Gill sat miserably in his cell, gazing at the ceiling, feeling extremely miserable. That annoying puddle was growing bigger than ever, the drip dropping noise made his scales itch.

Gill was now almost sure he had spent more than three days in the dark, longing for the sea and coral. He missed the sea, he missed corals, he even missed their sons. Did Turtle know that he had forgiven him, will he ever know? Will I ever be able to go back? Back to the sea? Back to my life?

He lifted his talon, attempting to reach for the bars, but put his talons shakily down, the weight of his shackles were too great. He was alone in here, no other prisoners were to be seen, however, he could occasionally hear a few angry roars and sounds of guards flying to manage a angry prisoner.

Gill's throat crackled, he needed something liquid to drink or soak himself in. Gathering all the strength left in his shriveled body, he lunged forward, towards the puddle.

The chains held on tight, stopping him mid leap, throwing him hard onto the ground. His ribs ached with the pain, and his head spun, and he wanted to scream or lash out in pain. However he had no force to do so, he lay there, reaching out as far as he could.

Finally.

The tip of his claws touched a liquid substance, Gill's head leaped, brushing his claw on the muddy puddle, he retracted his talon, brushing the mud on the side of his face, his chest raising in happiness as the wet substance splattered against his crackled dry scales. He put them on his eyes, feeling relaxed for the first time in here.

Gill reached out again, this time standing up, determined to get more. He gritted his teeth as the chains tightened, finally, he managed to move himself forward around a footstep forward.

The SeaWing king slumped down, his talons smearing the mud, feeling instantly better, he dipped it onto his face and wrists. He laid down, talons submerged in the mud, and fell into deep sleep, that were for once peaceful.

~.~

Gill looked up, a bright burnt orange SkyWing stormed, in his talons was a dead pigeon. He stopped briefly at Gill's cage, without looking at the trapped SeaWing, and threw the pigeon at his face.

This my chance to ask him what s happening at the Sea Kingdom.

As the guard turned to stomp out of the dry, horribly dark dungeon, Gill called after him. "Hey! May I ask what is happening in the Sea Kingdom?"

The guard turned, his face was surprised, then it quickly snapped back to angry and bored, "I'm not supposed to tell, but you will hear about it after, when you return to the sea."

I'm going back to the sea?! "I'm going to the sea?"

"Depends if Ruby wants to trade you to the SeaWings or to Blaze." The guard shrugged, "We will surely get more prisoners back from Coral, but we don't need that, so we can try and persuade Blaze to give us more. She's a total nit-wit, it won't be hard."

No, don't do that. Panic rose in Gill's chest, no he can't, he had to go home, "please, I promise Coral will give you even more!"

The guard snorted, he turned completely and walked to face Gill's cell, he rattled the bars with one claw, his pale yellow gleaming with amusement. "How can you promise that? SeaWings are all the same, sloppy, arrogant, and liars."

All the panic in Gill's heart was replaced by a burning flare of anger, "don't you call us that." He hissed, his spikes rattling, and his claws dug into the mud.

The guard barked a laugh, "do you actually think I'll be intimidated by you?!" His face turned serious, and he stared at Gill intently.

"Sorry," Gill muttered, his anger still flaring, but he was determined to not let it show, "why don't you need your warriors back?"

The guard looked at the verge to tell him, struggling to find words, "because...we can...get them back...very soon." He looked as though he wanted to say more, but couldn't allow himself to.

Gill tilted his head, "you mean you are going to launch an assault?!" I have to warn Coral!

"No, I mean, maybe." He paused, tensing, "that's SkyWing business, keep your snout out of it." He seemed too snap back into his angry SkyWing self, his eyes glaring at Gill once again.

"No! You can't do that!" Gill hissed, shaking the bars furiously, "you don't know where the summer palace is! You can't! I won't let you!"

The guard barked a laugh again, his eyes gleaming with smugness, "who said we don't know, we are SkyWings, the most superior of all tribes. Now I suggest you stop angering the guards, or..." he flexed his talons, brandishing his claws at Gill's snout.

Gill watched in desperation as the guard stomped off, moments later the dungeon door was slammed shut. I have to tell Coral. I have to escape! I have to warn them! Maybe it's that SeaWing who fought me that told them where the summer palace is. No! I have to save them!

Or my entire tribe will die.
