Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire, the world must fall.
An oath to keep with the final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of death.
I was invisible.
I was invisible.
"Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Jason Grace, Piper Mclean, Leo Valdez, Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque!" a booming voice reverberated around the marble walls.
The Seven stood there, shoulders back, head held high. They acted as if they didn't have help. I laughed bitterly as I watched my former friends betray me.
"You have done Olympus a great service! You have defeated the giants and Gaia! Of course, some of you may be familiar with the Titan War! I believe a bit of deja vu is in order, " Zeus, the king of the gods, boomed. Poseidon snickered at deja vu.
"For your undoubted bravery, we grant each of you one wish. This wish can be absolutely anything! You have done Olympus a great service, with nothing but each other to help you!" he continued.
I won't pretend.
Bitter tears stung my eyes and I had to swallow a lump in my throat. I kept my emotions in a tight knot in my stomach, hoping, praying, it wouldn't unravel.
"I wish for Calypso to be freed from her island prison, and her curse," Leo said proudly. He kept his head held high and seemed to be proud of his decision.
"Your wish is granted," Hephaestus said, snapping his fingers. Out of thin air, Calypso appeared with her bags packed. Leo smiled and faded into the silence.
Would I be mentioned?
No.
That was the sad truth.
"Good choice, my son," Hephaestus looked onward at Leo. Leo smiled up at his dad, and I wished that my father, the one which was present, would look at me that way.
Acknowledge me that way.
But he wouldn't.
Hazel came next, and Hades transformed into Pluto, his Roman form.
"Please, I wish that I am free from all demigod duties for a decade," Hazel pleaded. I scoffed. They didn't turn down her wish yet.
"Your wish is my command," Pluto told Hazel. He snapped his fingers, and apparently, her wish came true.
I rolled my eyes; maybe from bitterness. The others came and went, leaving it to the gods to wait for hand and foot on their foolish, selfish needs.
I definitely think I was bitter.
Lastly, was Annabeth Chase. Whilst they were my friends, Annabeth was my closest. She understood what it was like to get misunderstood, and judged just because of my godly parent, or should I say, godly parents. However, she turned out to be my enemy when Percy started to take a liking to me. I had assured her that we were nothing more than friends, but she didn't believe me. She started to push everyone away from me, and it was heartbreaking to watch my best, best, friend betray me.
But apparently, she knew no shame.
"-and that is why I am grateful for the gods," Annabeth finished. I must have blacked out for the majority of her speech, but I won't lie; I was glad I did.
"But, we have a traitor among us," she declared. I perked up my ears to hear what she was going to say.
An inkling told me everything though.
"Aria Shaw, a traitor to demigods," Annabeth spat my name with abhor. Someone, I don't know who, shoved me forward. Thousands of eyes watched me as I glared daggers at her. All she did was smile, a wicked, triumphant smile.
"My wish is-"
