"Black, Sirius Black. They're all downstairs already, they say they must shoot today."
A female assistant suddenly screamed, frightening everyone. She excitedly jumped to her feet, "Sirius Black! Sirius Black! I get to see Sirius Black!"
The color in Remus's face faded, and his hands shook uncontrollably.
Ted looked around and saw Remus's pale face. "Remus?" he asked. "What's wrong with you? Hungry?"
Remus replied vaguely, "Ah, well, yes, a little."
Sirius Black? How did this happen? He didn't think he was to see so early. He had already planned not to participate in any work involving Sirius Black, but he never expected that he would be forced to meet him on the first day. He was completely unprepared and stunned.
Peter also looked at Remus. "Remus? Are you okay? You look so pale."
Remus stood up and said awkwardly, "Ah Pete, I've just been out recently from the hospital and need to go home early. Can I go now?" He didn't have to look around. He could already feel the resentful eyes around him. He's avoiding working overtime, and he's new too and should be trying his hardest, not taking advantage of the situation. Being ill is clearly an excuse to get out of work and would inevitably be criticized. So Remus wouldn't have asked for it if he didn't have to.
Although Peter was also reluctant to let him go, after all the others would be upset, but then again Remus was brought in by James himself. And he did say that Remus was not in good physical condition at the very beginning. He could not embarrass James, so he nodded and asked Ted, who was the most qualified person here, "Ted, can you do me a favor? James did say he's still unwell, could you take him home."
Ted nodded. "Yeah, I'll go get his things ready."
The others took a peek at Remus and saw that he really didn't look that well. But still, he was all right all afternoon, then as soon as he heard that they have to work overtime, it is still not very convincible.
Peter goes on, "You go out to take a taxi, I would take you, but there's probably still a lot of work left."
Remus waved his hand repeatedly. "No, I can walk by myself. Apologies, guys, I'll make up next time." Apologizing profusely, he gathered his things and fled toward the elevator.
Just as he was about to reach it, the elevator on the second floor rang, and slowly, but surely, the doors moved sideways.
Remus's heart shivered. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and force himself to calm down.
Sirius doesn't know him, it will be alright.
The elevator door completely opened, standing in the front is the same man who appeared in the LED advertisement, only twenty-six years old and already one of the most famous celebrities in the whole of Britain, the hot movie star and model Sirius Black.
Sirius has grown a little.
Remus's memory of him is still in his youth when he liked to wear that leather jacket and tight jeans, with his cool, domineering and youthful presence. Now Sirius Black is wearing a leisure suit, looking calm and introverted, his expression seems frozen on his face, cold and indifferent. Remus has been in the entertainment industry for nearly ten years, he has seen many beauties, but whether it is three years ago or now, he feels that Sirius is the one whose appearance is the most perfect. He looked like he was carved out by the most talented sculptors, the fact he can attract millions of audiences, is not unbelievable.
After all, he who always thought himself an expert at reading people, also fell head over heels for him.
He couldn't restrain his mind from thinking about all the countless experiences and conversations he had with him. From their very first encounter to the last phone call, only separated one year. Back and forth, those memories were too close, too hot, too powerful. Last week, only last week since saw this man, who has turned in one week from a boy to a hard young man. Remus couldn't describe how strange and weird it felt. Those two years, which were completely blank for him, have changed everyone and everything around him. Not only has he lost the two years, but he was also forced to accept the changes that had occurred in that time.
Remus was standing directly in front of the elevator, so Sirius saw him as soon as he walked out of the elevator into a crowd of people.
Just a stranger he would usually never look at twice, someone he usually wouldn't spare more than a glance. But when he saw him, into that deep, indescribable eyes, shifting between so many emotions, each stronger, deeper, and more complex than the one before. His body seemed to be sucked in, he felt a strong, unbreakable pull.
Why are those eyes so familiar?
Sirius Black bent slightly, unable to stop the frantic thrumming of his heart, he didn't understand what was going on with him. Why would a stranger give him such a strong feeling of recognition? Touch that place deep inside of him, that died so long ago.
The two men looked at each other, standing only a few meters away, so close yet so far away.
Remus tried helplessly to stop the onslaught of emotions that seem to have enlightened when he looked at Sirius. He tried to keep a steady mind, lowering his head, heading for the stairs.
When he passed by Sirius's side, Sirius suddenly leaped in front of him. In the sight of shocked faces and widened eyes, catching everyone by surprise, grabbed Remus's arm, the strength was so big that Remus winced.
Remus looked up at him, Sirius with his height of nearly 1.9m gave him quite a bit of pressure, he stared into his eyes. A bright light appeared in them, resonating in Remus's head. Lips slightly trembling, Sirius coldly asked, "Who are you?"
