The following day, the school was closed to give the kids time to recover from the attack and Marinette was in the middle of dealing with a problem.

"Mari, I'm sorry," said Alya who was over at Marinette's place standing at the door to the apartment above the store.

"I should never have believed a word that Lilia said, you are my best friend and that should have meant more than what I took it for," she said.

"But you did, and you did even more than any of the others as you actually tried to hurt me along with her," said Marinette.

"So, as far as I'm concerned our friendship is over, go find a new best friend and never contact me again," she said before slamming the door. Marinette managed to make it to the couch before a knock came from the door.

"Enough, Alya!" she said while storming to the door but opened it to reveal Adrien standing there instead of the mentioned girl.

"Hey, Mari," he said with a slight nervous wave of the hand.

"A… Adrien, I'm so sorry, Alya…," said Marinette before Adrien cut her off.

"I passed her on my way here, I can imagine how that went so there's no need to apologize to me," said Adrien.

"But I'm not here about that, I'm here to thank you for the scarf," he said.

"You're not upset that it wasn't actually from your dad?" asked Marinette.

"A little, but I'm more upset that I never saw your signature on the edge until last night," said Adrien as he held the scarf in his hands and looked at the signature stitched into the seam.

"I just thought you looked so happy so I couldn't tell you the truth," said Marinette.

"I'm used to him not getting me anything though, and I still don't know how the switch up happened," said Adrien. An awkward silence then fell on them for a minute.

"Hey, would you like to come in and play UMS Three?" asked Marinette while opening the door more.

"Sounds fun," said Adrien with a smile as he walked in.

The End.
