"Don't move!" the cry rang out. Heavy footsteps thudded on the forest floor. The moon glowed brightly, not seeming to comprehend the dangers. My hand instinctively went to the hilt of my sword as shadowed figures emerged from the darkness, blades drawn. I sighed. "Just a breath away until I reach the port... seems like I couldn't evade you after all,"

One stepped forward, brandishing his weapon. "Vision Hunt Decree! Hand over your Vision!"

"If only if you could make one exception..." I murmured, but they showed no intention of backing off. "Things could have been easier for you," I said, unsheathing my sword. I felt the Anemo power inside gathering as I dart forwards. "A... a maple leaf?"

The scene shifts.

I feel crisp grass under my feet and smell the fresh scent of autumn. I sit in a clearing in the woods. All around, leaves are falling. I look up to see birds in flight, heading for warmer climates. "What are you thinking about, Kazuha?" a voice startles me out of my thoughts. I turn around to find I am not alone. A tall young man stands there, a playful pout upon his face. As I watch, he breaks into a grin. "Come on... relax for a while, Kazuha! I'm sure we can spare some time for your musings later!" he insisted, flopping down beside me. I smiled. We lay there, side by side, watching the sunset.

After a while, he shifts into a sitting position, and I do the same. Night has just fallen, and a storm is on the horizon. I can already feel the buzzing in my ears, a cacophony of noises from creatures preparing themselves. We set up a temporary camp in the shelter of the trees nearby. As we organise the bedding, he asks an unexpected question.

"About this Musou no Hitotachi... surely there is someone who can withstand it?" I looked at him in surprise.

"The Musou no Hitotachi? No one has ever survived it. It is the apex of the Raiden Shogun's skill." he looked sceptical but said no more. I looked at him. "Why would you ask that? Surely you're not thinking of challenging it, are you?"

He fell silent. I was aghast. "It's too dangerous! You'd die! You can't-"

"Kazuha." he cut me off. "Just because it's dangerous, then what? Are we going to hide away just because we have a Vision?"

He didn't wait for me to answer. "The Raiden Shogun has gone on like this for too long. Someone has to step up." he looked me in the eye. "There will always be those who dare to brave the lightning's glow."

Once again, the scene shifts.

I am standing in an arena, and the air feels charged with electricity. I glance up to see the Raiden Shogun raise her sword. At her feet was my friend, bleeding from many wounds. He had lost the challenge. "No!" I cried, starting forwards. She took no notice. Under a whirlwind of crackling purple strikes, my friend fell.
