A/N: Hi everyone! Here it is my first fic. You have no idea how I enjoyed writing this, so I hope y'all enjoy it with me too.

I wanna thank Katja (darveyou) for being such a lovely beta and Gabi (paulsendelrey) for all the conversations, ideas and the mental breakdowns about Darvey that we have on a daily basis.

"Love you too Mom, see you, bye." Harvey says, hanging up as he walks over to Donna, who's having her first morning coffee on the counter. He takes a place next to her, giving her a kiss on the forehead. A gesture that at first glance seems very simple, but for him it is one of the softest ways of saying I love you., And now that he can do it smoothly, he's not going to deprive himself of it.

"All good in Boston?" Donna asks, taking a sip of the drink that will allow her to start the day with all the energy possible. Due to Harvey's sudden epiphany in which he realized what's really important in life, they've been sleeping less than they were used to. And eventually, it ended up taking its toll.

"Mmmm yes, all good, don't worry." Harvey mutters, looking away from her and taking his mug. Without wanting to talk much more about it, he loses himself in his thoughts for a few seconds, while savoring the vanilla touch of his coffee.

The last and one of the few times Harvey has introduced a woman to his family was Paula, and well, the evening was not at all what he'd expected if he's honest. He assuredly knows that Lily never wanted to screw up dinner like that. In fact, if you think about it, it was more Harvey's fault than Lily's. Who the hell calls someone a "special person" who is not his current life partner? Although he doesn't regret the label that, some months ago, he put to the woman next to him right now, looking at him confused.

"What is it?" Donna questions leaving her mug on the counter, knowing that there is something about that call with his mother that does not leave him alone.

"Nah, it's nothing serious... Mmmm..." Harvey gasps trying to find the right words. Is he now 17? He sighs in denial trying to sort his mind. "Well, I know that it wasn't more than a month since I finally took my head out of my ass. And that we agreed that for now this would be just for us..." He says biting his inner lip, meeting his gaze with Donna's. "But Mom called to ask how I was doing and for some unknown reason she asked me if I had met someone. She apparently noticed me more... more relieved, happier." He says putting his hand on her thigh without taking his eyes off her. It is not that it is a very contentious subject, but for some reason he needs to make sure that after this conversation everything will still be fine.

It isn't a big deal, but he feels like he's about to ask the girl he likes to go to high school prom. The Paulsen effect, he thinks.

"In short," he whispers, looking away from her again. "I have told her about you, about us... And she has invited us this weekend to Boston."

Donna widens her eyes, surprised to see him so nervous, she really thought something important had happened to his family. And she thought she was the dramatic of the relationship.

"Why Harvey. That's wond..." Harvey cuts her off, continuing with his rambling. "Look, I know what we agreed on, but I think many years have passed of us denying the obvious, and at least our family should know it. Marcus knows you perfectly, and Mom already knows that you are that special person... But I honestly wish I could introduce you to my family as my girlfriend?" He shrugs, clenching his jaw.

"Look at you... the great Harvey Specter with a girlfriend! You won't make love too, will you?" Donna grabs him by the neck of his pajama t-shirt and pulls him closer to her. She laughs on his lips, all flushed, the situation really making her tender.

"Don't push it." Harvey grumbles, completing the little space between them with a soft kiss.

"What do you say, huh? Are you coming with me? If not, I can find any last minute redhead who wants to join me in exchange for a Hermès." He mocks her, wearing his cocky smirk.

"Are you saying that if I go, I'll get a Hermès too? Because now there's no going back, mister!" She winks, giving him a peck getting up from the chair to get ready for the day.

Two days later, Harvey and Donna arrive in Boston. He presses the bell at Lily's house while shaking his leg nervously, huffing and puffing. Not even in his wildest dreams has he been seen in another like this one. Lily is the first person he will introduce Donna to as his girlfriend, and it's an idea he had never contemplated. Either because, until just a month ago, the lines with Donna were "clear" or because he couldn't even hear the name of his mother without it making his skin crawl. But apparently, fate had other plans for him.

"Hey... Take a deep breath, I can hear you thinking. There's no way I'm not going to captivate her with my special charm." Donna whispers in his ear, giving him a kiss on the cheek and laughing, trying to save him from his own thoughts with her sassiness. Sometimes she has a hard time reading him, but even a blind person could see how nervous he is right now.

"Look at these lovebirds! Come in!" An old voice sounds while opening the door, breaking the bubble they were immersed in and Lily appears with a beam. They get into the house and once in the living room, Harvey clears his throat, glancing at Donna and Lily repeatedly. "Mom, meet Donna. Donna, meet Lily." Harvey sighs eagerly, caressing the small of Donna's back.

"Oh! So you are the famous Donna who drives the Specters crazy!" Lily exclaims, receiving her in a big and warm hug. "Ever since I heard your name for the first time, I knew that I would get used to hearing it. Nice to meet you, sweetheart." The older woman smiles softly, rubbing Donna's left arm affectionately.

"What can I say? It's not like I wanted to get rid of them either!" Donna laughs while blushing, breaking body contact with Lily. After all these years, the love that she has for Marcus and at the time had for Gordon is inevitable. Maybe it's one of the many other reasons why it was impossible to detach Harvey from herself.

A few hours have passed when the three of them are in the living room, talking of everything and nothing. Harvey is totally relaxed as Donna and his mother strike up conversation after conversation easily. In the end, all the nerves he came with were useless because the two most important women in his life seemed to get along wonderfully from the get-go.

Suddenly, the house is filled with shouts and small steps approaching them.

"Uncle Harvey!" Yell Haley and Matt, throwing themselves into Harvey's arms as soon as they enter their grandmother's living room.

"Hey hotshots! How are you? You are not going to stop growing or what? Look who has come with me!" He says smiling, undoing them from his embrace so they can greet her.

"Hi, Auntie Donna!" Haley says excitedly hugging the redhead. Her favorite part every time they go to New York to see her uncle, it's when Donna shows up and leaves her one of her handbags or lets her try on her high heels.

"Hi pretty, everything okay? You have a different voice! But you look gorgeous in that dress anyways!" Donna says, giving the little girl a kiss on the head. At first, she was surprised that Haley called her "auntie", but it really isn't the first time she's done it. After all, Marcus is like a brother to her too.

"Oh yes, a few days ago I caught the flu... but I'm already much better!" Says the little girl, settling on her lap while her brother stays with her uncle.

The weekend comes to an end and Donna and Harvey head back to New York. To tell the truth, the days with his family had gone better than he expected. Although he still doesn't know what he was so afraid of, so ignoring some jokes of Marcus messing with his blindness, the weekend had gone smoothly. Donna has been part of the family for years, only now she is in a more official way.

When the alarm clock goes off at 6am, Donna huffs exhaustedly, turning around in bed. They arrived in NYC in the afternoon and were able to go to bed early, trying to recover hours of sleep. But now she feels that her head is about to explode and her body weighs like three times more than usual.

"Mm… Harv… I can't wake up..." She murmurs into his neck, rolling onto him.

"What's happening?" Harvey yawns, turning off the alarm, pulling Donna closer to him. During these weeks he has learned that she loves to stay in bed longer just being lazy, but she never complains about getting out of bed when the alarm signals that it is time to start the day. "Jeez babe, you are on fire!" Harvey freaks out when he kisses her on the forehead and notices her high body temperature.

"I know... everything hurts..." She snorts, curling into a ball when he pulls away from her.

"Goddamnit Donna, I have two important meetings today... But you definitely have to stay here. I'll call Louis, okay? Don't worry." He sighs, picking up the bedspread and covering her, worried. In the 13 years that he has known Donna, she has never missed her work because she is ill. And now that it is his responsibility to take care of her it pisses him off to have to leave her alone during the day, being in the condition that she is.

Harvey begins to get ready for his day. He also prepares breakfast for Donna and before leaving brings the medicines to the nightstand. "Here is a pill to lower your fever and breakfast, with a touch of vanilla that cures all ills." He whispers, caressing her hair. "I need to go to the firm, okay? Call me if you need something, please." He says, giving her a kiss on her hair without being very sure if she is even listening to him.

As soon as he gets to Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, Harvey walks up to Louis's office, praying that the lawyer makes his day easier and not the other way around. "Hey Louis, Donna called me to let me know that she won't be coming to work for the next few days... Hmm… I think she went on the weekend to see her parents and apparently she has caught the flu. I'm saying it so you can tell the rest because I'll be busy with some meetings, gotcha?" He says, making a fine line with his lips without wanting to say much more. In his mind, at least the excuse wasn't that bad.

"Donna Paulsen taking the leave? Oh god, she really must be sick! I'll call her later to check how she is. Thanks for letting me know, Harvey." The lawyer answers all cluelessly.

Harvey did everything he could to get home as soon as possible from work. When he arrives at his condo at the end of the afternoon, he lets out a big sigh of relief when he finds Donna on the couch watching a movie. "Hi, are you feeling better?" He mumbles, approaching her and giving her a peck. He has been calling her throughout the day to make sure she didn't need anything else, but noticing that she doesn't have the high fever of this morning relieves him quite a bit.

"Yeah, the fever is gone but my head is still bottled up." She says, smiling slightly when she sees he arrived sooner than usual. Not that she had a bad morning by herself under the circumstances. The medicines and the breakfast that he had prepared for her early in the morning have served its function, but doubtless with him by her side the day would have been much better.

"I guess having been with Haley for so long this weekend has taken a toll on me. So that's what you've gotten rid of!" She hesitates once he has made himself comfortable and is on the couch lying with her. During the weekend, Haley and Donna had been practically the same person, in fact one afternoon Harvey had to claim his girlfriend to his niece to be able to kiss her. Therefore the consequence of that great union, bearing in mind that the little girl had been ill, is that now Donna is.

"Has someone asked you more than enough?" Asks Donna, curiously stroking his hair. It is common knowledge in the firm that Harvey and Donna are, in effect, the same person. But what no one there knows yet is that now they actually are the same person in all areas.

"No, nothing out of the ordinary. Just to cheer you up if you call me again." He says while shrugging, caressing her hand with his thumb and closing his eyes. After a long day of meetings, there is nothing better than to arrive home and feel cared and loved.

The next day the alarm rings again at 6am, but this time it is Donna who turns it off. Luckily, the fever hasn't returned since yesterday and she feels much lighter. She rubs her eyes while yawning and when she looks around, Harvey isn't next to her. "Harvey?" She asks, frowning. She doesn't remember hearing an alarm earlier than the normal one.

She decides to get out of bed when she gets no response but soon she hears noises in the bathroom. When she approaches the room, she sees him sitting next to the toilet with his back against the wall and his skin almost as pale as hers. "Oh honey…" she sighs, nodding and approaching him, putting her hand on his forehead. Sure enough, he has the flu too.

"I'm starting to regret dating you... I've had a hell of a belly ache for like an hour." He whispers devilishly, although without leaving aside his hesitant side.

"You need to let Louis know that you won't be able to go to work today. And I'll take care of you, okay?" She says, caressing the short hairs on his wet nape.

"Hmm, I'll have to call Samantha. Louis had a meeting first thing in the morning and he'll be on his way by now." He blows and rubs his forehead. Therefore, he takes what little strength he has left in his body and with Donna's help he gets up off the floor, heading towards their bed.

Once they have both eaten breakfast, him one lighter due to his situation, and taking their meds, Harvey sets the hands free while he calls Samantha. Being the time that it is, he knows that she will already be there, and the only thing he wants is to forget about the firm as quickly as possible and curl up with Donna on the couch all day waiting for both of them to heal from this damn flu.

On the second ring, the blonde lawyer takes the call. "Hi Specter, I'm here with Alex and Katrina. You have not arrived yet, have you?" Says the woman, turning on the hands-free. It is strange that he hasn't arrived at the office yet.

"Hey Wheeler, that's what I wanted to talk about. Apparently I've caught the damn flu too. I feel like a truck has run over me." Harvey explains, huffing and glancing at Donna out of the corner of his eye while she dries the breakfast dishes she just washed.

"Jeez, we have, at least, a whole day without COO and a managing partner. If someone wants to bring us down, undoubtedly today is the best day! Get better, man." Alex comments in the background jokingly.

"Wait... How did you catch the flu too? Donna hadn't taken it on the weekend when she went to visit her parents? Why have you gotten sick too if you haven't seen her since Friday?" Samantha debriefs curiously, practically accusing Harvey. When Alex had joked that they are without COO and managing partner, something has ignited in her head. She is definitely too smart for those teenagers' bullshit.

Harvey's eyes widen, looking at Donna, who murmurs "What the hell?" at the same time that Samantha's accusation comes out of her mouth. Meanwhile, he's panicking, not knowing what to answer. His head is spinning too much between the fever and the meds to think of any quick credible excuse. At what point it seems that he's being interrogated in court?

Donna drops the dishcloth and bites her lower lip when she sees the panic on Harvey's face and takes the cell phone out of his hands. She clears her throat, straightening up in her place and takes a deep breath. "Hi guys, it's Donna. Hmm, may or may not Harvey and I spent the weekend together in Boston with his family… His niece Haley had the flu those days so apparently she hit it on me, and… Me to him." Says the COO, looking at Harvey like she just confessed to a crime.

Not that they were going to hide their relationship forever. In fact, Harvey's family already knows it and Donna had spoken with her mother to pay her a visit soon to tell her about them. But of course, this wasn't the way in which they had planned for their friends to find out about them. And to be honest, they wanted Rachel and Mike to be the first ones to know about them after their families. Nobody but them knows what it has cost Harvey and Donna to get to where they are now.

"So… Looks like you might be becoming more than that, huh?" Katrina chuckles, remembering the comment Donna made to her a few months ago.

"Look guys, it's not that we didn't want to tell you... This is still very new to us. Not every day Harvey Specter pops his head out of his ass, you know?" Jokes the redhead, seeing how Harvey raises an eyebrow, pretending to be offended. "But I promise you that we were going to make it official! Just well, you guys caught us before, I guess." She apologizes, intertwining her free hand with Harvey's, who now has a more relaxed posture as the world keeps turning after their news.

"Nonsense Donna, we understand you perfectly. Even if you look like two teenagers who are kissing all over the school trying not to get caught by the headmistress." Samantha teases. "Seriously guys, we are very happy for you, even if that means that we have to be two more days without the pillars of this fucking firm."

"Yeah... We're really sorry, trust me. I'm feeling somewhat better today, so I think I could work a bit from home while I take care of Harvey?" Donna suggests while she now strokes Harvey's neck, who looks like a walking dead man due to fever.

"That would be great, but I'd rather you guys rest and recover as soon as possible, so you can be here, okay?"

"Of course Samantha, thank you very much. And please don't tell Louis anything yet about Harvey and me, okay? The last thing the firm needs is for another managing partner to take leave as well." Donna laughs, knowing perfectly how Louis will react when she finds out about them.

When the conversation ends, Donna leaves Harvey's cell phone on the counter, giving him a kiss on his wet temple. "It seems that I have been given a free pass to take care of you all day... How about we go back to the couch until your fever is gone? And in the afternoon, we call Rach and Mike..." Donna says softly, smiling slightly, praying that Harvey recovers soon. Apparently it's time to tell the whole world that Harvey has always been for her, and she has always been for Harvey.

And why lie? Donna really wants to never have to hide it anymore, because finally, being together feels goddamn right.
