Ch 4

After we failed to stop Fisk's men from getting away with whatever the heck that blue stone was, I had Ganke over at my place the next day and told him my new mission. Ganke was eager to help out as always and he hacked into Oscorp surveillance towers to track Kingpin's truck. In the afternoon, I was sleeping on my bed with my headphones listening to the Sunflower song when Ganke yelled my name.

"Miles! Miles!"
"I'm up, I'm up!" I said as I jumped out of bed and took off my headphones.

"Did you find out where Fisk is?"

"Yeah, it says here that he and his men are at an old industrial warehouse." Ganke said, pointing to a map of NYC on his computer. I followed his gaze and a red dot was on the spot next to 14th Ave.

"That's right where Pana Fuerte is." I said.

"Yep, our favorite restaurant." Ganke replied.

"Thanks, Ganke." I told him before I put on my Classic Suit, opened the window, and swung out. So Kingpin was holed up in an old warehouse. I didn't call the others since there should only be a few guys there and I thought I could handle it. I swung through the city until I reached the warehouse and got in through the vents.

"Ganke, I'm in." I said after calling him.

"And I'm on their network. I'm hacking all the cameras so the bad guys can't use 'em to scope you out." Ganke replied.

I crawled through the vents until I found a grate, popped it open, and dropped down onto the rafters. Phin was calling but I couldn't answer now so I turned it off. The first room was a room full of science equipment and 4 thugs. 2 of them were near a desk with computers and the other 2 were at the door. I went over to the ones by the door and separated them with a distraction web before I wrapped them up with perch takedowns. As for the pair by the desk, I zapped one of the thugs with a Remote Mine before I went invisible, dropped down, and webbed the second and last thug by the head and yanked him down before webbing him to the floor. The computer sadly wasn't helpful. It just had a photo of a drawing about the plan that they were going to do to steal something called the Space Stone from Oscorp. Then I remembered the blue stone that the drone took and connected the dots. The blue stone must be the Space Stone. But what the heck would Fisk want it for?

The next room was a very large chamber and it had 6 more thugs around a table with glowing blue blaster rifles.

"Do you think those buyers are gonna come in tonight?" one of them asked.

"Yeah, the deal's gonna happen at 9 PM sharp." another replied. "Man, we're gonna make bank with those new weapons we're selling."

So Fisk was using the Space Stone to make new weapons to sell to other criminals for money. Okay. Then my suit's built-in phone rang again. Luckily I lowered the volume so the baddies couldn't hear. Come on, I mean, in the middle of a mission?! I saw the call was from Peter and I knew if I didn't answer he would freak out.

"Hey man, what's up?" I asked in a low voice.

"Just checking in." Peter replied. "Phin and your mom are asking where you and Ganke are."
"I'm actually at school now." I told him. "I mean, I'm done with school already and I'm on the bus now."
"Oh, that's good. So you're gonna be at FEAST soon?" Peter asked.
"Yep. Yeah, FEAST. That's next on my agenda." I said before we said bye and Peter hung up. Finally.

"Did you hear something?" one of the thugs asked.

"Maybe it was the wind." another replied.

Almost got caught. Great. I went to work, distracting the 6 thugs with web-shots to crates and taking them down with perch takedowns and web-strikes. When the last one was done, I dropped down and took a picture of the blaster rifles to show to my friends later. I was about to leave when the sound of a machine gun loading went off.

"Don't move." a thug's voice said.

I started to charge but then he fired a tranq dart that hit me. I fell down and the last thing I saw was him standing over me before the world went black.
