Wilson walked House to the elevator, noticing how heavily his friend was limping. For House, it was pure agony, but he couldn't deny Wilson of anything, he loved him too much. The doors shut behind them and the M.D hit the alarm button. Confusedly Wilson stumbled over his words "What- What, why are we- why'd you do that?" House span around and started rubbing his thigh methodically. "I can't do this James" Wilson practically stumbled back, he wasn't expecting such an admission from the man. "Just smile through it, you know it could be so much worse, it's just your parents. You will be fine." He stepped towards the shaking man before being shoved away.

House felt like his emotions were invalidated, like it couldn't get worse because he had to face his abuser, he wasn't going to be okay. He was terrified but he had reached out and Wilson didn't care. "Yeah, ok." Feeling unsatisied and alone he slowly pressed the button. "uhm, Greg?" Wilson whispered before being met with a jarring "Wilson?" and a hunching of the shoulders. Sighing, it was dropped and the doors slid open.

They walked in a thick silence to the cafeteria, as House spotted his parents, he froze. All he really needed at that moment was for James, no, Wilson to reassure him but that wasn't an option so white knuckling his cane, he shakily walked to the table.

"Still walking with that cane are you Gregory? You know, your only issue is that your too self pitying." John House hissed in greeting. "Hello to you too dad." House lowered himself onto the chair, not without Wilson noticing his wincing as he lowered the weakened muscle. "It's a pleasure to meet you, you must be very proud of your son." Wilson smiled warmly while shaking both Blythes and Johns hand. Lunch ran smoothly but before House had the chance to order, his pager went off and he left without saying goodbye.
