-Age 782-
Goku had waited for his son to get on the bus, hovering just around cloud level making sure Goten didn't get lost. As soon as he saw him get on the bus and saw the bus drive off, he turned and flew away. During the first two days of the week he had no work and it was Monday, meaning he could do what he wanted. He had some other things to do that involved the monster world.
Goku wasn't a fool, regardless of what Vegeta believed. This was a misconception many held about him that he did very little to combat. Thankfully for him, it never really worked as a disadvantage for him.
Almost as soon as he entered the new world with Goten, he sensed all the monster Kis immediately. However, instead of being intimidated and worrying about his son's safety, he was excited and went around meeting the stronger Kis he could find to get a hang of the situation on Earth. The first two years that passed gave him a decent understanding of what was going on in the world.
It went like this.
Monsters were disguising themselves to fit in to an extent with humans and at the moment the peace between humans and monsters was tenuous. When Goku and Goten arrived, they were like fish out of water and had a severe lack of experience with just about everything. Goku spent some time looking around and meeting anyone he felt was interesting and made a name for himself in many monster communities across the world as someone you didn't cross. In fact, he had gained quite the fanbase among the monster women on Earth.
Today, he was looking to meet up with a werewolf clan in California, North America. He had gained the ability to comprehend and speak all languages as a gift from the Kais for his help in fixing the Buu incident so he could speak English quite well. Flying across the North Pacific Ocean he sped across the ocean like a rocket. However, he instantly stopped halfway across.
Goten's Ki disappeared from the Earth.
"NO! Goten!" Goku shouted in shock.
Panicking, Goku flew to where his Ki was last sensed. It was in the middle of a road in Japan not too far from his apartment. The traces of magic still remained in the street, and he had learned to sense magic to a degree. Having been in this world for five years, he was specifically aware of magic thanks to both monsters, witches, and Babidi. His next action was to return to his apartment and look through the brochure he had been given for the school. Sure enough when he actually fully read it, it was slightly suspicious.
"Yokai Academy" Goku said softly as he read through the brochure fully. Sure enough, it was a school for monsters. He hadn't thought much about it at the time he enrolled his son, thinking it was just an event brochure for something like Halloween or another earthling celebration he wasn't aware of, and that the school was just a normal one.
"Damnit" He said bringing his fist down on the table he sat at with a loud bang, cracking it with the strike. He held back a lot as to not destroy the building.
Finding the phone number on the pamphlet, he noticed that a private number was scrawled onto the pamphlet.
'Headmaster Mikogami 7649-xx-xxxx' was written on the free space of the paper, almost as if the man had predicted this exact situation and wrote it in advance.
Goku took his cell phone and called the number. It rang twice before a man picked it up.
"Hello, This is Youkai Academy Headmaster Mikogami speaking" The man answered with a smooth and knowing voice.
"This is Goku. I enrolled my son Goten to your school by bus and he has just disappeared from the earth. What did you do to him?" Goku responded forcefully, concerned for his son.
"Oh this is a surprise, the famous Son Goku ringing me personally. It is a pleasure to finally meet you. Now as for your son Goten, he is in the pocket dimension this school resides in. He is not being held hostage or against his will, and I would be more than pleased if you would like to come and visit the school and meet our staff. I'm sure it will ease your mind on this misunderstanding. I'm certain the pamphlet for our school says it's in an alternate reality. Did you not read it fully?" Headmaster Mikogami said, giving a logical explanation for his son's disappearance.
"Phew" Goku exhaled in relief before continuing "I was worried he had gotten in trouble. Now that I know he's not, I'd love to come see the school when I get some free time, but today I have some business in North America to finish" Goku responded relieved that his son was safe.
"Not a problem. My school is always open to you. I'm very excited about how your son Goten manages to fit in. Is there anything else you need?" Headmaster Mikogami finished.
"No, but when I want to visit I'll call you" Goku replied.
"Wonderful. Do take care Mr. Son" Headmaster Mikogami replied before hanging up, the situation defused.
Goku slumped in his seat, relieved his son wasn't kidnapped. Moving on to his next business, he took a shower and changed into a new pair of clothes consisting of an orange Tshirt, orange Martial pants and blue martial arts boots similar to those he normally wore.
Taking to the skies, he flew the full way to California and to the compound the werewolves congregated in.
Landing near a grape Vineyard, He landed in the middle of a field with a large group of buildings surrounded by large barbed wire fences. He walked across the field and down the path leading to the compound.
When he got to the entrance, he was greeted by a chain link door and two men looking up from the table they sat at next to it.
Catching sight of him, One of the men, a tall seven foot one man with a considerable muscle mass under his slightly tanned light skin and gray hair, got up. He wore a white wife beater and blue jeans. His gray eyes were lit with excitement seeing the man.
"Hey! It's Goku. Right on time!" The man said, unlocking the gate and opening it for him.
Goku walked in and greeted the two men.
"Hi Jim, Hi Dave. Where's Kevin?" He asked, looking for the pack master who was in need of his help.
"Kevin is in the rec house, last time we saw him he was playing pool with some wendigos that came down from Canada to meet him" Jim replied. Dave, the other man who was sitting at the table just gave a lazy wave and went back to surfing the net on his smartphone.
"Got it. See ya later" Goku replied, walking over to a large domed building that he could hear the sound of classic rock blasting out of. It was playing a Bruce Springsteen song that he hadn't heard before. Kevin was really into classic rock along with the rest of his right hand men and women.
Opening the front door, he was greeted by the sight of a pool hall and bar where men and women, all some form of monster or other were drinking, eating and playing pool. Every one there was at least an A class monster with many S class monsters. A considerable force to be reckoned with for anyone not named Goku or Goten.
PAssing through the throng he was greeted by a few monsters and given a Jack Daniels which he turned down, much to the chagrin of the Female Wendigo who offered it, a woman in her late twenties with long silver hair, pale white skin, and ice blue eyes.
Finally, at the back of the hall Goku met the pack master, Kevin. He had just gotten a three ball shot and was having a conversation with a young woman that looked to be in her mid twenties.
He was about seven one and heavily muscled to the extent of someone like Tien before he slimmed down. He had light sandy blonde hair cut in a buzz cut, green eyes and light skin. He wore an olive green wife beater, olive green shorts and black combat boots with steel toes.
Turning to see who was approaching, a smile lit up his strongly defined face and square jaw.
"Goku! The man of the hour! It's good to see you Brother" He greeted Goku, arms wide out and gave him a tight hug and clapped Goku on the back.
Goku hugged him back, returning the greeting and then the two broke away from each other.
"Kevin, It's good to see you. How is your family?" Goku asked. After all, the way they met was when Kevin was on a vacation in Japan he had gotten into a dispute with a clan of Japanese werewolves, and Goku had saved his life along with the lives off his clanmates. Naturally, Goku was well admired by their clan.
"The family is good, and our clan is thriving. Here let's go to my office and we can talk freely. Jessika, I'll talk with you later. Goku and me have some business" He finished, addressing the girl he was with who nodded and walked off.
Goku and Kevin walked out of the bar and pool hall to a quieter two story office building that they entered. Cool air washed over them from the air conditioning and the sound of men and women on phones and computer keyboards clacking came across Goku's sensitive hearing. This was the office building that handled all the business ventures of the Clan.
Kevin walked Goku down the hall past the offices and up a flight of stairs to the main offices on the second floor. At the end of the white carpeted hallway, Goku and Kevin entered the pack master's office.
It was a nice office, with white walls that had pictures of Kevin and his family on gold frames next to two big book cases that had books from legal texts to various works of literature. Kevin did enjoy reading in his down time, despite his work and hobbies. Sitting at a large red mahogany desk in a soft cushioned wine red chair, Kevin beckoned Goku to sit across from him at one of the other comfortable chairs.
The window behind him was quite wide and looked out over the Clan's Vineyard.
Goku took a seat and asked what he was needed for.
"Right, straight to the point. I need your help. My son Max is going to be fifteen in a few days, and he wants to spar with you on his birthday. I didn't wanna promise anything to him cause you might say no, but I'll be willing to pay you a thousand if you spar with him and give him some tips and pointers. What do you say?" Kevin asked Goku, knowing that training with Goku, even for only a hour or so would make his son happy beyond belief.
If anyone could teach his son up to his high standards, it would be Goku. Of that he was as sure as sure could be. Goku was an existence that was easily SS class or even higher.
"Sure, I can do that" Goku responded with a kind laugh.
"Thanks alot. A was worried I'd have to say no to my little man. No dad wants to do that when something like this is on stake" Kevin replied with a laugh of his own, relieved that Goku didn't turn him down.
"No biggie, just let me know the time and place. I'll be there" Goku replied. The man's son was a decent fighter in his own right and training monsters was something Goku enjoyed, it had him thinking outside the box and adapting his own fighting style to other types of fighters. Granted, he had fought many types of creatures over his lifetime, but they were almost all humanoid.
Experience trumped almost everything else when it came to fighting, and Goku loved getting it.
"So, wanna stay over for the night? I got a room for you if you want, and don't even worry about food. We got plenty of it" Kevin offered. It was a gesture of goodwill, given how much Goku eats. Also, he might spar with a few of the Clan, giving them tips and experience too.
However, Goku turned him down.
"Sorry, I have some stuff to do in Canada later, but you can call me if you need anything" Goku said, getting up from his chair.
"Alright, I'll call you when I've figured out where the Birthday party will be" Kevin confirmed before watching Goku leave the office.
Picking up his phone from the desk, Kevin made a phone call.
"Hey max. He said yes" Kevin informed his son who had picked up.
The excited yell on the other end almost deafened him, but it was good to hear his son so happy.
Goku exited the compound and made his way up to the sky. His nex destination was Canada, but that wasn't for a few more hours. So, he did what he did best besides fighting. Fishing.
By now, his method of fishing wasn't so much conventional fishing as sensing the fish or other aquatic animal's Ki and just diving in and catching it. So he did exactly that.
Author's note: My idea for this story is to write one chapter in Goten's perspective. Then the next in Goku's. Then the next in Goten's and so on. If enough people don't like that, ill just do both as one chapter, but it will be slower to be released. Let me know what you want.
