Her eyes scanned the guildhall observing everyone else as they prepared for jobs or talked to fellow guild members. Then she saw him, beige hair, black eyes, and one of the most welcoming smiles she had ever seen. Nine years ago they had never really been that close but at some point, something had changed and now they would talk almost every day. His eyes met hers and a smirk made its way onto his face. She knew what he was thinking and he knew that was all she would be able to think about for the rest of the day.

During the one-year disbandment, the two had lived together and they may have gotten a bit intimate a few times. This hasn't changed, occasionally she would spend the night at his place, and if she was being honest she was surprised no one had noticed, especially Kinana.

The wood make mage was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't noticed that Max had come over to where she sat until his arm was draped around her shoulders.

"Trying to find your next torture victim?" Max jokingly asked as he took Laki's drink, earning him a glare from the purple-haired girl.

"You know, I would appreciate it if you didn't take my drink. You can buy your own," Laki said, moving the cup back towards herself.

"Oh, you're mad at me, what did I do?" Max asked, that annoying smirk never leaving his face.

"You know what you did, you and that stupid smirk." Laki retorted, looking away from the sand mage.

"What are you two talking about?" Kinana asked, coming out of nowhere and causing the other two to blush like crazy. If she found out about their relationship then it would only be a matter of time until everyone in the guild knew.

Kinana looked at Laki, then Max, then back to Laki. It didn't take long for her to figure out that something was going on between them and when she found out she nearly passed out from joy.

"Are you two dating?" Kinana asked after recovering from her shock.

"Yes we are, but we want to keep it a secret, for now, so don't tell anyone, especially Mira," Laki whispered pulling the barmaid down so that she didn't have to speak louder.

"Fine, but don't wait too long, I'm not going to be very patient with this," Kinana said before walking away, leaving the other two Fairy Tail members worried she might tell someone.
