Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Fight or Flight. Enjoy the 2500-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

(Vale.)

The beasts set in as Raven raised her blade to dice them in half. Raven ran Omen across one of their throats and freed it from their throat. It honestly made her ponder what in the world was going on if they wanted someone dead this badly enough to where they seemed to actively be throwing themselves into battle.

Still? The Beowolves were persistent and it became clear the more she struggled against them? The harder this battle was becoming as they tried their hardest to try and murder her. It became more of a trial-and-error thing as they set in.

"Are you ok?" Maize asked while he seemed to question his options.

He raised Vindicta and sent a shot through one of the Beowolves and sent the monster to hell as he blew smoke off his weapon. This was honestly a lot weirder than he had expected when it came down to it. There were more monsters as both of them attacked the monsters when it came down to it.

"Do we need to have a plan or do I need to tell you how to shoot the Grimm?" Maize heard Raven state before he chuckled when it came down to it.

"So, the plan is just killing all of them and hoping we get lucky? That's nice. There's a lot more on the line and we're fighting an entire army of monsters that want to feast on our flesh." Maize stated before he rolled his eyes.

He has honestly amused me more than anything when it came down to it. She had become at the second a lot tougher at the time when he considered it.

A lot tougher than he expected. He glanced around before he seemed to tilt his head. He was honestly curious about what was to come. There was a fire building in his chest that made him curious about what was to come at the time.

"Can't you open another of those portals like you did before?" Raven heard from Maize as he raised an eyebrow. "There are a few soldiers around here. I'm curious about what to do next." Maize stated before he tilted his head to the side.

Still? There was a lot more on his mind when it came down to it. There was a lot more Grimm around this area than there were before. He had been curious at the second. He was going to honestly scream

"It doesn't work unless there's someone with a strong emotional bond tied to me," Raven said before she glanced around at the Grimm. "Give me some room, I need to do something," Raven stated before she still tilted her head to the side.

"Are you sure?" Maize questioned before he seemed to tilt his head to the side.

There was a glance at the bandit princess that seemed to be interested in what was to come down to it. They glanced at one another before they brought their weapons up. They were ready for this. He seemed to be ready for this. He rolled his head before he seemed to tilt his head.

She was insane. He had come to that conclusion rather easily. She was insane, crazy and he enjoyed it. it warmed his heart to see that she was taking his advice to at least some degree.

Still? She wanted this, wanted to be part of the action and it was clear to her that this was going to end one way or another. It'd be a lot more interesting on the way down. This would need to end sooner or later and he had no real reason to consider it at the time.

This would be a lot more terrifying when it came down to it. He sighed to himself as he tilted his head, curious as to what the hell she'd do next. This would become more insane as time went on one.

He hummed before he snapped his fingers. There was more going on than this. It'd become a lot more as of the second as he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. There was more going on than had been saying before he clicked his tongue and sighed at the monsters, interested in what to do next.

If these creatures would try any further attempts to kill them? They'd be met with death, but he knew Raven's blade was slowly running out and his ammo was slowly dwindling. It'd not last any longer and he knew it. this was going to end one way or another.

He shook his head and shot one of them as he hummed and smiled to himself before glancing around. There was more going on than this. He had been interested and yet she had yet to come up with any type of idea that had to question what to do as of the second.

"Your insane, I just want you to know as of the second," Raven stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Do we have a plan at all to get out of here or are we just going to wing it?" Maize questioned before he tilted his head as he looked down at the monsters below.

It had been insane, a lot more insane than it had any real reason to be. He sighed and realized there was probably no real plan on the line to end this and she knew it. These monsters came after them like sharks.

Still? If they were going to get out of here? They'd need to be much faster than this. A lot faster if he was at all honest to himself.

Raven dispatched another Beowolf, skewering the animal in half with one swift stroke. It made her question what to do next if there were so outmatched. There was only so much that could be done next at the time.

He did not run; she could not call him a coward nor did she want to. It was something that had been bothering her for a long time than had been. It was a lot more curious to hear how he had come to own this level of skill. The more time that she poured into this? The more that she felt herself ebbing away.

Maize flipped his weapons around and transformed them into their dagger forms. He sighed and backed up slightly which forced him into Raven's back. She glanced at him as he hummed and looked around at the many soldiers who could be their end.

They wanted to scar and kill both of them. They were good, very good when it came down to it. there was a lot more that had been interesting when it came to battle. Neither of them could retreat, nor did they wish to retreat at the second.

She glanced around, Grimm in every direction and they had been worn down like a fine sword. If they were smart? They'd hit them now and destroy both of them.

Then again? They were Grimm, they were dangerous, but they were still beasts, still at the mercy of their base desires of the time. it'd be a lot less interesting if they hadn't been surrounded and outnumbered.

Maize sighed as he realized they had been running out of options. Either they managed to break the deadlock or they would themselves be broken by the enemy at large. There were no other options.

Still? if they were to escape even a little bit? They'd need to go now. Maize threw himself into the midst of the soldiers, firing his weapons before he kicked off one of the Beowolves and falling deeper into the midst of the animals who seemed to reach out towards him. He had been something to happen as of the time being.

He knew they were coming. He knew for a fact that Raven had been hunting the Grimm longer than she had been before now. it had been something that made him chuckle despite his best efforts. He tilted his head to the side, curious as to what was to even happen and what to do about these beasts.

She slashed and sliced at the beasts with reckless abandon before realizing that she'd probably need to use her skills… The power that had been evident in her strikes was something that amazed him. She was powerful when it came to combat and he knew it to a larger degree than he had known before… She was far more powerful than she appeared and it hadn't been long before he wished to know how she was capable of this.

She opened her eyes and unleashed another torrent of flames from the palm of her hand, Beowolves burned and burst into ashes as she ran flames across them. Not a single one was spared the hellish torrent of combat that washed over them. It had been something terrible for them… But Raven did not care, she did not need to understand this.

This had been fun and she knew it. She had been a lot more focused the time being before now. this had to be ready for the time being. it had been a lot more to see and do next.

Raven reached down and gripped his hand as he stared at her. There was a blink before she suddenly flew away, curious for no real reason… She knew more than he what she was and why that had to matter as of the time being. it was something she'd explain later. Later whenever she decided to tell him what her real power was and that her little power spikes like this had been… Little to stop the monsters before now. It'd be something she wanted to end as of the time being and she knew more than anything else.

She tilted her head before she questioned before now. she was just nice and she seemed to tilt her head before now. She flew away and into the depths of the forest, dragging him with her. This had been something she had been something that had to be done if they were to survive.

Still? it had been something that neither could control or even slightly slow down for the time being. if he had even an ounce of control over it? He'd know what she was and what she could do if he took the restraints off her.

Still? There was at least a chance. She flew off and dragged Maize with her. It had been a while before now that this had been done and dusted for now… Whatever came next wouldn't be worse than what it had been now as of the second.

Maize blinked and was shattered at this. How many powers did she own? How many did she own despite now when this was done and dusted?

He only blinked to himself and looked around the room when this was all said and done for now. It had been an odd little thing before she seemed to shoot into the air, interested in what was below.

Maize looked at her with interest as he seemed to look at her with a raised eyebrow as he considered his options for the time being… Whatever had to happen next would happen, he could afford nothing else or allow it to come down to it at the end of the day. It had been a small little bump in the road he hadn't prepared for yet. One which he hadn't yet seemed to question or understand.

Maize and she flew through the forest as of the second. He had oh so little on the second as of now. He slowly landed in a clearing with her as of now. He had been unprepared for this as of now, Maize looked at Raven as her foot touched the floor when all of this was done and dusted.

He had been a lot more hopeful as of the question when this as of the second. She crossed her arms at him as she second when it was all dusted.

He had been a lot more curious about how she had done this than before. Wasn't exactly as the question when it came down to it.

Maize was still speechless and hummed and looked down before now. It had been a lot more if the moment when this came down to it. He hummed before now and looked at her. He had been only on this. It had been a lot more of an odd little thing to this.

She had been oh so focused on this when it came to it. He cleared his throat.

"You can damn well fly?" Maize questioned before she had been an odd little thing. "There's a lot you aren't telling me, yet you couldn't tell me you could just fly for now?" Maize asked to which Raven stated to himself.

She fell oh so silent for now. Raven glanced at her before he cleared his throat. She rested her helmet under her arm and started to look up into the sky. He raised his eyebrow and looked upwards.

Raven had been quiet for a few more seconds. It had been an interesting little as of now. What came next would be interesting for this. She rubbed at her temples before looking around the forest.

"Are you ok?" Raven said to which Maize seemed to tilt his head.

"Yes, just a lot more to handle this when it came down to it," Raven stated and sighed before she hummed and looked around before she tilted her head to the side.

Raven knew for a fact that she had been ready to handle as of the second when it was an odd little thing to handle when this was done as now.

Raven was a soldier to the end. This had been over with for now. It had been an odd little thing for now. She had been in that problem it was an odd thing for her… Yet she had been cooled on this before now.

Raven looked up into the sky and sighed before she seemed to question her options.

"What are you to do next?" Raven asked before she tilted her head as of now. "What are you to do before now if I hadn't? if I didn't fly? We'd be dead. I needed to fly. I didn't think you had to know yet because I didn't know if I could trust you." Raven said seeming to tilt her head.

Still? He felt her odd as of now. She tilted her head to the side. Raven was odd to question what was now.

"Are you ok?" Maize questioned while he seemed to tilt his head. "And I will be a lot more focused than I had been before now. I will not falter. I will not be at all prepared for less… I will make sure that I am prepared." Maize asked seemed to question what to do next.
