"Hey!" Sam objected as Jack sat down beside her and stole a piece of her cake with a fork and quickly put it in his mouth.
"What?" He smiled while biting with a look of utter bliss.
"You're eating my cake."
"What's yours is mine?" Still smiling, he brought his fork back to her plate.
Sam slapped his hand "Get yours."
"You have the last piece."
"Don't look at me like that" she turned her head away from his dog's eyes "it's not fair to use that look of yours against me."
"Sam, you know you want to," he whispered in her ear, "you know you want to split up with me."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath "And how do you know what I want. Maybe I want to eat the whole piece myself."
"That'll be hard to do, because I've already stolen one bite from you, so your philosophy is meaningless. Therefore, you may as well share with me."
She didn't hold back and laughed "You really can use the situation to your advantage. Remind me why I love you at all?"
"It's obvious," he smiled, that smile of his that always made her belly tickle pleasantly "because I'm the best lov. . ."
She closed his mouth with a big piece of cake to keep him from finishing the sentence. After all, the entire SGC mess might not have known everything.
