Chapter 1
A silver lining.
This is another fanfic we came up with we hope you'll like it and hope to see your reviews about what you think of our first chapter and will stick around to see more of the adventure that will happen in U+Z. So without further a due, we introduce you to U+Z A.K.A Ultra Zone.
My grandmother used to tell me stories about how peaceful Ebott used to be when it was ruled by three races. They were known as Humans, Monsters & Angels, but one day war broke out between the three races. After three years of pain and gruesome deaths, the Humans were victorious but the Angels were captured by the Humans and brought to Epson the capital of Ebott
to be judged by the king and the seven wizards. After the king had a long conversation with the
seven wizards, they decided to have the angels banished from Ebott and never return.
And the Monsters were sealed away in a rift of time and space.
Fifty years have passed since that day and some humans have ventured off into the wreath,
but none have returned. The scenery changed to a young woman closing a book that had a title that said the history of Ebott. She has sky blue hair, green eyes, and fair skin. She's wearing a
Yellow dress, a jean jacket and a pair of red sandals and her name are Emily Green.
Emily: "So does anyone have any questions about what I read?" She asked.
A student raised his hand, it was a twelve-year-old boy he has black curly hair, light brown skin, and dark brown eyes. He's wearing blue jeans, gray long sleeves, a black cap, and sneakers.
Emily: "Yes Chris, is there something you like to share with us. She said smiling.
Chris: "Well, is there a reason why the Monsters were sealed away in the first place.
Student #1: "Huh."
Student #5: "Are you seriously defending the monsters?"
Chris: "Well, yeah I mean they said that the monsters can absorb a human, but in the records and history books not a single human soul has been taken by the monsters. That alone shows what the seven wizards did was unjustified. I couldn't help but feel bad for them." He said sincerely with some optimism.
Emily couldn't help but smile, she didn't expect one of her students to think the same way as she does about monsters.
?: "So what." someone said loudly.
Everyone looked to who said that, it was a student he had wavy blonde hair, fair skin, and green eyes. He's wearing an unbuttoned shirt, a black undershirt, green cargo pants, black boots and
Fingerless gloves. And his name is Evan.
Evan: "What's done, is done. Besides no one can enter the cave to get to the rift because of the three knights guarding it twenty-four seven especially since a few years ago
a monster came from the wreath and killed a child, but luckily before that monster could do any damage. The people in town were able to make it flee back into the rift where it belonged."
He said in complete boredom.
He turned his head to Chris and had a mischievous grin on his face.
Evan: "So I highly doubt a guy like you would be able to survive in a place full of monsters,
especially since you can't use magic Zero." He said in a rude tone.
That name right there got Chris ticked, but before he could say anything.
Emily: "That's enough Evan, I will not have fighting in my classroom, and Chris, after class I would like to have a word with you." She said sincerely.
Chris nodded toward his teacher and remained silent while the entire class was going,
But he couldn't help but feel pretty nervous since his teacher wanted to speak with him
when everyone left class. Heck, that would make any kid nervous.
Fifteen minutes later.
Chris is sitting in a chair in front of Emily's desk watching her dust off the chalkboard.
Emily: "So Chris, do you know why I would wish to talk with you?" She asked sternly.
Chris: "Does it have something to do with me deafening the monsters?" He asked, a little confused.
Emily shook her head from side to side as put down the chalkboard eraser and took a seat in front of her desk.
Emily: "No, I want to ask you a couple of questions, starting with what you think about the monsters and I want to know why are you trying to be in a class that is only meant for
those who can use magic. I'm not saying you're not able to use it, but for some reason when it comes to using basic human spells it won't work, cause if I was in your shoes I would try to be a knight or a scientist. She said concerningly and with a little worry.
Chris thought for a couple of minutes and knew exactly what to say.
Chris: "Well, my Mom use to tell me stories about how her great-grandpa used to be friends with a few monsters long ago, but after the war, he felt terrible when he found out that his
friends were forced out of their home and sealed away in the rift in. So I hope to one day meet the monsters and hope things can go back to the way they were before the war happened." He said happily with a toothy grin.
Emily couldn't help but smile at what Chris told her.
Chris: "And about me being a knight or scientist, I don't think that's my true purpose and as for magic, I know being able to learn magic depends on the mage's soul color but when my parents took me to see a mage who can read about souls and abilities. All they said was that my soul is extremely rare and unique and I can use magic, so I don't completely understand why this keeps happening every time I learn magic but maybe if I keep trying something is bound to happen so I'm gonna keep on trying and never give up cause I know
I'll be one of the best wizards in Ebott. He said with complete optimism.
Emily couldn't help but smile and hope that he finds a way for his soul to work.
Emily: "Well then, all I can do is wish you luck Chris, and hope the best for you." She said with a bright smile.
Chris nodded, said his goodbye, and left the classroom his teacher couldn't help but thought that she saw his eyes were red for a moment but decided to shrug it off and get back to clearing out the classroom. Chris was walking down the hallway he bumped into a girl who was playing with her gamepad.
She stopped in her tracks and lifted her head to see who she bumped into and looked a little surprised.
Chris: "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." He responded.
As he got a good look at her he saw that she had dark gray eyes and saw that she had black hair, and light tan skin. She was wearing a blue sweater with magenta stripes, brown jeans, and black sneakers. He couldn't help but get lost in her eyes, but after a moment he snapped out of it.
Chris: (Was that Red heart, she's pretty.) He thought dreamingly.
Chris quickly snapped out of his thoughts and continued on his way out of school, but as he turned right to head for the exit someone tripped him and made him fall on his butt. He looked up
And saw Evan he looked at Chris with a mischievous grin, and he picked Chris up by his collar and slammed him into a locker.
Chris: "Uh cliche much." He grunted.
Evan: "Listen carefully cause I'm only gonna say this once, a guy like you doesn't belong at a school like this, so why don't you do us all a favor and leave." "Cause if you don't I'm going to make things a lot worse for you in school, understand."
Chris: "You want to know what your problem is, you're just jealous about the fact that I'm determined to keep going no matter what obstacle is against me, but you just want to pick on me to feel better about yourself." He said while glaring at him.
Evan glared at Chris and was to punch him in the face but before he could do that he noticed that there were too many people in the hallway so he just slammed him to the locker and walked away without saying a word.
Chris groaned in pain as he rubbed his back with his right arm but then he heard someone clapping their hands. He turned his head to the side and saw Red heart smiling at him.
Chris: "You were watching the entire time?" He said completely surprised.
Red heart: "Yep." She said while nodding.
A tick mark appeared on the back of Chris's head as he tried his best not to explode.
Chris: "And you didn't try to help me!" He said trying not to yell
Red heart: "Well I was but it looked like you had it under control." She said smiling as she walked towards him.
She brought her hand towards Chris, he sighed and took her hand as she helped him up off the floor.
Red heart: (I don't know why but something keeps telling me to talk to him and get to know him.) She thought confusingly.
Chris: "So what game were you playing." He said excitedly.
Red heart: "Galaxia" She responded.
Chris: "You play Galaxia?" He said a little surprised.
Red heart: "Yeah, I think it's a really good game." She said happily.
Chris: "Well it's okay but I would prefer Pacman or Mario to Galaxia, cause that is too easy to beat. How about you let me try it-"
Red heart: "No, I want to beat the high score that's put on this game." She said enthusiastically.
Chris: "OK then." He said slightly confused.
Chris: ("I can't believe I'm talking to Red heart, hmmm, I wonder if I should ask her.")("Oh, come on Chris stop second-guessing yourself, she seems like a nice girl.") He thought.
Chris: "Hey I was wondering, would you like to hang out after school." He asked.
Red heart paused her game and looked at Chris with a blank face.
Red heart: "Anywhere in particular?" She asked
Chris: "Well we could go to the park." He responded
She thought about it for a moment and nodded
Red heart: "Alright, I guess I'll see you after school." She said as she decided to get to class before the bell rang.
Chris: "K, see you Red heart." He said in an excited tone as he waved to her goodbye but as he turned around and was about to head toward his locker.
Red heart: "Frisk." She said a little annoyed.
Chris stopped in his tracks and turned his head towards her showing a bit of confusion.
Chris:''hmm?'' He said not able to make out what she was trying to say.
Red heart: "My name is frisk now you don't have to call me red heart anymore"
Chris: "Frisk, well that's a nice name." "It's funny how our names sound the same because my name is Chris." He said optimistically.
(Flashback)
A kid-sized goat with white fur, and green eyes wearing a green and yellow striped sweater
Smiling at her.
Goat kid: "Frisk, that's a nice name."
(Flashback over)
Frisk shook her head, smiled, and waved bye to Chris, and he did the same. He did the same as he walked away from her and headed toward his locker as he was almost there he saw the principal and Evan talking right in front of his locker. Chris was on edge, he decided the best thing do is just slowly walk away and come back later when the principal is not there, especially Evan. So he turn around and started to tiptoe away until-
Principal: "Chris, could you come over here for a moment." He said sternly.
Chris turned around to face the principal and slowly nodded
Principal: "Would you care to explain why you took Evan's stuff and put them in your locker."
He said unhappily.
Chris looked at him with a confused expression.
Chris: "I didn't take any of Evan's stuff." He said in a confused tone
Evan: "He's lying, he took my stuff and put it in his locker!" He said as he pretended to be angry.
Chris turned to Evan with an angry expression and was ready to punch Evan in the face, but what was stopping him from doing it was the principal being there.
The Principal raised an eyebrow and looked at Evan then back at Chris.
Principal: "Okay how about this Chris, if you open your locker and check if you don't I have to take your word for it." He said reasonably.
Chris nodded and went to his locker as he opened it, he saw a couple of things that weren't in his locker the last time he opened it. There was a sketchbook and a walkman that wasn't his,
Chris looked at the principal and the principal did not look happy.
Chris: I didn't take his stuff and this wasn't here before I went to class."
Evan: "What are you suggesting that I snuck over here to your locker an-"
The principal: "Evan, that's enough." "Chris I can't believe you lied and said that you didn't take any of Evan's things and for I'm going to place you in detention right after school and I'll be making sure your parents know about this, understand !" He said to Chris looking furious.
Chris: "But it wasn't me, I didn't even touch none of hi-"
The Principal: "Do you understand?" He said patiently.
Chris: "(sigh) Yes sir." He said in defeat.
Evan couldn't help but smile at the sight before him.
Evan: "Heh, heh, heh."(I told you I'm gonna make things in school worse for you Zero.) He thought with a smirk.
