Three Days later
Hiccup held the Dragon Eye in his hand over the volcano from which the Eruptodon feeds. This was it. The Dragon Eye needs to be destroyed if they want to protect the King of Dragons from Viggo and whoever hired him. The Riders have spent the last several days throwing the Hunters off his trail. Now he was going to lose an archive of the Dragon World to protect the world from a greater threat in the North. While he may not get to know all of the secrets the Eye holds, but neither will Viggo. The Viking tossed the Eye into the volcano for it to melt.
One Week Later
Viggo's ship has been sailing for days now. Viggo knew the Rider sighting was just a ploy to get the Hunter fleet away from Hiccup and the Dragon Eye. But Krogan keeps flying off to try and stop the Rider. Viggo study his maps thinking of what Hiccup was planning. They were leading the Hunters West, so Viggo was heading East. His best choice is the Defenders of the Wing, but there are countless islands where Hiccup can hide or attempt to destroy the Eye. But unknown to the Riders, the Dragon Eye can't be destroyed. But attacking an Allie of the Riders would cost him dearly. Which means he needs to show his cards.
Six Days Later
The Riders and Flyers were fighting over Wingmaiden Island. The Hunters and the Flyers have been attempting to block the Riders from their Allies for days now. With the Dragon Eye destroyed, Hiccup hoped that the war would grow cold, but it proved to be the opposite. The Flyers were bombarding the Rider's Allies while the Hunters cut them off from supplies. Hiccup grabbed his sword and opened the Zippleback canister. As Toothless flew past the Flyers, Hiccup smiled. When he ignited the gas, over a dozen Flyers were kicked off. Then the Flyer leader swooped in, blasting Gunni off of his Deadly Nadder. Hiccup and Toothless chased the mysterious Flyer while Drifter went into a dive to catch his Rider. Hiccup and Toothless chased the flyer to naturally formed pillars of rock. Fireballs were fired from the Singetail's tail, but the two dodged the flames. Toothless fired plasma blasts only for the Flyer to dodge. When the Flyer entered a cave, Hiccup was going to follow, but Toothless pulled back.
"What is it bud?" Hiccup asked as they stay in the air. Then he saw it. Hunters hidden in bushes of the island. Toothless turned his head to Hiccup with his large eyes. The Viking smiled and nodded. The Night Fury fired a Plasma Blast firing the Hunters out of their cover. Moments later the cave was blown apart collapsing in on itself. The two launched into the sky to rejoin the battle, but the Flyers were already retreating. "What's going on?"
"Well, the Flyers are in full retreat but the Hunter fleet is still attacking the Wingmaidens." Thrain reported and his Skrill shrieked.
"Then let's go help the Wingmaidens." Hiccup said as the Rider dove down to the Hunter ships. Each dragon opened fire on the ships turning them into smoking decks. When the Hunter ships tried to maneuver away from the island, they struck their fellow Hunter sinking them further. Another battle was won, but the war was still heated.
Three Days Later
"The Hunters are increasing their attacks. We can't keep fighting like this." Heather reported at the Rider Leadership Meeting and Hiccup knew she was right. Ever since the Riders destroyed the Dragon Eye, the Hunters were sending everything they had against the Riders and it was taking its toll on the Riders. But they need to stop Viggo, Ryker, and the Flyer leader once and for all. The only choice. Strike back. Hunter Island was abandoned and it was clear, Viggo wasn't interested in peace. Which means that they had to stop the fleet before they hit islands and free whatever dragon they could. Before it's too late.
Two Days Later
Chief Berg Makson the Great flew his Rumblehorn, Grime in the night sky with the Battle Team. They were a more aggressive bunch of riders, but they could get the job down. And with the recent loss of Kolbein, they were wanting to dish out vengeance. None wanted as much as his sister, Osk as she rode her Deadly Nadder, Hallowtail. For the past several hours they've been flying searching for Hunter ships. But with it being night, finding anything would be difficult. But with a stroke of luck, they saw the lights of ships. Berg grabbed his spyglass and looked down to see eight ships. The Chief smiled as he raised his hand up, holding the Riders. Then he dropped it and the Team went into a steep dive down. Eirik Vog's Mudraker, Ghost fired a Sonic Blast followed by the other dragon's fire breaths. Just as soon as the battle began, it was over. Mear moments of fighting ending with their victory.
One Day Later
Bardi Anund and his Razorwhip, Ghostwhip flew over the ocean on patrol with the Hideous Zippleback Riders, Frida Mak on Zip and Egil Surt on Smelly. The Calvery Team members were on patrol once more searching for Hunter movements. As they flew, Ghostwhip leaned her wings into the water, sending ripples throughout the waves. Female Razorwhips usually attacked males because of animal instincts. So Bardi felt it as an honor that the Razorwhip trusted him. He remembered when the Razorwhip was wounded in the woods. Using Hiccup's training, he helped the Razorwhip despite the dragon almost slicing him off. but the dragon saw that he helped and the two were loyal friends. Searching for Hunters to fight.
Later That Day
"You promised me that we would have the King of Dragons by now Viggo. But here we are, without the Dragon." Krogan said to Viggo as the Hunter examined his Maces and Talons set. Pondering what's the Rider's next move was. An impatient Krogen swiped the set off the desk and slammed his fist on the table. Ryker unsheathed his sword to deal with a threat to his little brother's life.
"The deal was that I would get Drago dragons in exchange that he leaves dragons for me to hunt and sell. But when you came here, my entire operation has been burned to the ground, lost dozens of ships, hundreds of dragons, and on top of all that, your Flyers cost me time." Viggo replied as he stood up staring down the man in the eyes. "My men did what they were ordered, but you keep letting the Riders slip through your hands."
"If we can't get the King of Dragons then Drago will have your head." Krogan said before leaving the Grimborn brothers alone.
"How long do we have to work with him?" Ryker asked as he put his blade away while Viggo picked up his Maces and Talons.
"Not long. All we need is the Dragon Eye and the Titan Wing Dramillion. Then we'll be done with Krogan and Drago for the time being." Viggo answered as he set his game back up thinking of new plans.
Next Day
Hiccup tracked down a Hunter ship that fled a battle the day before with Katla following close behind. This was going to be the last ship they hit before resting for a day to catch up on sleep and unwind. But until then the two Riders followed the ship's tail, hoping to find it. Hiccup was about to cancel the search until he saw the ship sailing in the distance. Toothless and Sparkle fired several blasts at the ship putting holes in the rear hull. Then the two Riders split away heading back to the Edge.
Later That Day
Hiccup layed on his bed from exhaustion. Toothless fell asleep in his corner of the hut and soon Hiccup fell into a slumber. As he slept, he dreamed of his home. Berk. But there were dragons flying in the skies. Not attacking but the villagers riding them. Stoick the Vast was on a Rumblehorn, Gobber in the forge with a Gronckle, and Hiccup and Toothless souring the sky together. Free on Berk. The Twins were causing mayhem with a Hideous Zippleback, Snoutlout and Fishlegs racing their Monstrous Nightmare and Gronckle, and Astrid was on a Deadly Nadder flying next to Hiccup. A dream that made life on Berk amazing. But it was only a dream for young Hiccup. A beautiful dream.
Three Days Later
Ryker Grimborn was inside of the metal ship attached to the Shellfire dragon. Hammers banged against the metal and the Shellfire opened its mouth. A Plasma Fireball went flying into the Defenders of the Wing village. Causing a distraction for Viggo and the Flyers to reach the volcano. The Hunter hoped his brother could get the Eye so they can sail to Dramillion Island and be down with Krogan. Another blast from the Shellfire detonated near the village in the woods. Marking more destruction.
Viggo was lowered down the volcano searching for the Eye in a sealed metal bucket of sorts. Krogan was the one lowering the chain down. As the Hunter searched the edge of the pool, he wondered if the Eye sank to the depths of the lava pool. But then he saw the glimmer of the lens near a rocky edge. But it was about to be covered in the rising lava. Viggo signaled where it is and the Flyer guided him to the edge. Using grapplers, he was able to bring the hot Dragon Eye into the sealed metal canister. Krogan lifted Viggo out of the volcano and raced to the ships.
One Day Later
Hiccup and the Riders arrived at the Defenders of the Wing, he saw the woods nearly burned down and the village huts, exposed. There was nothing that could do this, which means that the Hunters had something new. But what worried Hiccup the most was that they just fired Fire Bombs before leaving just like that. Just causing random destruction. In the back of his mind, he thought of the Dragon Eye. If Viggo somehow got the Eye back, the Riders are going have to go and chase down the Hunters once more, before they get the key to the King of Dragons.
Elsewhere
Viggo watched as Krogan checked the chains on the Singetail. The Hunter held the Dragon Eye in his left hand, refusing to let it out of his sight. He knew the Riders would have gotten to the Defenders of the Wing and will be chasing them soon, but the Flyers were going to be the distraction they need for the Hunters to catch the Dramillion. Then once the dragon glows it's unique fire breath showing the map to the King of Dragons. Then Krogan and his Flyers were alone with the capture of the Dragon. The Hunters will distract the Riders, but that will be the end of their business. Until Drago asks for more dragons for his army.
