Magdalene Masters was decorating the castle for her best friend/sister Leta. Of course, Leta wasn't her real sister. Nevertheless, they're so close they couldn't be called anything less.

The affluent hybrid and her family were quite enthusiastic about Leta. Since this celebration they're throwing was a long-awaited baby shower. Leta hadn't an easy time regarding love or having a child.

Leta Morgenstern remained an unbelievably unique individual. Her mother, Zoe, was Caucasian and of Jewish ancestry. Her father, Quinn, was African American and was the leader of their place of worship back home in Idaho.

Leta embraced all that her heritage encompassed. It'd taken a while for her to work up the nerve to inform her parents she was a lesbian. But, like most parents, they'd already figured that out. She'd been concerned her Jewish mother would disown her; however, Zoe accepted her daughter for who she was.

Zoe informed her daughter none of God's children are mistakes. He loves us all, and its against God's will to judge or discriminate against others. He wants us to love everyone and accept them for who they are.

Leta had been immensely alleviated to hear this. She'd been more delighted when her parents accepted her marriage to her lover, who happened to be a ghost. Leta happened to be the Ancient of Magic, Enchantra's apprentice. She'd been magically converted into a half-ghost to assume the responsibility sufficiently. But, during her apprenticeship, she'd come to meet someone special.

A young conjurer named Cordelia. Since Cordelia was a magical-type ghost? Enchantra agreed to train both of them. Things quickly blossomed between them. Now everything seemed perfect. Everyone was so elated to be shortly welcoming another hybrid into the world.

The Ancients' prediction of a growing hybrid population was gradually coming to fruition. However, everyone also knew it wouldn't be till the twenty-second century they'd have a stable population.

Either way? Leta remained super excited to welcome her child into the world. So were all her friends and family, which is why this had to be the most incredible baby shower ever!

Mag was in her ghost form so she could hang higher decorations. Then she heard a charming voice to her right said, "Need some help, sis?" turning around, she saw Leta in her ghost form.

With minor differences, Leta's spectral form resembled Bloom from Winx Club's initial outfit. For one, Leta's attire was heliotrope or purplish-pink. For another? She wore an outstanding jeweled lacework collar. Her outfit didn't include a tiara or wings. However, her ensemble had a pair of floor-length shimmering semi-transparent trains.

Her brown sugar skin had become as white as sugar. Plus, her hair and eyes were now the same shade of pink as cotton candy. All in all, it was a unique look. "Hey, Lavish Leta. Everything alright with you?" she giggled as Lavish Leta was her ghostly name. It certainly did seem to suit the already captivating and awe-inspiring young woman.

"I'm more then fine, Magdalene Soulwings!" mentioning her friend's ghostly name. Leta smiled brilliantly, saying, "I've just returned from seeing my OB, and they said the baby is doing just fine."

"I'm delighted to hear little Rainbow is doing so well!" Mag embraced her best friend happily. Leta hugged her tighter before saying."I'm happy she is too." They'd only recently found out the baby's sex. Cordelia and Leta had agreed to name the baby Rainbow Miracle Morgenstern.

They'd selected that name due to Cordelia having suffered a miscarriage. Yes, even though ghosts have a slightly different way of reproducing? They still can experience miscarriages. Since they are not the souls of the dead, only those who'd accepted the Ancients' offer to become one were what humans assumed apparitions were.

However, real specters were capable of breeding on their own. So, technically speaking, the ghost race was an evolutionary cousin to humans. They'd branched off and evolved differently like many other species on Earth. If you watched a wildlife documentary on TV, you'd understand how evolution worked.

Either way? This was a rainbow baby, which is a baby born after either a miscarriage or a stillborn. Plus, she'd be a miracle. So it only seemed fitting her name be Rainbow Miracle. "How is everything coming along at your guys' apartment? Is Cordy still babyproofing it?" Mag inquired about Leta's wife.

Cordelia wasn't thrilled with her nickname. She only accepted it if either Mag or Leta said it. Anyone else, watch out because you'll be hexed! After they'd gotten married, Cordelia came to live on Earth. However, the laws of the Ghost Zone stated no ghosts could come to Earth unless they'd pass a series of tests.

One vital examination was the capability to hold human form. Each ghost accomplished this in various ways. Given Cordelia was a magic-type specter? She only had to cast a spell to appear human for however long she wished it. They'd like the Masters a concealed Ghost Portal in their home. To come and go as they pleased. Plus, even if you lived on Earth?

Ghosts can get sick if they don't return home to replenish their spectral energy. But, unfortunately, it remained a fact of life. Their cores could only hold out so long before they required more.

It wasn't long before everything was finished being set up. They quickly transformed back into their human forms and went to get something to eat. Leta had to be extra mindful of her diabetes and caring for her unborn child. They were enjoying some nutritious snacks when there was a pounding on the castle doors.

Seeing how Mag wasn't expecting anyone, she wondered who was trying to break down her front door. So the two women headed to the front door and opened it. A middle-aged woman stood there. Her short hair had been bleached blond, and she'd super long nails. It took Leta a few minutes to realize who this woman was.

"Aunt Karen? What are you doing here?!" Her aunt's name was Karen, and she was indeed a total Karen. "Well, my niece is about to have a baby! Why didn't you invite me or your cousin, Emily, to the party?" as she waltzed right in without asking.

It took Mag a few minutes to regain her senses. "Excuse me, Mrs. Archer, but this is my home. Therefore you cannot just walk into someone's home like you own the place!" she snapped angrily.

Aunt Karen didn't seem to hear Mag or even notice her. She only wrinkled her nose at Vlad's Packers objects in the foyer. "Ugh! I assumed someone as rich as you would've some taste! This place needs to be redecorated immediately!"

"Excuse me! This happens to be my husband's space! Therefore, he can decorate it any way he likes! Now again, Mrs. Archer, what are you doing in my house?!" Mag demanded loudly.

Finally, Leta's Aunt Karen spun around before answering. "Well, again, I heard you're throwing a baby shower. My daughter and I felt it was only right we got to share the day."

"Share the day?! What are you talking about, Aunt Karen?" Leta demanded though she already suspected what her aunt's plan was.

Unlike her older sister Zoe who was accepting of Leta being a lesbian? Karen was phobic of anyone in the LGBT community. She was also quite racist and always despised her sister for marrying a black man. For these reasons, they'd gone no contact in Leta's early childhood. She'd never even met her cousin due to her toxic aunt. So why was she here?

"Well, I feel its only right that my daughter gets to announce she's pregnant. After all, she's having a true child of God. Whether yours is an abomination in the eyes of God."

"No way in hell are you hijacking my baby shower, Aunt Karen! Now get the hell out of my best friend's house! And don't you dare come back or try to pull anything!"

She scoffed loudly before disappearing out the door. Mag's first action was to call in a favor from Walker to have some of his police stand watch during the party. Walker, of course, was all too happy to oblige. Any chance he got to implement laws made his day.

Indeed, Aunt Karen and Emily did try to hijack the party and spread their toxicity to everyone gathered. However, Walker's men sent them packing. Two and half months later, Rainbow was born, and everyone couldn't be more joyful!
