(This story takes place after the season four thanksgiving episode. This is also an alternate universe where Snart never died.)

Sara's always HATED Thanksgiving. It was just something about the fact that you needed to reserve a special day to be thankful for everything you have. When her family celebrated, they all got together for a big dinner. That's when chaos broke loose. Now here, we're talking about normal people. So imagine that chaos with a bunch of crazy legends.

There hasn't been one single Thanksgiving on the Waverider where someone hasn't started a food fight, got burned, or woke up on the floor the next morning.

By now, Sara has learned her lesson. She's been through this many times. However, some have not. She's ready for the worst. She kind of feels bad for the newbies, but at the same time, she can't wait to do the annual newcomer prank.

"So, what are we going to do this year?" Sara asked. "We need a plan."

She invited Ray, Snart, Zari, Nate and Mick to a secret meeting in the cargo bay. She hid away Charlie in Amaya's old room so Nate wouldn't see her.

"First, we need to look at WHO we're pranking." Snart pointed out.

"Let's see. That would be Ava, Gary and Constantine." Ray said, looking at a list of legends.

"So, what should we do?" Zari asked.

"We should light them on fire." Mick suggested.

Ray frowned. "You say that every year."

"Because we haven't done it yet."

"How about we turn them away at the door. They all seem so reluctant to be a legend so lets not give them the same privileges the legends do." Nate said.

Snart smirked. "Simple, but effective."

"All right then. If that's what we're gonna do, you guys should probably work on your acting skills to make this believable." Sara suggested. "Now that we have that sorted out, who's cooking this year?"

"Not Mick." Zari said with a frown.

Mick looked confused. "Why not?"

Snart looked at his partner. "We simply just don't want the kitchen on fire, this year."

"That was the best Thanksgiving ever and you all know it." Rory grunted.

"I'll cook." Ray said with that cheery smile he always gives. "I've always been quite good at it."

Sara rolled her eyes. "Of course you have. Looks like we have our cook for the year."

A few hours later.

To say Ava was mad would be an understatement. A BIG understatement.

"YOU INVITED US!" Ava's face started to get red from all the yelling. Gary was visibly nervous, fidgeting in place.

"We should probably just head back to The Bureau, Director Sharpe."

"Shut up, Gary." Ava snapped back at him.

"I'm sorry, but you need an invitation." Sara said calmly, despite the anger starting to fill the room.

As Constantine walked down the hall, he heard loud yelling and bickering. When Sara, Ava and Gary came into sight he decided he would stay out of whatever was going on.

He squeezed by them through the door and was greeted by Mick Rory blocking his path. When he tried to move past him, Leonard Snart stood in front of him this time.

"Get out." Rory grunted.

Constantine eyed the pair. "Why? I thought there was a Legends Thanksgiving dinner."

Snart nodded. "Yeah. A Legends Thanksgiving dinner. From what I recall, you are not a legend."

Constantine nodded. "Yeah. So?"

Mick pointed at the door. "Legends only. Out."

"What are you, five?" John scoffed before he walked towards the door, which he paused at.

"Give it up, Sharpie. This is a legend-only thing."

Sara waved at them as they walked away. "Bye!"

Ray walked up to the door.

"Hey, wait up!" He yelled down the hall. "Come back!"

Ava rolled her eyes as the three turned around to come back.

"What do you want?" She asked as they neared closer.

"We just wanted to tell you something." Ray said, nudging Sara to tell them it was a prank.

She just laughed. "Have fun at your own little Thanksgiving dinner, losers!"

Ray frowned. "No! She's kidding. It was a prank."

Gary sighed in relief as he ran in to say hello to everyone. Ava's expression softened a little and went in after Gary. John just stood there glaring at the two. He then shook his head and went in after a moment.

Sara paused for a moment. "Wait, if you're here, who's watching the oven?"

Ray stopped in his tracks when he heard Mick yell, "BURN, BIRD!"

They ran back in there to see everyone holding back Mick from setting the kitchen on fire. Again.

After they put out that fire (pun intended), another one started after Nate spotted..."AMAYA!"

Zari looked at Sara. "I thought you locked her in Amaya's old room!"

"I thought so, too." Sara shook her head as she, Zari and Ray ran after him.

Charlie peeled away Nate's arms from around her. "Who the hell are you?"

"Nate! It's not Amaya!" Ray said as he ran into the room, followed by Zari and Sara.

Nate frowned. "What do you mean it's not Amaya?"

"I'm a shapeshifter, idiot." Charlie scoffed. "Your little warlock trapped me in this body, so I can't change even if I wanted to."

Nate's frown grew even bigger, but then his expression turned to anger as he turned to Constantine, who was just entering the room.

"You trapped her in Amaya's body! Out of all people!"

Sara tried to defend his actions. "Well, it was really fast and we didn't have much of a choice."

Nate turned to her. "And you! You let her stay! She's supposed to go to hell!"

Zari cut in. "Nate, she isn't a monster! She helped us with a mission! Not giving her a chance would make us the monsters. If she was wearing the face of anyone else, we wouldn't be having this conversation!"

Nate scoffed. "So you're telling me I should just forget about the fact this random shapeshifter looks exactly like my ex-girlfriend."

Zari sighed. "Nate, it's Thanksgiving. Today is a day to be thankful for what you have, not what you've lost. Amaya's gone and we all miss her, but can you please just forget about who Charlie looks like and find out who she is?"

Nate frowned. "I'm sorry, but it's just so soon."

Sara decided to try a different approach. "Six months ago, I met my dead sister's evil earth-2 doppelganger the same day I found out my dad died. I wasn't ready for that, but to be with him and say goodbye, I needed to forget about her just for a couple of hours. So, all we're asking is you forget about Charlie and Amaya for a couple of hours, and be with us for a crazy Thanksgiving dinner with your friends."

Ray took a step toward Nate. "Please. Thanksgiving won't be the same without you."

Nate looked at Ray, and then everyone surrounding the room. "Who's watching the oven?"

Mick then smirked as Snart threw him a glare. Then they were off in a hurry. Soon everyone followed, including Nate.

Zari smiled. "So, I take it this means you're staying, Nate?"

Nate smiled with her. "You guys are right. I can't let something that's out of my control make me miss out on having fun and making new memories with you guys." Then he turned to Charlie and extended his hand. "I believe we got off on the wrong foot. My name is Nate Heywood. It's nice to meet you."

She stared at him. "Charlie."

Nate still stood there with his arm extended, but Charlie didn't take it yet.

"Charlie...?" He led, hoping for a last name.

"Just Charlie." She said as she moved past him. "Now, where's the liquor?"

Nate put his arm back down and repeated to himself, "Just Charlie. Okay..."

After dinner was cooked without any more problems, Sara was just starting to get confident that the rest of the night might be fine...

...Until they set the table.

"YOU IDIOT!" Zari yelled back at Mick, as Sara and Nate rushed her to the medbay. Ray wanted to come, but they needed someone to babysit the rest of the legends.

"Go easy on him." Sara said. "It was an accident."

Zari was furious. "GO EASY ON HIM!? I HAVE A FORK STUCK IN MY EYE, SARA!"

Nate nodded as they helped sit her down. "Yeah, we can see that."

Zari glared at him, and he's still not sure how that was possible with a fork in the eye.

While she was distracted, Sara quickly pulled the fork out and Zari put her hand to her eye as she practically wailed in pain. "God, Sara. Give a girl a warning next time you decide to pull a FORK OUT OF SOMEONE'S EYE!"

Sara put the fork down on a tray. "Well, let's hope I don't need to do that again any time soon."

"You will after I get my hands on Mick." Zari mumbled.

Sara eyed the fork and handed the tray to Nate. "Wash this. Very well." When Nate left, Sara turned back to Zari. "I'm gonna need you to take your hand away from your eye."

Zari paused for a moment, but eventually pulled her hand away. Even Sara winced at the sight.

"Gideon, can you fix it?" Sara asked.

"Yes, Captain Lance. Ms. Tomaz and her eyesight should be perfectly fine after a couple of hours."

Zari sighed as Sara walked to the door. "Does that mean I'm gonna miss dinner?"

Sara smiled. "Don't worry, I'll bring you some."

Finally, the table was set, dinner was ready, Sara grabbed a plate and dropped it off to Zari, everyone was seated, and they were ready to eat.

Ava smiled as she placed a napkin on her lap. "So, should we go around the table and say what we're thankful for?"

Gary perked up. "That's a great idea! I'll start! I'm thankful only one of my nipples was bitten off."

The table went silent until Ray cleared his throat. "I'm thankful for you guys. It's been a wild four years travelling through time, and I'm ready for many more."

"I'm thankful I'm even here tonight." Ava said.

Constantine went next. "I'm thankful for ties. The best idea anyone's ever had."

"I'm thankful for my time bro!" Nate said.

Gary smiled. "Me?"

"No, Ray."

Ray was the one smiling now. "Well, I'm thankful for my time bro, too!"

"All right, that's enough feelings." Mick said. "I'm thankful for fire."

Snart, who was sitting beside him, rolled his eyes. "Of course you are. I'm thankful the kitchen isn't in flames right now."

Sara sighed. "The night is still young. I'm thankful that I've had the pleasure to captain this ship and work with you guys. It's been a crazy ride, and we've lost just as much as we've gained, but I am proud to call myself a legend."

Nate smiled. "I'll toast to that!"

Charlie then emerged from the shadows. (Don't ask why that sounded so creepy) "And I'm glad you guys didn't kill me."

Overall, dinner was great and so was the night. After Zari joined back, they prank called team arrow and flash, played truth or dare, and by the end of the night, Charlie was sleeping on the floor surrounded by empty bottles that used to contain alcohol, Gary and Ava left for some emergency at The Time Bureau, Constantine also fell asleep on the floor, Nate and Ray were asleep, leaning against each other, and Zari fell asleep in a chair. The last three standing were Mick, Sara, and Snart, which was no surprise.

They eventually fell asleep beside each other. Mick was on the right, with an empty beer bottle sitting loosely in his hand, Sara was in the middle, and Snart was on the left. There were cards spread out around the trio, mostly on the left side, (Mick's not big on cards) and there were LOTS of empty liquor bottles around the room.

A couple of hours after team flash got prank called, Cisco decided to breach to the Waverider to be greeted by this scene. "Now this..." He got his phone out and snapped a photo. "...I'm framing."
