Pain.

Dizziness.

Wait, why was he still alive?

Gill's eyes opened slightly, his head felt dizzy and he couldn't see well. The world felt as though it was on a swing, Gill couldn't think he could only remember the sounds:

'Snap his neck!'

'Gouge his eyes!'

'Kill him!'

'Maybe the dragonet of destiny don't have the guts to kill.'

He remembered sharp pain in his spine, he remembered the crack as he crashed onto the arena walls.

When did that happen? Where am I? Aren't I dead?

Now Gill could remember. He was put in a arena to fight a SeaWing, a young dragonet. She looked awfully like Coral, wait, Coral.

Coral! I have to get back to Coral, she needs my help on rolling the kingdom. Oh she must be so heartbroken, she must miss me so much. I wish she knew I was alright.

He suddenly stood up but fell down, his back exploding with burst of pain. He looked around again, he was lying in a pile of death bodies, some were charred while others were still fresh.

Wait, why didn't he feel thirsty, why didn't feel the longing to drink his own blood. Why do I feel different?

Gill looked down his green talons, he was lying in a puddle of blood. Then he realized there was blood trickling down his snout, I must have fell into this puddle and accidentally got a whole mouthful into my mouth. But...I tried drinking my blood before why didn't I feel alright before.

The SeaWing king looked around and spotted a stream nearby, some of the water was mixed with blood. Gill's mouth started to feel dry again and his head dizzy again.

So the exhausted green dragon crawled to the water ignoring the pain from his back, or the pain from his wings. He crawled toward the water.

Then he took his first sip of water, it tasted better than anything he could wish for. It made his insides feel actually good for once, without hesitating Gill dragged his drooping body into the shallows and gulped down mouthfuls of water. His wings relaxed and his spine felt better and for once his claws didn't ache. He felt normal.

He felt like Gill.
