Gill opened his eyes again. He could feel the sun on his scales, everything was blurry. He didn't know what was happening or where he was.

Slowly scents flowed into his nose: warmth, mud, dragons, and dry soil. He could also see that he was in a hut, a warm and cozy hut filled with food smell. He looked upwards and saw a slender MudWing eating a pheasant.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Swan. You?"

Gill looked shocked, this MudWing -Swan- didn't know his name. This was very odd. How would someone not know about the famous SeaWing king?

"I'm Gill." The SeaWing puffed out his chest, "King Gill."

Swan looked startled and dipped her head respectfully. "Sorry I didn't mean to insult you Gill."

Gill narrowed his green eyes, "It's okay..."

Swan didn't seem so reassured, "What were you doing there drowning? I had to my brothers scoop you out for me. I'm not a swimmer." She shrugged nervously.

"I... got smashed by boulders and then..." Gill didn't know how to answer, he curled his thick green tail around his talons, "I guess your brothers saved me."

Swan dipped her thin head and her wings drooped, "What where you doing? I mean why are you here? Oh, silly me I know you got captured by Scarlet right?"

Gill nodded slowly afraid if he just made himself look stupid and clumsy.

Swan's wings dropped more, "You're lucky you survived. I once had a sister, my only sister. She angered Scarlet and she got disemboweled and got hanged on the front door." Swan's amber eyes looked clouded, as Gill noticed all the regret radiating off her like sunlight from the sun.

"Oh," Gill felt awkward, "Well...it must have been horrible for you. And for her."

The MudWing nodded overcome by waves of old memories.

"Well, let's get you some food." Swan decided, "You look starving. Oh right, we'll also need to get those clamps off your wings."
