On Today's Episode: The spies continue to pursue James and Myrna to retrieve the stolen gadgets, but James begins to sink to some rather impressive lows in order to assert his "dominance", including attempting to seriously injure Mat with some of the stolen gadgets. Can the spies keep James from going too far, and can they defeat this troublesome twosome before things gets too crazy?
Act 2: One Problem After Another
6:21 P.M. – Beverly Hills
Shopping District
"Okay, seriously, where the heck is that dumb poser?" Alex asked as the spies continued their search for James and Myrna.
"Just follow the obvious, easy-to-read thoughts," Nick quipped as he continued to track down the villains with his psychic radar.
"On that note, is anyone concerned about that rumble from earlier?" May wondered. "I know it only lasted a couple seconds, but those kinds of things are still rare around here, right?"
"I'll call Jerry and have him investigate," Sam replied, though just as she began to open her X-Powder, she stumbled when she noticed a glowing portal of light that had just appeared in front of her. "Wait, what the heck is this?"
"Hey, it's a Genesis Portal," Nozomi gasped.
"Oh, I'm about to be sick all over again," Sam groaned when she got a good look inside the portal and saw what appeared to be herself and James together, with no Mat in sight. "That's a reality that I don't want any part of."
"I'll call Irida, then," Britney quipped.
"That won't be a problem," Irida proclaimed as she glided down towards the spies via a Padded Shoulder Portable Parasail. "Jerry and RiCO called me to deal with another portal that popped up here in Beverly Hills earlier today, so that's why I'm in the neighborhood."
Irida raised her hands, which were now glowing with a bright silver light, aimed them towards the Genesis Portal, and slowly brought her hands together, this motion closing the Genesis Portal completely.
"I'm still wondering why Genesis Portals are still showing up," Mat quipped.
"An aftereffect of the Super Genesis Wave, maybe?" Dawn wondered.
"Here's hoping we can get some answers soon," Nick stated. "In the meantime, Irida, why don't you join us in stomping some villains?"
"Yeah, I think I'll do that," Irida chuckled.
Thankfully, it didn't take too long to find James and Myrna.
"Hey, assholes, you lost?" Nick taunted. "Allow me to direct you to the containment facility so you won't get lost."
"Oh, very funny, little man," James shot back.
"Oof, this guy looks like a major creep," Irida quipped.
"One of the creepiest," Sam agreed. "Now let's commence with the beatdowns before he tries anything else."
"Is there anything new I should know, at least?" Irida wondered.
"Besides that Sam used to date James..." Clover remarked.
Sam immediately beheld her engagement ring to Irida to show that Mat had proposed to her.
"Oh, you proposed to her?" Irida gasped. "Congratulations, Mat!"
"I'd been wanting to do that for quite a while," Mat laughed.
"I can imagine," Irida giggled.
"I can only imagine what Mumei's reaction would be," Nick quipped.
Alex and Clover then went on with Sam chiming in on occasion on how James drew a wedge between them.
"Definite piece of crap there," Irida commented.
"Believe us when we say that Myrna Beesbottom is the nightmare," Alex chastised.
"Talking about me is flattering usually," Myrna commented. "But not in this capacity!"
"Believe us when we say that you're better off in a senior care home!" Mat chastised, firing a Laser Chapstick at her.
Myrna immediately answered back by firing her shuriken at Mat AND the other spies for that matter.
"That's not flying today or any other day!" Sam proclaimed and used her Boomerang Buzzsaw Barrette.
Blaine got in the spirit himself with an attack of his own. Clover saw what Blaine was doing and got in the spirit as well.
"Oh, please, what are you going to do?" James cackled.
Clover quickly showed him exactly what by jumping over James and kicking him in the back of the head, sending him stumbling towards Blaine so he could leg sweep James off of his feet.
"Now it's my turn," Britney proclaimed, using the Sapphire Hologram Pendant.
She made four copies of herself and charged after the two villains.
The four Britneys attacked them easily, and as Myrna and James tried to retaliate, all they got were misses as two of the Britney copies disappeared.
"CHECKMATE!" Haruka shouted as she fired the Wind Tunnel 9000 at them both.
James managed to dodge the wind blast, but it only left him open to getting floored by Nick's Final Shine Attack.
"Keep your eye on the birdie," Nick quipped.
"What was that?" James growled, only to have to jump backwards to dodge May and her anchor.
"Stand still, you punks!" May shouted.
With that, Myrna and James retreated once again.
"This isn't over yet!" James proclaimed.
"After them!" Nick chastised.
"Is there anything I should know about this Myrna character?" Irida wondered.
The spies then told Irida how Myrna was first heard of to them. To say that Irida was stunned that Jerry was responsible for hiring her as a nanny to Sam, Clover, and Alex was an understatement.
"I don't blame you – you're not little kids, after all," Irida commented. "Maybe you should've given him a whack to the head for peace of mind in the first place after the fact."
After some more of the chase endured, Nick could see them ahead and saw an opportunity to use his psychic powers to trap James and Myrna.
"Time to screw ya again!" Nick sneered as he fired his psychic powers to form an invisible wall for James and Myrna to crash into.
"That did it!" Bridget proclaimed.
"Now, is it the Containment Facility or do we have to rough ya up...?" Nick proclaimed.
"Well, I NEVER!" Myrna proclaimed. "I have NEVER heard such unruliness from little punks like you!"
"That 'unruly' crap is starting to GET OLD, YA KNOW!" Clover shouted.
"And if you wanna talk 'unruly,' look at the rest of our rogues' gallery," Melissa added.
"I don't ever want to be called 'unruly' again myself!" Dawn chastised.
"Oh, really?!" Myrna shot back. "You ALL are being unruly with what you're doing now..."
"All right, now you're starting to piss me off," Nick proclaimed. "I don't know why you think you still have the right to call yourself our nanny after everything you've done, but it's really getting old!"
"Nanny for life," Myrna quipped. "That's how it will always be."
Myrna attempted to charge towards the spies and bowl them over, only for Sortiliena to come flying in and plant her foot right in Myrna's face, causing the nanny to tumble backwards.
"I heard that someone from the LAMOS was in town," Sortiliena quipped. "So, naturally, that means I come a-callin'!"
"Right on time, Liena," May laughed.
Sortiliena glanced at James, having not met him before. "And who, exactly, is this creep?" Sortiliena wondered. "He definitely looks the part."
"That would be my traitor of an ex-boyfriend," Sam proclaimed, emphasizing certain words to get a rise out of James. "He's part of this scheme because he's salty that I'm officially off the market for good."
"Wait, 'off the market'?" Sortiliena asked, only now noticing the ring on Sam's finger. "Holy crapbaskets, Mat proposed to you?!"
"Yup, and it was magical," Sam giggled. "You should have seen me at dinner that night, Sortiliena, I couldn't stop crying happy tears..."
"WILL YOU BASTARDS STOP IGNORING ME?!" James screamed.
"Oh, what, you're still salty that you'll never understand what true love is, you nutball?!" Alex exclaimed.
"Just give it up and make it easy on yourselves!" Nozomi shouted.
"You'll have to catch me first!" James laughed as he used a stolen Jetpack Backpack to fly around in the air.
In response, Nick began firing psychic bolts one after another from both of his hands, although none of them seemed to be on target.
"Um, I'm not even dodging," James cackled. "Seriously, are you even trying to hit me?"
"No," Nick quipped.
"The hell do you mean 'no'?" James wondered, only to gasp in shock when he realized something.
All of the psychic bolts that Nick had fired were now surrounding him.
"Should have kept your eye on the birdie," Nick chuckled as he clapped his hands together, and all of the psychic bolts he'd fired converged on James at once, flooring him instantly.
Myrna jumped through the air to try and crush the spies, but to everyone's surprise, Sortiliena ran under Myrna and lifted her palms up to actually catch Myrna in mid-jump before tossing her to the side.
"Use momentum against your opponents," Sortiliena giggled. "One of the many things I've taught in combat classes."
"One of the defining aspects of karate," Nozomi laughed, remembering those middle-school lessons well.
"All right, that's about it," Myrna growled. "I'm through playing around with you unruly wretches."
"Yeah, yeah, they say that every time," Mat proclaimed as he prepared to charge in and attack. "What makes you think this one's going to be any different?!"
The answer to that came when Myrna whipped out a bottle of Immobilizing Stun-Tan Lotion and blasted Mat with it, freezing him in his spot.
Before Nick or anyone else could move in to defend the stunned Mat, Myrna fired a Wind Tunnel 9000 to keep them all away as James sauntered closer to Mat.
"Well, well, look at you now," James chuckled. "So much for all of that bravado you had going on."
James then equipped a Metal Masher Boxing Glove and punched Mat in the shoulder with it, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Where's all your cockiness now?!" James laughed as he walked up to the downed Mat and started kicking him in the side. "Where's that spunk you used to have?! This is what you deserve for getting in my way!"
After one last kick, James turned towards Sam, who now looked like she was ready to actively murder something.
"This is the end of the line, Sam! You're going to be my bride whether you want to or not, and that's final, because I said so!" James cackled as he charged towards Sam.
All of a sudden, Nick placed himself in front of Sam, his psychic aura flaring dangerously, and slammed his hand into the ground, causing a powerful tremor to rock the surrounding area and create a small upheaval underneath James that sent him tumbling to his knees before he could reach Sam.
"You have absolutely no idea what you just stepped in, you son of a bitch," Nick snarled. "Your casual misogyny and refusal to leave Sam alone is bad enough, but what you just did to Mat officially cemented yourself as an irredeemable monster."
James quickly picked himself up and tried to leap over Nick to attack Sam again, only to be caught in mid-jump by Nick's psychic hold.
"And I reserve that title for very few members of our rogues' gallery," Nick proclaimed. "But consider yourself part of that list now, you sexist shitwheel!"
Nick brought his hands down to slam James into the ground. Thankfully, he and Myrna both decided that a tactical retreat was the best option at the moment (mostly because James didn't want Nick to get any more violent) and headed off.
"Mat, are you all right?!" Sam exclaimed as she rushed over to Mat to check on him.
"Ugh... I can't believe that son of a bitch hit me with that thing," Mat groaned, holding his shoulder in the spot where James had hit him with the Metal Masher Boxing Glove. "I sincerely hope my shoulder's not busted..."
Nick jogged over and used his psychic power to check on Mat's injury. "It looks like it's only fractured in one place and not completely broken," Nick quipped. "You got lucky again, bro."
"Despite that, I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna be in any good condition to fight that asshole right now," Mat sighed. "He got me good..."
"Hey, blame Myrna for that one," Melissa replied as she hugged Mat, taking care not to touch his injured shoulder. "If she hadn't cheated with the Stun-Tan Lotion, James wouldn't have had a leg to stand on."
"And I swear to you, Mat, we're going to bust his legs by the time we're done with him," Britney responded.
"I'll take him back to headquarters," Irida proclaimed as she picked up Mat. "You all just go find those two and shove your boots all the way up their keesters."
"Hey, Mat, I'll tag in for you while you're recovering, okay?" Sortiliena stated. "It's the least I can do for ya."
"Make sure you sock him one for me, okay?" Mat asked.
"Oh, we're gonna sock that creep multiple times," Sortiliena quipped.
With that, Irida headed towards W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters so they could tend to the injured Mat, while the rest of the spies, with Sortiliena in tow, set out to find James and Myrna and give them the beatdowns they deserved.
"He has a lot of nerve resorting to these measures," Irida told Mat.
"Tell me about it," Mat groaned. "Hearing Myrna call us 'unruly' also leaves a sour taste in my mouth."
Irida threw in a 9-1-1 call to Jerry to inform him of the new circumstances.
"Oh, dear!" Jerry chastised. "The W.O.O.H.P. medical team is already being assembled now!"
8:02 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters
Jerry and RiCO were already ready for Irida when she showed up with the wounded Mat.
"What happened?" Jerry wondered.
"Nick thinks James fractured Mat's shoulder," Irida told them.
Mat still had his arm tucked in to reduce the pain.
"How're you coming with the microchip Britney found?" Mat asked before the W.O.O.H.P. Medical Team came to assist him.
"We're going to contact them now," RiCO answered as the medical team transported Mat to safety to look at his shoulder.
8:19 P.M. – Beverly Hills
Shopping District
"Where could those douches have gotten to?" Clover wondered.
"They don't know how many lines they've crossed," Nick added. "Especially James!"
"Just when I thought he'd buried the hatchet with me after the last time..." Sam chastised, still worried about Mat.
"It was a shoulder, so I don't think Mat has to worry about... that," Haruka deduced. "I've hurt a few shoulders myself, I should know."
"You'd think your dad would disapprove of this, too," Nozomi told Sam, especially since fathers were known to not be too fond of these predicaments.
"We didn't have to worry about that because our dads liked Nick and Mat," Alex pointed out.
"Fortunately for us, anyway," Sam added.
That's when Sam's X-Powder chirped and Jerry's visage popped up upon Sam answering the call.
"Hello, spies," Jerry greeted.
"What've you got, Jer?" Clover wondered.
"We've analyzed the microchip Britney found," RiCO quipped.
"Well, come on, out with it..." Melissa urged.
"The chip appears to be from a computer console, and it has some very interesting data on it, no doubt from whatever secret scheme James and Myrna have up their sleeves," RiCO answered.
"Thanks, Jer," Britney quipped.
"What about Mat?" Sam wondered, showing grave concern for her new fiancée.
At that moment, Jerry was given a sheet of paper that likely contained the medical report on Mat.
"As for Mat, thankfully, the part of his shoulder that James struck is only fractured and not broken," Jerry explained. "Once again, he got lucky."
"Hurry and find them, guys," RiCO told them.
"No need to tell us twice," Dawn remarked.
With that, they ended the call.
"We better find James and Myrna and see to it that Sam and Mat live happily ever after!" Sortiliena emphasized. "Along with Nick and Alex, of course!" she added to not forget them.
The spies moved forward as May got her trusty anchor prepped.
"If there's one thing I can't stand about love, it's people who resort to THIS!" May growled, knowing she fell for Nick early on.
The spies continued moving forward until they did find Myrna Beesbottom.
"Found her!" Dawn proclaimed.
Sam immediately dashed forward with full intentions to harm Myrna.
"Still acting out, I see," Myrna laughed until Sam actually sent her flying with a forward thrust kick.
"You lost the right to act cocky after what you and James did," Sam snarled. "So how about you just cut the shit and take your lumps already?!"
"And trust me, when Sam, of all people, starts swearing, that's a sign that you pissed her off," Nick quipped as he knocked Myrna back with a psychic pulse. "And that's a big no-no when it comes to us."
"What about James?" Blaine wondered.
Irida hadn't returned yet, which certainly caught Nick's attention. He then decided to contact Irida.
"Irida, where are you?" Nick wondered.
"Nick, am I glad you called," Irida chastised. "James somehow broke past W.O.O.H.P. security and I'm barely holding him off at the moment!"
"I hope you like our dastardly plan," Myrna sneered.
"...you didn't," Nozomi growled.
"You know, while you waste time bantering with me, James is likely about to mess up the Hawaiian dish's day even worse," Myrna laughed. "Every second you spend here only gives James more time to possibly do... unspeakable things."
"Can you girls handle Myrna?" Nick proclaimed.
"Oh, we can more than handle this tub o' lard," May quipped, relishing the annoyed look on Myrna's face.
"Good," Nick replied, his psychic aura flaring to life around him. "I'm gonna go after him."
With that, Nick rose into the air and took off as fast as he could for W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters, leaving the rest of the spies to deal with Myrna.
May was the first to step up, swinging her anchor to force her to step back.
"Yeah, that's right, you'd better be scared of the almighty anchor!" May shouted. "I oughta clock you one just for what you and James did to Mat."
"Then why aren't you?" Myrna taunted, failing to notice Sortiliena slipping behind her until it was too late. This gave Sortiliena the time to leg sweep Myrna off of her feet before grabbing the nanny and powerslamming her into the ground.
"Because I didn't get my chance to clock you yet," Sortiliena taunted.
While the battle raged on, Sam would occasionally glance towards W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters in the distance.
Please, Nick... please keep my hubby safe... Sam thought.
8:36 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters
"For the last time, buzz off, you creep!" Irida shouted as she continued to fight off James as best she could.
"And what are you going to do if I don't listen?" James laughed as he lunged forward with a flying kick, one that Irida easily dodged, though it gave James time to bolt off in the opposite direction. "I have an appointment with a little unruly Hawaiian man right now, so if you'd be so kind as to not follow me..."
James fired a stolen Laser Lipstick towards Irida to keep her at bay as he dashed off, running through the winding hallways until he found what appeared to be the medical bay where Mat was most likely being treated.
"So sorry, boy, but Sam is mine," James proclaimed as he prepared to bust in, only to be surrounded by a golden glow and tossed unceremoniously down the hallway. "W-what the hell?! Who dares..."
"Hey, asshole."
James turned around slowly to see Nick aiming his glowing right hand towards him.
"Did you miss me?" Nick quipped as he fired a Final Shine Attack into James's chest, sending him tumbling.
"Can you just not interfere for once in your life?!" James shouted as he picked himself back up. "I don't know what I have to do to get you off my back!"
"Maybe stop trying to hurt my friends?" Nick quipped. "And also maybe stop treating Sam like she's just your plaything? I don't know what in your fragile, over-masculine peanut brain makes you think you're still entitled to Sam, especially after everything you've done to her and, by extension, us! You wanna explain that before I pound your face into mashed potatoes?!"
"It's like I said a while ago," James cackled. "Once my girl, always my girl. Now let me through so I can mess up that little Hawaiian dish some more."
"Out of the question!" Nick bellowed, his aura pulsing dangerously. "I'm going to drill this into your head no matter what I've gotta do, James, but Sam is never coming back to you, and that is the end of that story!"
James laughed evilly as he charged Nick down, only for Nick to easily sidestep the attack. However, as James seemingly "stumbled" from the miss, he pulled a knife out from his pocket when he thought Nick wasn't looking.
"Sorry, but Sam is part of my story, no matter what you think," James laughed as he swiped the knife towards Nick, only for him to snatch it out of mid-swing and toss it into the opposite wall.
"Nice try, jackass, but that's not going to work on me," Nick quipped. "Your tactics are way too amateurish for a psychic like me."
Not waiting for a retort, Nick psychically smashed James into the ground before encasing him in a psychic bubble.
"So sorry, but you lose," Nick taunted. "And if you ever show your face around us again, I'm most likely going to do more than just toss you around."
Nick flipped his X-Powder open to contact the rest of the team. "Everyone, I got 'em," Nick quipped. "James is all bubbled up and ready for containment."
"Thank god, says this observer!" Britney exclaimed.
"We've got Myrna on the ropes right now," May stated.
"Oh, is that so?" Myrna laughed as Nick watched her dodge another anchor swing from May. "You haven't seen my trump card in action yet. And, James, I know you're listening, so I hope you enjoy prison again."
"W-Wait, you're double-crossing me?!" James gasped.
"Why do you think I sent you all by yourself to W.O.O.H.P.?" Myrna cackled. "I have my own plans for these wretches, after all. You were just the perfect patsy."
"You little punk!" James growled, trying to beat down his bubble prison to no avail.
"I believe the punk is you, James," Myrna laughed.
A couple W.O.O.H.P. agents showed up to take the bubbled James back to the containment facility, as did Irida.
"Welp, I guess I didn't need to worry, did I?" Irida chuckled.
"Nope," Nick laughed. "Even worse for James, it turns out that Myrna sent him here to attack W.O.O.H.P. just to get him out of her way."
"Oof, a double-cross, huh?" Irida replied.
"Couldn't have happened to a better jerk, honestly," Nick quipped. "Now come on, let's go help the others with our other villain problem."
"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!" James shouted from the bubble, but the W.O.O.H.P. agents didn't listen.
"Sam's crazy ex?" Irida wondered.
"Try cuckoo," Nick quipped.
With that, Irida and Nick ran to catch up with the rest of the spies.
9:00 P.M. – Beverly Hills
Shopping District
"Stand still, you little brats!" Myrna exclaimed as she barreled forward to scatter the spies, only for Sortiliena to knock her back with a palm strike to the chest, followed by Sortiliena jumping forward and leg sweeping Myrna off her feet.
"How about you make us?" Sortiliena chuckled.
Myrna rolled across the ground before jumping back to her feet and throwing a barrage of shurikens towards Sortiliena, but May moved closer and spun her anchor around in her hands to deflect the shurikens.
"And maybe get a new ninja act that isn't the same ol' shtick?" May taunted.
"We've had it with you calling us 'unruly'!" Haruka chastised.
"You don't accept the facts when you look at all you've done..." Myrna reasoned.
"And why should we believe you after all the things you and the L.A.M.O.S. did?!" Sortiliena shot back.
"And after everything you and James did," Sam added. "You're NOT ENTITLED TO AN ANSWER!"
Sam wasted absolutely no time in running towards Myrna and cartwheel-kicking her in the face, followed by pouncing on Myrna and actually blatantly punching Myrna in the face a few times.
"That's for what your patsy did to Mat," Sam growled before bending down and actually picking Myrna up. "And this is for everything else you've done!"
Sam tossed Myrna into the nearby bushes, much to the applause of the other spies.
"How's that feel?!" Bridget proclaimed. "Someone over five times younger than you is finally giving you what you deserve!"
Alex and Clover joined in the fray.
"And we did not deserve a nanny from day one!" Alex added.
"And if you had a REAL form of common sense," Clover proclaimed. "You would be where Mat said you belong... A SENIOR CARE HOME!" she continued, using Mat's words.
Myrna didn't like hearing that and used her shuriken to try to get the spies to hesitate.
"Not today, Myrna!" Nick proclaimed as he used several psychic shots to stop them.
"It's Nick and Irida!" Blaine shouted when everybody saw them.
"You all hardly play fair if you're going to gang up on the elderly," Myrna sneered, trying to play that card.
Sam, Britney, and Melissa all used Laser Lipsticks to shoot up Myrna.
"That's not gonna fly with us when you look at your rap sheet..." Britney retorted.
"You're a VILLAIN, for crying out loud!" Melissa chastised. "You DON'T DESERVE one freakin' iota of leeway!"
"And to cement that, how about you take a seat in a wheelchair?!" May proclaimed and hurled her anchor at Myrna again.
This time, she aimed for Myrna's knees, but Myrna jumped and fully missed. She was about to taunt May back, but May's anchor came back around and whacked her in the back, sending her flat on her stomach.
"Rules for villains, number eighty-five," May added. "Don't celebrate the little victories too soon."
"That's a good one," Dawn commented.
"My turn now!" Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"
Myrna naturally tried to throw more ninja stars at Bridget, but she had already sped off and started dashing around Myrna. After a few rotations around the nanny, Bridget blitzed forward and sent Myrna careening backwards with a Sonic Mode-enhanced double palm strike.
Sam moved in for another attack, but Myrna managed to trip her up, and got her heart rate up with a smash on the ground using a stolen Heavy Hand Smash All Glove. (A/N: Think S5's WOOHP-tastic.)
"Renounce your love for that dish and I might retract calling you unruly and defiant..." Myrna demanded.
"Is your brain defective?" Sam shot back. "Your amateur tactics aren't going to work on me!"
"Oh, well, I tried," Myrna sighed before she bum-rushed Sam, only for Nick to jump in front of Sam, place his hands together, then draw them apart, creating a ring of psychic energy between his palms.
Realizing her mistake, Myrna attempted to skid to a stop, but it was too late, as Nick fired the ring towards her, after which it encircled and constricted her. Nick clenched his fist before throwing it to the side, causing the ring to erupt in a swell of psychic power that floored Myrna instantly.
"Wanna try again for a nickel?" Nick taunted.
"I see that nothing will sway you now," Myrna proclaimed. "I believe it is time for me to take my leave, then. If you're not chickens, then come and find me in my secret lair. Don't keep me waiting."
Myrna threw down a set of smoke bombs to cover her trail as she escaped.
"I'm getting sick of villains always doing that, too," Bridget groaned.
"Never fear, everyone, super-awesome tracker drones to the rescue!" RiCO proclaimed from Nick's X-Powder. "I've got a lock on Myrna's signal, and it's heading somewhere in Rodeo Drive."
"That doesn't sound good at all," Sam responded. "Let's hurry up and stop her before she tries anything!"
That was all the spies needed to get moving.
9:15 P.M. – Beverly Hills
Rodeo Drive
It didn't take long for the spies to make it to Rodeo Drive, though they didn't see anything out of the ordinary at first.
"Was it just a fluke?" Melissa wondered.
"Rules for villains, number seventy-five," May quipped.
"...there are rules for villains?" Irida wondered.
"Ooh, do I have something to share with you later," Haruka giggled. "Are you picking up anything strange, Nick?"
Nick nodded, following his psychic radar to the part of Rodeo Drive that seemed the most suspicious. Eventually, he found his way to a nearby mailbox, pushing it aside to reveal a secret passage that led downward.
"Well, what do you know, rule seventy-five does indeed strike again," Nick chuckled. "Let's head on inside, everybody."
Nick yanked open the doorway so that the spies could head down the tunnel and into Myrna's secret lair.
The spies were quite confused when they beheld what appeared to be the inside of a medieval castle of sorts, with all the necessary decorations and everything.
"Okay, that's definitely not what I expected," May admitted.
"Was there a point to going all medieval-chic for her secret lair that only we're going to see?" Clover wondered.
"Maybe she just liked the aesthetic," Dawn quipped.
"Regardless, I think we need to keep moving and find Myrna before she becomes any more of a problem," Alex proclaimed. "Let's go kick some faces!"
The spies set out into the lair in search of Myrna, though Nick definitely noticed how worried Sam looked as they went deeper and deeper. He didn't need to use his psychic powers to understand what she was most likely thinking about.
"Penny for your thoughts, Sam?" Nick asked.
"Guess nothing gets past you, huh?" Sam chuckled. "I just hope Mat's going to be okay. You saw what James did to him, right?"
"Yes, but I also know for a fact that Mat's a tough cookie," Nick responded. "He's been through far worse than just that. We've all been through so much worse."
"So don't worry about a thing, 'kay, Sam?" Sortiliena quipped. "We've already taken down James for what he did, so all we gotta do is take Myrna out, too, and you two will be back to whispering all kinds of sweet nothings in each other's ears before you know it!"
Sam couldn't help but smile at the support of her friends as they made their way deeper into Myrna's lair.
To be concluded...

On the next episode...
Clover: Man, this place and its intended fashion clashes so hard it's not even funny.
Bridget: Makes sense that Myrna wouldn't know a thing about actual fashion, especially when it comes to villain lairs.
Alex: I'm starting to wonder what all of these things are.
Haruka: They look like... blueprints for W.O.O.H.P. gadgets?
Sortiliena: Yeah, but these all seem to have some slight modifications to them. You think that's her game plan this time?
Nick: Always expect the unexpected with our rogues' gallery, I guess. I'm sure we'll find out for sure once we find Myrna, next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Elements of Happiness, "Castle Calamity"!
Irida: I've gotta give major props to the set designers for this place, really.
May: Yeah, they really know how to build things.
