Lila scowled as she entered the empty locker room. Her lies had finally caught up with her – her mother had been contacted by Principal Damocles, who had informed her that he most definitely was not under the influence of Shadowmoth and that Lila must return to school immediately. She was grounded for a year and had to do detention every day after school to make up for skipping so many classes. It was pretty safe to say that things hadn't gone to plan.

Her frown deepened as she passed Marinette's locker. Curse Marinette Dupain-Cheng. That stupid girl who everyone loved, including Adrien. Always going out of her way to help people and thinking of others before herself. Ugh! She was even worse than Ladybug. Wait, scratch that. Nobody was worse than that obnoxious insect and her flea-bitten sidekick.

Suddenly, it came to her attention that Marinette had neglected to actually lock her locker, and it was hanging slightly open. As if she hadn't learnt her lesson from the time Lila had slipped the necklace inside to frame her. Like a fox pouncing on its prey, Lila darted forwards and flung the door open. There was all the usual stuff inside – Marinette's school books, her lunch bag and – wait, what was that? A sketchbook. She picked it up and flicked through it.

It was full of Marinette's designs. As much as she hated to admit it, they were seriously good. Marinette was very talented. Lila was just starting to think of some creative ways to destroy the sketchbook (all while making it look like an accident, of course) when she realised what the designs actually were.

'Are these…wedding dresses?' she muttered. They were. There were pages upon pages of sketches of wedding dresses, each slightly different to the one before. As she reached the second half of the book, there were sections titled Bridesmaids, Best Man, Table Decorations and even Wedding Cake. And then…Lila's mouth dropped open when she saw the section for Adrien's Outfit. Marinette had drawn lots of different tailored suits.

Something else caught her eye that she hadn't noticed before. Doodled all around the edge of the pages, in fancy swirly cursive, were the names 'Marinette Agreste' and 'Adrien Dupain-Cheng' as if the young designer had been trying to decide which sounded better. There were even little hearts above all the I's. It was revolting.

Lila couldn't believe her luck. That girl was smart enough to see right through her lies, yet dumb enough to leave this where literally anyone could find it. She threw back her head and laughed. It was common knowledge that Marinette had a crush on Adrien, like many other girls in Paris. But this…this was hilarious! She wanted to marry him and had spent hours designing their wedding. A satisfied grin spread across her face. Perhaps her first day back at school wouldn't be so bad after all...

'Oh, Marinette, you make it far too easy,' she sneered as she slipped the sketchbook into her backpack. 'When I show this to everyone, you'll be a laughingstock. Your friendship with Adrien will be over.'

Miss Bustier's class were all chatting away at their desks when Lila sidled into the room.

'Oh hey, Lila! It's great to see you back,' called Mylène.

'It's great to see you too, Mylène! I love your hair,' Lila said in her fake-nice voice. She strutted up to Marinette's desk, which was conveniently situated right behind Adrien's. This was going to be priceless!

'Hey, Marinette!'

'Lila.' Marinette scowled. 'You're back.'

'Yes. I couldn't travel the world forever, you know.' She laughed loudly. She wanted the whole class's attention for this. Sure enough, heads were starting to turn. Her reappearance alone had grabbed their attention.

'Of course, you couldn't,' her adversary replied through gritted teeth.

'Oh, I almost forgot,' she said, making sure to be loud enough for Adrien to hear, which was easy since he was only sitting a few metres away. 'I found your sketchbook in the locker room! It was on the floor and I thought I'd bring it back to you in case it got lost.'

'That's really kind of you, Lila,' called Rose. Most of the class were now listening. Lila pulled out the sketchbook with a flourish and watched with glee as all the colour drained out of Marinette's cheeks.

'You know, your designs are so good! I had no idea you wanted to be a wedding designer one day!'

At this, Adrien spun round in his seat. His green eyes landed on the book, and his brow furrowed.

'Uh…I'll just be taking that back, then, if you don't mind, Lila,' Marinette make a grab for the book but Lila stepped back, pretending to have noticed something new.

'Wait…does that say...Marinette...and Adrien?'

'No it doesn't!' yelled Marinette. She jumped up from her chair, tripped over the leg of the desk and fell over, face-planting the floor. Alya quickly offered her a hand and helped her up.

'Okay, Lila, that's enough. Give Marinette her book back,' she said firmly.

'Wait a minute. Let me see that.' Chloé rose from her seat and grabbed the book from Lila, who was more than happy to hand it over. She flicked through it. 'HA! Sabrina, get a load of this! Dupain-Cheng wants to marry Adrien! How sad is that? He's way out of her league!'

Chloé and Sabrina laughed their horrid, girly cackle of a laugh, which was music to Lila's ears. Of course she could rely on those two to do the dirty work for her, while she remained innocent in everyone's eyes. Sure enough, they had all started whispering and shooting glares at the blonde and the redhead. Adrien, meanwhile, was watching with a thoughtful frown.

'Sorry, Marinette. I guess I gave your secret away. I didn't mean to.' Lila batted her eyelashes.

'Oh yes you did, Lila,' snarled Alya. 'That was a really mean trick. I bet you took that book out of Marinette's locker on purpose.'

'Me? Go in Marinette's locker?' Lila placed a hand over her heart and pretended to look upset. 'Why would I do that?'

'You've done it before, you liar.'

Chloé and Sabrina were still flicking through the sketchbook, giggling their heads off. Adrien stood up, seeming to decide enough was enough.

'May I look at that please, Chloé?'

'Be my guest, Adrikins. See for yourself how much of a freak this baker-girl really is.'

Chloé thrust the book at Adrien, who began to look through it curiously while everyone waited with bated breath. Lila smirked. This was the moment she'd been waiting for. He'd be so weirded out by Marinette's crazy obsession with him that he'd never want to speak to her again. Marinette was watching him, but for some reason, she was now looking oddly calm about the whole situation. Hmm. That was strange. Why wasn't she freaking out more?

'Why, Marinette,' Adrien began, his eyes widening in horror. 'I can't believe you'd do this. I had no idea you felt this way.'

'Oh…really?' Marinette looked as if she were trying not to laugh. Huh? That wasn't right…

'Well, yes. I thought we agreed on red and green for our wedding colours.'

Lila froze. Wait, what?

Marinette folded her arms.

'You suggested it, I didn't agree. I'm not having our wedding look like a Christmas party!' she replied.

'But blue? Why not like…green and pink? You love pink!'

What was going on?

'I tried that in my other sketchbook, everything looked like a watermelon.'

'What's wrong with watermelons?'

'Watermelons are great, but I don't want our wedding to look like one.'

Lila glanced around at the rest of the class to make sure she was hearing all of this correctly. Based on their stunned expressions, she wasn't going mad and they were witnessing the same conversation she was.

'Pink and blue, then?' Adrien suggested.

Marinette shook her head.

'No, that's not right either. That'll make it look like a baby shower.'

'Right. And we can't have that. That'll come a few years after the wedding.'

'Adrien!'

'What? You're the one who wants three kids and a hamster.'

Marinette turned the colour of a beetroot.

'You're – you're not supposed to tell people about that!'

Lila's left eye began to twitch violently. There she was, thinking she'd found the perfect way to humiliate Marinette in front of Adrien, and it turned out they were already dating? She felt like throwing the stupid book out the window and screaming. By the looks of it, Chloé felt the same way. Her mouth was opening and closing, which made her look like a giant yellow-and-black goldfish.

The rest of the class seemed to be a mix of shocked and amused. Alix and Kim were snorting with laughter, Rose clapped her hands together with joy and Juleka muttered 'Awesome.' Alya and Nino just looked dumbstruck.

'Okay, Marinette, hear me out. I've got it this time. How about...red and black?'

Marinette considered this, then gave a satisfied nod. Her bluebell eyes sparkled.

'You know what...that actually sounds good. I'll get to work on some more designs.'

'Excellent. Oh, and for the record…as much as I love the sound of Marinette Agreste, I have to say I much prefer Adrien Dupain-Cheng.' Adrien snapped the sketchbook shut with a feline grin.

That did it. The whole class either gasped, burst out laughing, or shouted things like 'It's about time!'

'Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!' Chloé exploded. Lila, however, had to try and contain her anger, because that was how she worked. She couldn't let the others see how epically her plan had backfired.

'You two must be boyfriend and girlfriend, then?' she asked, trying to keep the bitterness out of her voice.

'Oh, we're not actually dating yet,' said Adrien casually.

'Not dating?' Nino exclaimed. 'But dude, you were literally just planning to get married and have kids together!'

'It doesn't hurt to plan ahead,' Marinette shrugged.

Miss Bustier chose that moment to walk in.

'Oh, Lila, good to see you're here. You can take that empty desk at the back. Providing your tinnitus isn't causing you any trouble?'

'No, it's fine, Miss Bustier.'

'Good. I'll see you after school for detention.'

Her face flaming, Lila trudged miserably to the back of the class and plonked herself down. This was not over. She'd get revenge on the pair of them.

Adrien handed the sketchbook back to Marinette with a wink.

'I believe this belongs to you, m'lady,' he said, the last word quiet enough for only Marinette to hear.

'Thanks, Kitty,' she mouthed. Adrien took his seat as she put the book safely in her own bag. Then she turned to Alya, who was looking at her and Adrien like they were aliens from outer space.

'Girl…you have some serious explaining to do.'

'Well, that showed them, didn't it?' Cat Noir laughed as he gazed out over Paris that evening.

'Sure did,' Ladybug replied. 'Marinette and Adrien one, Chloé and Lila zero. Pound it!' They fist-bumped and fell about laughing, clutching each other for support.

'Man, I wish I could have taken a picture of the looks on their faces,' he chortled. 'It was su-purr-b.'

'It was. But I think I'll be more careful where I leave my stuff from now on.'

'Good idea. I don't think we've heard the last from Lila.'

'That's true. Did you mean what you said about wanting to be a Dupain-Cheng?'

'Of course, m'lady. Then I wouldn't have to be my father's perfect child anymore. Maybe I could help your parents with the bakery when you're a world-famous fashion designer.'

'Let's just focus on right now, okay Kitty?'

'Excuse me? That's rich considering you've already named our children, Bugaboo.'

'Touché.'

She leant her head on his shoulder.

'We really should make it official, you know.'

'What, our engagement?' she joked. His laughter echoed through the night.

'Not that I'm complaining, but I meant the fact that we're actually a couple. I mean, why haven't we?'

'I dunno. I guess it's been hard for me to process that it's actually you. That it's been you all along. But you're right. I mean, we're planning our wedding and we haven't even been on a date yet.'

'No time like the present!' He got up and offered her a clawed hand. 'Want to go and get ice-cream?'

She took his hand and allowed him to pull her up.

'I'd love to. Last one to find André has to pay!' She threw her yo-yo and vanished. He chuckled as he extended his baton.

'You're forgetting about my powers of smell and hearing, Marinette,' he said under his breath before launching himself into the air.

Thanks for reading! Here is the original prompt from 11JJ11:

Post-reveal, pre-relationship. Marinette accidentally leaves a sketchbook out, which Lila/Chloe/someone finds, and discovers it is full of plans for Marinette and Adrien's wedding. Thinking they hit the jackpot, they take it to Adrien to try and ruin his and Marinette's friendship. Adrien looks through the wedding plans, eyes widening in horror.

'Marinette, I thought we agreed on red and green for our wedding colours.'

'You suggested it, I didn't agree. I'm not having our wedding look like a Christmas party!'

'But blue? Why not…green and pink? You love pink!'

'I tried that in my other sketchbook, everything looked like a watermelon.'

'What's wrong with watermelons?'

The whole class just watches in pure confusion as Adrien and Marinette, who aren't even dating (yet) talk about a wedding that they've clearly spent a lot of time planning.

Thanks for such a fun idea!
