It was a stormy day in the ocean of Los Angeles, but stormy weather is no call to slack off from work for the best of seamen!
A large captain of a small ferry boat braved the stormy seas and his boat went up and down and up and down. He was the brave seaman known as Peter Murray, or as the boyos call him, Pete.
There was a crash on the deck, and in that moment, lightning struck the boat! The boat started to sink, but that was the least of Pete's concerns, because there on the deck in the half second burst of light he had seen a dead body!
===LATER===
John Phoenix's phone rang and he answered it.
"Johnny my name's Pete and I'm under arrest!"
John Phoenix decided to help. He went to meet Pete and he said he was innocent, so John Phoenix knocked the guard unconscious and released him from jail.
"Thanks a million boyo, but now we gotta solve the crime or they'll just chuck me behind bars again."
"Yes."
John Phoenix and Pete went to the beach and Detective Connor was there.
"That's INSPECTOR we're not in a crime drama."
John Phoenix set the story's genre to Crime and Drama to prove him wrong.
"Now Detective tell us why you arrested Pete."
"Okay he was alone on the boat and someone died on it also he's captaining without a driver's license."
"I do so have a license bucko!" said Pete and he showed Connor his license because Pete is a law-abiding citizen. Connor tore it up.
"Now you don't have a license get fucked."
John Phoenix had to go to court with no evidence because the boat sank.
"Don't ya fret lad you'll haul me outta trouble!" said Pete.
John Phoenix and Pete went to the courtroom.
"Court's in session for Pete's trial."
"Hoo hoo time for my revenge!" said Flynch. "Pete was on his boat when he murdered someone on it then he sunk it. We know it was him because no one else was on the boat!"
"OBJECTION!" shouted John Phoenix. "If noone was on the boat... then HOW DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE GOT MURDERED!"
"Because Pete told us himself!"
"WHAT!"
"When ya witness a murder ya do your civic duty and report it to da police," said Pete who is a responsible and law-abiding citizen. "I've been spreading that lesson for a hundred years, I have!"
But Flynch also had a witness and he called him to the stand, he was Harry Hatsworth AKA Harold Hardy.
"I was out at sea when I saw Pete's ferry boat pass by. Suddenly lightning flashed and I saw there was a corpse in the middle of the deck."
"OBJECTION!" shouted John Phoenix. "How could it have been in the middle of the deck... DURING A HEAVY STORM!"
"What are you saying!"
"I'm saying the corpse should have been thrown overboard it could not have stayed on the floor!" John Phoenix said. He was correct for thinking this.
"Is this at all allowed?!" said Harold (it is allowed). "The body would only have gotten thrown a meter at most!"
"Maybe you should get thrown a meter inta jail bucko!" said Pete.
"But John Phoenix why wasn't the body thrown off the ship?" said the judge.
"It must've been because it had just been thrown onto the deck and the only one who could do that was the only other man at sea HAROLD HARDY!"
"DO YOU KNOW WHO I AAAAAAAAAAAAAM!" cried Harold and he RAN AWAY!
"Thanks a million Johnny!" said Pete.
"It was no problem."
"I learned a valuable lesson today cause if I hadn't told the police what happened none ah this woulda happened! From now on when I witness a murder I won't tell the piggies jack shit!"
John Phoenix and Pete became friends.
Later on it turned out Dylan Fitchar was hiding in Harold's boat so it was actually him not Harry.
The End!
Pete is from The Return of Ryunosuke Naruhodo it's a great game you can find it on Court Records dot net!
