Rose returned to her apartment after going to the movies with her twin sister, Lily. They'd gone to see the third Fantastic Beast film. But, unfortunately, they'd been late getting there because their mother, Iris, had no sense of time.
Iris insisted Rose was the one without a sense of time. However, getting there when the previews have already commenced is late. Iris wasn't even dressed when Rose showed up for her ride. Iris consistently waited till the last minute. Likewise, she insisted on stopping for cigarettes when the movie was ten minutes from starting.
The movie started at 12:15. Therefore, they should've left at twenty to noon, not ten minutes. Since you've to consider traffic and everything, the sisters enjoyed the film. However, when waiting for their mother to come to pick them up? Rose questioned her sister about her impending vacation and mentioned how her own to Florida had been a bust.
When Lily cut into her—saying that Rose was the disrespectful, insulting, and irresponsible one! That she never took accountability for her blunders and blamed everyone. That Rose being extremely straightforward was toxic and sinful.
This made Rose see red. She shrieked at her sister for lies. If anyone didn't take accountability or lacked consideration, it was Lily. After all, Rose had trekked halfway across town twice to apologize to someone she had been disrespectful to, and how she went out of the way for her online friends.
She'd been working her ass off in therapy to improve herself. Not to mention? She'd looked up over a dozen times on Google the indications of toxic and abusive people. So how dare they blame Rose for any of it! They're the ones who hit all the markers to a T!
The primary reason Rose never forgave her family? Specifically, her twin sister? It exclusively came down to their firm denial. Despite they're well informed of why their actions constituted abuse.
Rose had never been physically abusive with anyone. Lily, on the other hand? She'd done so on several occasions and never took responsibility. Instead, she immediately blamed the victim or claimed it was a misunderstanding!
Therefore, how is it Rose was the unreliable one? She did own up to her mistakes! On the hand, Lily had never in her life owned up. Especially with her violent behavior.
Rose wanted to know why her family didn't come out and say it. That they loathed her and wanted her the fuck out of their lives! Again, she has invariably been the unmistakable unfavored one in the family. Lily could mouth off, spew lies, attack people again, and never get in trouble.
But Rose, who didn't lie and never attacked anyone, was to blame? So why didn't they say it already? "I hate you, and get the f out of my life?" She'd been waiting for them to acknowledge that for years. She wondered how much longer before her sister or mother flogged again. Either way? She'd make sure they were locked up for good if either did touch her again.
After talking to a mental health support line, Rose then went to find something to eat. Maybe she should call in for comfort food since she'd need it. Yes, comfort food was definitely in order.
