they are willing to help me when I need it." said Lucy cutting off the part where a certain spirit gets angry at her for summoning her.

Korra was totally impressed. She knew from Raava that she had a connection with spirits, but she didn't imagine it was that way. She had a spirit within her and yet she had a hard time at first befriending spirits, but she was able to befriend many spirits that she can summon to help her in times of need.

"Wow. You're...you're amazing. Even though I am the bridge between humans and spirits, you rarely see both sides being friends, but you are able to befriend them with ease." said Korra.

"The truth is that you're awesome too. I've never heard of someone merged with a spirit before. Plus you live in a world that is very connected to the spirit world. I would truly like to see that someday." said Lucy.

"You would love it. I assure you." said Korra imagining Lucy befriending all the spirits of the spirit world.

"Hey, I have an idea. How about you come on a mission with us?" asked Natsu surprising the Avatar.

"On a mission?" asked Korra.

"That's a good idea. That way, you'd get used to this world and the guild system." said Erza.

"Besides, it would be interesting to see you in action." said Gray.

Korra thought about it for a moment. It hadn't been long since she had just joined the guild and already she was being invited to go on a mission with them. Although, looking at it from the redhead's point of view, it might be a good opportunity to explore that world a bit and see how it worked.

"All right. I'm in." said Korra with a smile.

"YES! LET'S GO FOR IT!" exclaimed Natsu excitedly.

Team Natsu and Korra went to the mission panel to choose a mission to perform and after a while of searching, they chose one that consisted of wiping out a plague of monstrous frogs that occupied a forest near a village.

Once they received the appropriate approval, they left to take the train to the village. At first Natsu, who looked very nervous and scared, suggested walking, but Erza ended up dragging him along, which confused the Avatar. She was even more confused when, just as the train got underway, the fire dragon slayer fell ill. Not only that, but Wendy looked a little sick as well.

Charle explained to her that dragon slayers have such a strong motion sickness that just being in a moving vehicle makes them sick, which was quite surprising to the Avatar to see such a powerful magic have such a weakness.

After much travel, they finally arrived at the village, where they met with the mayor who was the one who sent the mission request for the problem.

"So you are the mages who have accepted the mission to take care of that damn plague, eh?" asked the mayor while smoking a pipe.

"That's right sir. What can you tell us about the problem?" asked Erza.

"You see, those frogs used to live in a river several miles from here, but due to the recent rains, the river suffered such a severe rise that it forced the frogs to move and unfortunately, they have done so into the forest nearby. People are afraid of going in there and being attacked by those creatures." said the mayor as he was smoking.

"Don't worry, sir. We will take care of the matter." said Korra.

"I hope so." said the mayor.

With all said and done, Team Natsu and the Avatar headed into the forest to begin their mission.

"Hey, Korra, in your world did you do missions like this?" asked Wendy.

"Well, not exactly with frogs, but I usually solve problems with spirits." said Korra.

"With spirits? What do you mean?" asked Lucy.

"For 10000 years, humans and spirits lived in separate worlds, but years ago, by opening the spirit portals, I allowed humans and spirits to live together again. Unfortunately, some humans and spirits didn't accept the fact that they were going to live together." said Korra.

"I see." said Lucy.

She thought her world was perfect because humans and spirits lived together, but it seems things can't always be perfect. That reminded her of certain celestial mages who mistreated their spirits and saw them not as people, but as tools, so it was normal for some spirits to dislike humans and vice versa.

"Stay tuned, we don't know when those frogs might show up." said Erza.

"I say we bring them out of hiding." said Natsu slamming his fist into his palm.

"Yeah, right. Like that's the best solution." said Gray.

"What if we use Lucy as bait?" asked Happy.

"I'm not planning on being bait for anything!" exclaimed Lucy.

"Guys, wait up." said Wendy stopping the others' conversation. "We're surrounded."

Natsu began to sniff the air.

"Yes, I can smell it too. There are several frogs around us." said Natsu.

"In that case, get ready for a fight." said Erza as she and the others stood back to back in a circular formation.

A short time later, the six of them were surrounded by a group of frogs that were about their size with a pair of horns and claws on their legs.

"So those are the frogs they were talking about." said Korra.

"They certainly are monstrous." said Lucy.

"Well, that will make the job easier." said Natsu covering his fists in fire.

Seeing the fire as a signal, the frogs darted towards them as they darted towards them.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" shouted Natsu hitting some frogs with his fists of fire. After that, he saw a group of frogs approaching him. "Come on, come and get me. I'm on fire." said Natsu before inhaling air into his mouth. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" shouted Natsu shooting a blast of fire from his mouth that hit several frogs.

"Open the Gate of the Archer! Sagittarius!" shouted Lucy as a light suddenly flashed and as it faded, the aforementioned spirit came into view.

"I am at your command." said Sagittarius.

"And to finish. Star Dress! Sagittarius Form!" shouted Lucy as her attire changed completely accompanied by a bow and arrow.

"I'll do as much damage to them as possible." said Sagittarius before pulling out an arrow and preparing to shoot.

After firing the first arrow, he began firing more at a rapid pace, hitting a few frogs.

"My turn!" began Lucy preparing to shoot. "Star Shot!" shouted Lucy as, instead of a normal arrow, she began firing several energy arrows that exploded on impact, knocking down several frogs.

Even though she was fighting the frogs, Korra couldn't help but be amazed, not only by the spirit's freakish appearance, but also by the coordination he and Lucy had, as well as their abilities.

"Ice-Make: Floor!" shouted Gray as the ground in front of him suddenly froze, trapping a few frogs. "Ice-Make: Lance!" shouted Gray firing ice lances that knocked down the trapped frogs.

"Requip! Flight Armor!" shouted Erza as her armor changed completely accompanied by two swords. "Sonic Claw!" shouted Erza moving like the wind through the frogs, stopping behind a group. Soon after, the frogs fell to the ground due to cuts caused by the redhead's swords.

Wendy stood in front of a group of incoming frogs before inhaling air. "Sky Dragon's Roar!" shouted Wendy shooting out of her mouth a tornado that sent the frogs flying. Suddenly, a frog tried to assault her from behind, but Wendy quickly turned around as she covered her leg with a blast of air. "Sky Dragon's Claw!" shouted Wendy slamming her leg into the frog, sending it crashing into several trees.

Korra had faced many things, but facing giant frogs was something she hadn't expected at all.

With a stomp and a swing of her arm, she lifted a pillar of rock from the ground that struck a pair of frogs. Then, with a flick of her leg, she launched a wave of air that knocked down another pair of frogs. Then, swinging her fists forward, she sent several fireballs that hit several frogs. Finally, with a fluid arm motion, she created with the water from her canteen a water whip with which she struck any nearby frogs.

Unfortunately, one frog managed to sneak up on her and jumped to attack. Fortunately, Korra managed to notice it in time and to dodge it, but unfortunately, the frog's claws managed to scratch her on the shoulder, making her groan in pain.

"Korra!" cried Lucy worriedly for her new friend.

Determined to end this, Korra spun around with her leg raised, sending out a wave of fire that hit several frogs. Then, stretching her arms out to each side, she sent blasts of wind that knocked down more frogs. Suddenly, she erected a pair of stone walls to protect herself from several incoming frogs before pushing both walls so that they collided with each other, knocking down the frogs. Finally, she manipulated the water to create several icicles of ice in the air and, when she lowered her arms, the icicles fell, impacting the remaining frogs.

After that, the frogs began to flee as far away from the place as possible.

"Korra!" shouted Lucy as she and the others ran towards the Avatar. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just a little scratch." said Korra.

"Wait, I'll heal you." said Wendy about to use her healing magic on her.

"No need. I'll take care of it." said Korra using her waterbending to draw some water from the canteen and cover her hand with it.

Suddenly, to the mages surprise, the water in the hand began to glow. Korra put the water-covered hand on the wound and before they knew it, the wound was completely healed.

"H-How did you do that?" asked Wendy in surprise.

"Water has healing properties. Waterbenders can use it to heal wounds or diseases." explained Korra.

"That's amazing." said Lucy in awe of the Avatar's powers.

"I must say, you've impressed me. Especially during the fight." said Erza.

"Yes. You crushed those toads like they were dolls." said Natsu.

"They were frogs." said Happy correcting his friend.

"The way you handled the elements during the fight shows how skilled and strong you are." said Gray.

"Thank you." said Korra with a smile.

"Well, it looks like those frogs won't be coming back this way after what we've done to them." said Charle.

"She's right. We should go back and inform the mayor of the matter." said Erza before she and the others went back the way they came.

After returning to the village, they informed the mayor of the outcome of the mission, being satisfied. After handing them the mission reward, they set out to return to Magnolia, even if they had to go by train to do so, much to the horror of a certain dragon slayer.

During the trip, everyone was resting after the mission, except for Natsu, who was groaning from the pain due to his motion sickness from being in a vehicle.

"Hey, Korra." said Lucy getting the Avatar's attention. "Where are you spending the night?"

Korra's eyes widened as she realized something she had forgotten to think about earlier.

"Honestly, I hadn't thought about it until now. Do you know of any place I could spend a couple of nights?" asked Korra.

"I'd recommend Fairy Hills, it's the dorm where the guild girls live, but the rent is pretty big." began Lucy before an idea flashed through her mind. "I know. Why don't you stay with me at my apartment?"

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want to be a bother." said Korra.

"No, not at all. You'll have a place to sleep and between the two of us we can pay the rent. Besides, it would be fun to spend more time together, wouldn't it?" asked Lucy.

Korra thought about the offer. At first, she thought about staying in a hotel or Fairy Hills, but now she was offering her a place to stay where it would be cheaper. Plus, she also thought it would be fun to spend time with her, since she was curious about her powers and the spirits she made friends with.

"All right. I'll go with you." said Korra.

"Great." said Lucy excited to have the Avatar as a roommate.

By the time the train ride was over, it was getting late, so they split the reward money and each went home, with Korra following Lucy to her apartment.

They both went down a path near a water canal until they came to a building that Korra was able to figure out was the home of the celestial mage. Using the key, Lucy unlocked the door to her home and let the Avatar go through first.

"Welcome to my humble home." said Lucy as Korra entered her apartment. Once inside, Korra could see that the house was quite elegant but simple at the same time. It was like Mako and Bolin's apartment with slight touches of Asami's mansion. "Well, what do you think?" asked Lucy.

"It's nice. It feels homey." said Korra.

"Thank you. That's why I picked this apartment. That and also for the rent." said Lucy, causing her and Korra to let out a small, light laugh. "The bathroom is at that address. You can use it first if you want. I'll take care of dinner."

"Thank you." said Korra before going to the bathroom to use it.

After leaving her clothes in a basket outside, Korra stepped into the bathtub full of water to relax and bathe a bit.

While she was bathing, she stopped to think about her world. Although that world seemed interesting and fun, as well as joining the mage guild and making new friends, one of whom let her stay at her house, she couldn't help but think about the people in her world.

It had only been several hours since she left, but it was clear that her friends would be worried about her, especially Asami, her girlfriend. Surely she would be moving heaven and earth to find her. She wished she could communicate with her and tell her that he was fine, not to worry, but there was no way to do so.

The only thing he could do for the moment was to wait for her to find a way to get back home, to her friends, to her girlfriend.

"Korra." the Avatar's train of thought stopped when she heard Lucy's voice from outside the bathroom. "Do you want me to wash your clothes?"

"Sure. I don't mind." said Korra.

After receiving the Avatar's approval, Lucy took her clothes to put them in the washing machine, but during transport, something fell out of one of the pockets, which caught the attention of the celestial magician.

Picking up the object from the floor, she discovered that it was a photo. In it she could see Korra standing next to a black-haired woman on a creature that looked like a cross between a bear and a dog. On either side of the animal was a very old man and a couple of boys wearing the same uniform, though one remained upright while the other struck an amused pose.

She didn't know who these people were, but she could tell they were friends of hers, friends from her world, a world from which she was estranged. Lucy felt sorry for her at the thought of how much she would miss those people.

At that moment, it was decided that, while helping Korra find her way back to her world, she would make sure she had a good time during her stay in that magical world.

Now she was a member of Fairy Tail and as they do in the guild, when one is down, another comes to cheer her up, and that is what she will do.

Sometime later, Korra had finished using the bathroom and came out of there with a towel covering her body and hair.

"Lucy, I'm done using the..." started Korra walking towards the main room, but stopped when she saw something that left her in shock, for in the living room, sitting on the couch, was Natsu eating a bag of potatoes while Happy was on the floor eating a fish.

A couple of seconds later, Natsu and Happy became aware of the recent presence.

"Ah. Hello, Korra. I see you just had a bath." said Natsu.

"Looking at you like that, you have a better body than Lucy." said Happy as he held the fish in his mouth.

Korra continued to be surprised to see those two in the living room, but then that surprise turned to something else when the towel started to fall off and before she could show anything...

From outside the building, a strong gust of wind shot out from inside, carrying the two into the sky as they screamed until they disappeared with a flash.

"What happened?!" asked Lucy coming into the main room to see a small hole and Korra embarrassingly covering her body with the towel. Just seeing that, she could understand what had happened and let out a sigh. "Natsu and Happy have snuck in again, haven't they?"

"Wait, they've done this before?" asked Korra in surprise.

"More times than I'd like." said Lucy with a bead of sweat.

Korra was so perplexed to hear that that she didn't know what to say about it.

After a small apology, Korra used earthbending to repair the hole. Then, the two had a quiet dinner where they told each other little details of their lives and in the end, they went to sleep.

Thanks to Lucy having an inflatable mattress for cases like that, Korra had a small bed to sleep on, even though at first, Lucy suggested that she sleep on the main bed, but Korra refused.

Despite being in another world, away from the people important to her and the person she loved most, Korra was glad to have a friend like Lucy in that world.
