Alright hi! It's been a long time since I wrote, let alone wrote anything but poetry, but I heard this song (Hungry by INXS) and I felt like it was something Sho would sing, vocals and all. Please enjoy!

"You needto find the gift of love,

that comes from deep inside"

"You don't belong to me,

I've just gotta let you go"

Regret wasn't something Sho was familiar with, and worse he had a hard time letting go. He never used to, he used to be able to shut out the expectations of his parents, Kyoko, her feelings, his feelings for Kyoko. But things were different now. She had slipped away because he was careless with her, and for that he was painfully overflowing with regret.

He came to tour America with new music, and a new mindset. He couldn't ignore that it hurt, that he was struggling with the mere thought of her smiling at anyone like she used to do towards him, or even worse - supporting someone with her entire soul as he knew she was capable of doing. But she didn't belong to him, it was something he had now finally come to terms with after that morning at the Darumaya. And he had to let her know. Because he knew, he knew on some level that came from being such close friends with someone since such a young age that feelings like this were unmistakable, her change in mood was unmissable and her smile was contagious again, and so was his. He seemed to be walking on an air that had nothing to do with his good looks, fame, or popularity, the pin headed man was smiling a smile that was radiant to even Sho himself. So, in every beat of his heart, he just knew. She had fallen in love with Tsuruga. And Tsuruga was in love with her as well.

Leaving home hadn't been easy for her, on her own, in that overpriced apartment, working more jobs than anyone should have to. Just to support him and give him a place to stay, and he had abandoned her when he felt he no longer needed the comfort she gave to him. The guilt had been eating away at him for awhile, nothing seemed to ease its constant ebb and flow. It ticked him off. How could he have been so careless? Her mother had left her at the ryokan, abandoning her to be cared for by others, but she had always disliked Sho, she disliked her daughters attachment to him because it was anything but sibling-like. She had seen how he was a selfish and spoiled brat from a young age. That was the toughest pill to swallow, that she had been right. Not at all about Kyoko, but entirely right about him.

She'd never had a home, never had a place that was her own, instead she was forced into a crowded space, that somehow she was gratified by it to this day. Using her postures, etiquette, and professionalism to soar into showbiz with more success than he had ever dreamed she would. She had blossomed from the ashes that were her old life and found freedom in herself and made dreams of her own.

It was all clicking into place, he couldn't stop his mind from racing through every memory with her, every time she had been a steady stone to hold on to as the waves crashed around him, and he was remembering every moment he was never there, playing that role for her when she had needed someone. He could never forget that she admitted that she would run to the forest to cry, so she wouldn't be a bother. He had made her feel like a bother.

"Fuck..." a sigh escaped him.

The clock on the wall ticked, counting away the seconds until he would have to go get ready to preform, where he would sing to her, even though he knew she wasn't there to listen to him anymore, he had written the song for her and he hoped that one day she would hear it. That she would take a breathe of relief, that he was letting her go and supporting her newfound freedoms.

Standing from the spot he was lounging and brooding on the sofa in his hotel suite, Sho pulled out his composing papers and began to write, unable to be anything but inspired by his all time favorite muse.

Her life was a precious thing, and he wasn't going to deny that anymore. He knew she had found a job she loved, a life she loved. Another crowded home, but this time it was one that was full of people that loved her, he couldn't ignore how the owners of the restaurant cared for her like god parent. She had found a home that satisfied that need for comfort, a place that he was never able to give her while growing up, and he would never get the opportunity to give her that ever again.

He had hoped she would've turned back, that somehow they would talk it out, but he knew he was to blame for even that. She was on the highway to success, and she was moving at a speed he never expected she would be capable of. She was catching up to him in her own way, and he had no doubt her debut would be soon, catapulting her to knew heights as an entertainer, where she would glow in the same spotlight as him, but only she would outshine himself and even Tsuruga Ren. The mere thought of her success was enough to make his heart race, Sho believed he didn't belong to anyone, and for a long time he truly felt he would never love a plain girl like Kyoko. But she wasn't plain was she? No. She was superb, talented, and feisty, and had the most wonderful golden eyes... He did belong to her, but only in an emotional way.

A knock sounds at his door, "Yeah?"

Shoko, with her smooth curves and long hair, his ideal type opened the door and walked in.

"Are you writing again? You have to be at hair and makeup in 10." she says while glancing curiously down at the pages covered in handwritten music notes and lyrics, noting the scratched over parts were almost outnumbering the messy handwriting of her client.

"Yeah, I can't seem to get the words right for this one," Sho grimaced, holding his head in his hands and rubbing his temples, wishing he had been born a smarter man. "I'll go now so they can get a head start. I can work on this later, maybe it'll flow then."

Shoko watched him grab his belongings and make for the door, watching his back and noting the obvious slouch in his shoulders. She couldn't help but guess that it had something to do with Kyoko again. Nobody else was able to put him in a mood like this, and the last time she'd seen it was when he was writing himself into a frenzy after their argument about Vie Ghoul.

Sitting and getting his hair and makeup done did little to help his mind from wandering, no matter how hard he tried to have small talk with the crew, they already didn't like him much for his tardiness and pompous attitude that being friendly now was only a one way street. They were polite with his meager attempt at discussing the weather, to him asking about certain hair products that would give him a softer tousle instead of the sharp look it had now.

He supposed that his will was becoming threadbare, he missed her. He was fucking lonely, no matter how many times he tried to convince himself he wasn't, no matter how many women he had hanging all over him, no matter how many times he told himself that Kyoko did not belong to him, that he was letting her go, he was still so damn unhappy about it. The hunger for another chance burning inside of him was stronger than any passion he had felt before. But he was the only one reaching out, seeking her out, visiting the Darumaya with the mere excuse for the food. He was reaching out for her all on his own and it was both painful but confirming.

Sho wasn't the lustful type, he'd tease and he'd admit he likes women. Especially the curvy flirtatious ones. So he never would have guessed that he would ever feel lust towards someone like Kyoko. It had all started to make sense as time went on, he was himself around her, she knew him best and never thought he was uncool for enjoying late night comedy shows or convenience store pudding, so it wasn't exactly surprising that he found comfort with her and became attached to her. His lust for for her was bubbling up from deep inside, just being in her presence made him noticeably nervous and insecure now, something he never would have thought possible. Which made him unable to keep his mind from wandering to Ren Tsuruga, and his lust for her as well. He hated that thought with every fiber of his soul, and the mere thought of Kyoko feeling lust towards him back, well, it made his body almost completely rebel against itself, like his skin was being turned inside out and becoming way too tight. Slowly and painfully suffocating him with the truth he couldn't escape. Because he was beginning to believe that she would find that emotion with him, Ren knew her heart was a special place, he had no doubt he knew exactly what Sho had done to her, what her own mother had done to her. And Ren had full intentions to never do the same towards her, he would always be there for her. And Sho would always be there in her heart, too, he knew that. But the love she had felt for Shotaro was near gone, and it was being replaced with platonic friendship, if even that.

Blue eyes stared back at him in the mirror as his hair was getting it's last finishing touches, soon the two crew members would leave and he'd don the silky strips of fabric that made up his costume, leaving little to his torso hidden from his fans, but that was nothing compared to the raw exposure he would feel when he would sing the songs of his heart to a crowd much bigger than he had ever dreamed he would preform in front of, butterflies with wings like razors fluttered about in his stomach, and gooseflesh burst across his skin in anticipation and pride. He had succeeded in achieving so many of his goals.

Making his way to the back stage, he had his sound pieces fit to his ear, his mic was waiting for him center stage with his band members while they did last minute tuning on their own instruments. Slinging the guitar strap over his shoulder, he made his way out to great the cheers that were near deafening, to his dear lover that was fame and music, to sing to the girl that told him his dreams were possible all those nights ago, when he would sing silly songs he had written at school that day, and she would clap and praise him and smile.

She didn't belong to him anymore, and he was going to let her go, in a romantic way, in his emotional way. He was going to talk to her when he got back from tour, and he was going to apologize, make amends, and try to be her friend. Just to witness her live her life on the fast track of her own way in all this, and he was going to wish her luck and clap and praise her and maybe, just maybe, she would smile with him again like she used to.

Finished

Well! There it is. I guess this is how I hope her relationship with Sho will be resolved, with a sincere apology and friendship. Hope you liked it! The band and song has always been one of my favorites, and the lead singer has the dreamiest voice. Thank you!
