NO YOU'RE NO FUN!

The pulse was electric. The night young, drinks hard, lights spun, and Ricky Harper shook in his Vans at the amount of extremely crass secrets hidden behind the doors of these parties. He and his brother Nicky had been accepted into the program under the impression the place was very strict but those two boys over there from England; Mick and Fabian, are having sex on a velvet recliner in the corner and this pretty boy named James Diamond is snorting some fresh white powder off of Lola Martinez' chest and girls aren't even supposed to be here.

The two boys shared a look and felt a pair of arms snake over their freshman shoulders. Freddie Benson, another member of their class, just as new to this as them, had the biggest, goofiest smile across his tan face.

Why did Ricky start thinking about the heavy meat that might be tangling between those boxers they all had to wear as a part of their silver and grey uniform. Fuck the pants. These button ups were constricting. Why are there sheets all over the floor? Is that weed in the air?

"We're expected." He said.

It was true. Senior Spenser Shae was supposed to give his big speech and smart little Ricky and Nicky prepared for this. Hazing, it's expected. This place is like a fraternity. The last three years of high-school was spent getting ready for anything they'd be thrown. Living as a set of quadruplets only gets worse as you get older. Trauma is a jacket you just can't seem to throw away because of the comfort it brings.

Nights tormenting one another enhanced their bond. They no longer feel the bearings of humiliation for the way they see it so long as they got each other there will be no judgement strong enough to knock either one of them down.

Why does Nikky want more than anything to kiss Ricky even though he knows it's wrong?

So eleven freshman make their way through the lounge area full of deep mauve and red furniture into the swirling lights set up in a breezeway that over looks the lake of lies running beneath them. People were tall, mysterious and so very curios. On they continued into a pool house where lights reflected off the water in spotlights illuminating eight individuals including Spencer. These must be the graduating class...

So the freshman lined up as they were instructed to do so by two juniors who were soon hereafter excused from the meeting. The door closes behind them. It locks. There's a cold chill that runs over Rikky's skin and that stupid song cycles back.

Why do you do it every time?

When all we wanna do is fly.

Nicky was the one who was most prepared in this scene. He knew all the upper stand ins. To the far right, Beck Oliver. Everyone says he's a Johnny Depp replacement. Hot, caramel colored skin, long thick luxurious curls, and supple pecks his on screen performances were candy for any gay boy and the rest of the world stupidly obsessed over his vague resemblance to the worlds favorite pirate. The two in the center were the shared valedictorians. One was Drake Parker Odysseus University's playboy and the other was Spencer.

Both Hyper intelligent. One sexy and devious the other crazy and dangerous.

Poor Ricky was caught in both their limelights. It's so rare a beautiful baby blonde boy with sapphire blue eyes proves themselves worthy enough for Odysseus. For the Greek Gods. For this program. It was in their culture that a creature like him be kept safe for testing in means that Olympus calls you for something and rare birds are to be protected.

Spencer slowly turned his head to look at his adversary with a look of warning but it was reciprocated with a challenge because Drake would do what ever it took. Not now. First things first. Introductions.

The song segways into Calabria by Strange fruits and Spencer and Drake step off to trail to either end of their width of the pool. They were doing a rundown of the freshman. Their steady paces fell in line and sounded like the hands on a clock that ticked away to something terrifying because Ricky made the stupid decision to be symmetrical and stand dead center. They both stopped before him and shared another look with one another.

Why was Ricky imagining them lifting him up and carrying him away to somewhere wet and sticky?

"Welcome!" Says Spencer, loudly to the entire freshman class.

To this Drake picks up, "We are your seniors. Your elites. You don't get to the Gods less it be through us."

Then Drake looked down at Ricky because Calabria was ending and now the song playing was saying,

I lu lu love it. I love it. I lu lu love it when you. I love it when you call me Papi.

And Ricky started thinking about calling Drake Papi. It was all very surreal but still he listened.

Spencer continued, "This first week sucks ass but take assurence in the fact that we all endure it. It's necessary that you bond with your brothers of your class year because here we are a team. We take reputation very seriously and we will not push the envelope further than we must. We've read each and every one of your files. We know exactly what you're capable of. This is not a frat house. We do not see your suffering as something enjoyable."

"Unless you ask us too." Drake added and Spencer eyed him really hard until Drake looked away from Ricky.

Spencer continues, "Being a chosen member of the Gods is a reward. Not a punishment. If you ever feel as though we have crossed a line nothing stops you from using your voice but just know that your weakness is not our responsibility. We know our rights and we expect you to know yours. The rest of the night is yours."

"Make alliances. Learn the playing field. You've arrived early to campus for a reason and it's not just to see the pretty botanical gardens. Before academia you need to solidify your spot in the eye of the Sun and the Moon. He is arrogant." Said Drake.

Spencer picks the torch of speech back up, "And she is detrimentally woeful. Do not disappoint them."

They step back into their spot lights and the pirate boy steps out.

Beck walks down the line doing a role-call of the names and asking a question of each individual and Freddie is looking at Ricky with Concern for the brief moment he finds to break concentration.

"Nicky Harper?" Says Beck.

Nicky looks up at him, "Yes, Mr. Oliver."

Beck tries to hide his blush but it's to no avail and he asks, "The first time Aphrodite fell from the mountain top who or what did she meet."

Nicky looked genuinely frightened and not because he didn't know the answer but because he did. It's a secret. So he responds, "The spider woman who created the universe and I can't tell you what they talked about because I like having my head on my shoulders."

Ice flooded the room and all eight seniors shared a glance of concern as a the torch lights in their gauntlets around the room flickered.

Beck Oliver chose not to address this and moved on, "Ricky Harper."

A pale mysticism washed over his freckle covered face and Ricky's eyes suddenly got heavy as he looked up into the eyes of someone who could be a friend one day and he responded in a way even he found peculiar, "By the light of the moon."

He caught another shared glance between Drake and Spencer before Beck continued, "The Greek Demi God Pan appears in your room and his instrument plays a song that embodies your soul. What song is he playing?"

Ricky thinks about this and says with a widening smile, "I can't not listen to it if I say it."

"Oh it'll play. The Gods interfere even when you think they're not watching." Says Spencer.

Then the song changes. The torches blow out completely and an ultraviolet pulse radiates from within the waters of the pool. Everything becomes a lustuous purple and that guitar base just kisses the room. The strumming picks up and Ricky can't help but dance,

Goddamn!

His button up just kind of falls off. Instead of a regular grey shirt, like he was supposed to wear, he's got on a tight little white tank top and he's so small Drake could pick him up with one hand. Something was happening but it was frightening.

You got me writin bout you. Every other song about you. Like a man mad.

You got me twisted round your finger when I really should have figured I'm damned.

You be lookin at me longer than we ever should have been doin.

Goddamnit! now I'm laying in your bedroom and it's three AM

Spencer looks down at his wrist at the fist tightly squeezing his circulation out. Drake was not okay.

Then Ricky is pulling his pants off and folding his clothes so neatly to hold them while the rest of the meeting continues saying, "That feels really freeing, actually."

Then Beck is moving on and the grip on Spencer's arm is being released. The rest of the senior class is thrown. All of this was incredibly bazaar. Who are the Harpers?

"Freddie Benson?" Oliver calls out.

Freddie, too is caught up on that preformance and looking at Ricky when he so confidently says, "In the heat of the moment."

"Eres calls you into battle what weapon do you bring?"

So thwarted he turns to look at his seniors and furrows a brow, "After tonight I'd have to say words. I didn't realize they could do such damage till now."

Those three freshman stand there in silence as the rest of the meeting continues seeing each other in a totally new light. How worrisome this whole thing suddenly feels. How Olympus can change everything in a four measure beat.

Then they're being dismissed, "Enjoy the party. Allow the night to prepare you for what's to come."

For Nicky and Ricky no amount of self affliction and drastic measures could have prepared them for this evening. Everything has changed and it's only going to keep changing. As they make their way back to the crowd they find that most of their new classmates have drifted away for the evening and the ones that remained were all settled into a chill vibe high on cannabis and subtle conversation. They were directed to the locations of their sleeping quarters and found out they'd be sleeping five, and six deep in two rooms side by side in the freshman tower.

Nicky, Ricky, and Freddy opted to room together and the others who were with them in that meeting didn't know weather to fear them or join them so the two that got stuck with them were very quiet. Rather there be less space than three weirdos who just shook the senior class to their core Ricky supposed. Nicky knew better. He saw it as respect and it's simply because the other two boys in here with them were a delicious looking pair of dark skinned boys. If they're dicks were big enough this was definitely a reward.

As Nicky and Freddy readied for bed Ricky spun on his heel to head for the door.

"Where are you going?" Asked Nicky.

His brother responded, "We only have tonight to get the layout of the field. I want to go suck on something and get lost in that garden for a while."

Nicky and Freddy stared at each other for a moment as Ricky left the room... then decided to join him. That other pair following closely behind. For what awaited in the castle University of Odysseus could not be put off till daylight.
