Chapter Three

After talking with Impa, Link spent most of the morning doing swordplay and target practice. Now that his training was done, he was just about ready to go meet with Zelda for their special date. However, before he did so, there was one thing that the hero had to take care of; Fishing for Hylian Bass.

Very recently, Zelda had wished she could eat a Hylian Bass while on a picnic. Since she and Link were going on a picnic date today, Link may as well go catch one. Luckily for the hero, a passing traveler had given him a wooden fishing rod complete with useful bait in the form of a water apple.

Before long, Link was sitting upon the bank of the river, holding the fishing rod with the line out in the water. It had been so long since the brave Hylian last went fishing, he could hardly remember when he last did so. Wow, why the heck did a one-hundred-year long sleep cause him to lose his memories?

Perhaps his amnesia was a test created by the Sheikah, but why would they test Link like that? Never in the history of Hyrule had anyone tested the Hero by taking away his memories. Hopefully it was a one-time only thing which would never happen again.

CREAK! The fishing rod shook and the line began quivering. Link held on to his pole very tightly, knowing that he'd just gotten a bite. Utilizing all of his strength, the brave hero started to crank the rod as fast as he could.

Link kept reeling and reeling until the line was out of the water and he'd pulled in his catch; a red-green Hylian Bass. 'Success.' Link thought, he grabbed his ice box and stuffed the squirming fish inside it so his catch could dry up.

But just as he was putting away his fishing equipment, the wielder of the Master Sword heard an attractive female voice call out and he rolled his eyes. Link knew that voice too well as it belonged to that crazy Zora fan girl; Zora Midna.

Nearly frustrated, the hero turned to watch the bikini-clad shapely pink-colored Zora girl step out of the lake and walk towards him, swaying her hips from side to side as her tan-pink skin and clean cream-colored bikini gleamed in the sunlight. "What in Hylia's name do you want, Midna?" Link growled, "I'm not in the mood to put up with you."

A smiling Midna knelt down and crawled towards Link on her hands and knees with a seductive smile. "Awww," She quipped with a smile and a flirtatious giggle, "Why have a princess like Zelda when you can always have me?"

"You're just as annoying as the Great Fairy. However, I didn't mind hanging out with a Zora girl like Mipha for a while until I became more attracted to Zelda."

"AW, COME ON, LINK!" Zora Midna protested, "You're so handsome and I'm way gorgeous compared to that royal blonde. Please give me a chance, you don't need to be with her. There's so many other girls in Hyrule including me."

Link thought over Midna's words as memories flashed through his mind; memories of past lives and women he'd been with. He could remember Malon and Telma, Twili Midna, Nabooru, Cremina and so many others whom Link had been around with.

"Tempting." The Hylian Hero retorted, "But Zelda is my number one. It's how things have played out for years, you can't change destiny. Besides, me and Zelda have always gotten together in every lifetime after saving Hyrule."

Instead of getting angry, Zora Midna just calmly crawled onto Link's lap, pushed him on his back and lay atop him while pressing her shapely body against his manly torso in the process. Midna licked her lips and seemingly gave the hero a seductive playful look that made him more uncomfortable.

"Not always." She said, "You once settled down with Malon of Lon-Lon Ranch. It shows that you're willing to let other women have your fine quality Link Steak that so many females in Hyrule love to taste so much."

"That was a different life. So very long ago."

"Oh, Link." Midna shook her head, "Why are you BEING SO DIFFICULT?!" She'd gone from calm to angry in just ten seconds. Midna spoke calmly with the first five words and then screamed the last three words in a very angered tone. Regardless, it still made Link more nervous than ever.

"Difficult?" Link replied sarcastically as he tried to push Midna off him, "You're just a sultry, annoying temptress trying to make me ditch the woman I love. Sorry, but only Zelda can have my quality meat and nourishing Lon-Lon Links."

Zora Midna leaned in and pressed her lips against Link's, claiming him in a seductive kiss as she snaked her arms around his neck despite his attempted resistance. Eventually, the hero slapped the shapely Zora girl across her firm butt cheeks and rolled over before pushing Midna off him.

Link picked up the ice box and gathered his fishing equipment. He checked to make sure he wasn't missing anything and ran off as Zora Midna sat up. Her face was filled with disappointment and her eyes were nearly full of tears. As she watched him leave, the pink Zora just smiled dreamily and lay down on her stomach.

'I will give him credit for being brave enough to resist me.' Zora Midna thought, 'But we'll see how long he can resist before Link caves in to my every suggestion. I can see us together; we'll be so happy. Oh, I love you until the end of time, Link.'

Atop the Dueling Peaks, Ghirahim materialized out of thin air. After spying on the happy citizens of Hyrule, he was chuckling with glee and satisfaction that he'd caused some mischief. "O' Master of Darkness, ancestor of Calamity Ganon. I summon thee!" Ghirahim proclaimed boldly and confidently.

The bright blue sky above glowed blood red and malice covered the landscape. A blinding flash of white lightning exploded and the transparent figure of the Demise's spirit appeared. Seconds later, the sky and the weather returned to normal quickly and the malice faded. "You dare to summon me in daylight?" Demise asked with a smirk.

"Oh yes, master. And I made a wise choice as the time of the Blood Moon is close." Ghirahim replied with a bow. As Hyrule and the rest of the world knew, the moon had been affected by dark powers in the aftermath of the Great Calamity and glowed blood red on certain nights in the years since Calamity Ganon's attack.

Eleven-thirty was when the Blood Moon's powers started to take effect as malice covered the world. Fifteen minutes after that, the air would start to feel cold and ten to five minutes until midnight was when the sky would glow red. Once the clock struck midnight, the Blood Moon's powers would revive those who served their dark master.

After Ganon was defeated, the Blood Moon rarely appeared. When it did, the red moon hardly resurrected any monsters. But with the latest Blood Moon coming, things were never going to be the same again. Demise drew his dark sword to examine it. Regardless of his ghostly appearance, his weapon still resembled a dark version of the Master Sword.

"Yes." The Demon King mused, "Once the Blood Moon rises high, I shall absorb its power and regain my lost powers..." The ancient overlord began to cackle, believing that tonight would be the beginning of the end for Hyrule. But little did he know that his arrogance and overconfidence would lead to his downfall once again.

Korok Chief Lorok stood at ease near the Master Sword's pedestal with his wooden staff in hand. For years, he'd been the Deku Tree's friend and co-leader of the Koroks. As chief, it was his duty to help ensure that his tribe was unified and nothing terrible happened to his race or the Great Deku Tree.

"Not-so Young Lorok!" The Great Deku Tree spoke, breaking the long silence in the forest, "Do you sense it? Can you feel the clouds of darkness coming? A great evil is returning after many centuries. An old enemy from an ancient past is rising from his grave."

"Yes, wise Deku Tree." Lorok replied, turning around to look upon the ancient talking tree, "I hear you and I do sense what you can sense. We are surely in for some dark and yet strange times for the world outside the forest..."
