Dolores watched as Mirabel approached Mariano.

" Hey, Mariano, why so blue?" Mirabel asked.

" I just have so much love inside," Mariano answered.

" You know I have this cousin too. Have you met Dolores?"

Dolores popped up out of nowhere. Now was her chance. She was scared, but she had to do it. She couldn't risk him finding someone else.

" Okay, I'll take it from here, goodbye."

She didn't mean to shove Mirabel so hard. She just was excited and nervous. She had waited for this moment for a while. Hopefully it will go how she'd always dreamed it would.

" You talk so loud. You take care of your mother and you make her proud. You write poetry every night when you go to sleep. And I'm seizing the moment, so will you wake up and notice me?"

Dolores panted. Her breathing was heavy. Mariano's eyes lit up. Dolores felt a glint of hope. Had she done it?

" Dolores…"

" Yes…?"

" I see you."

" And I hear you. Does that mean?"

" Let's get married."

" Slow down."

" Yes!" Isabela and Mirabel cheered, giving each other a high five.

Dolores mouthed thank you. Mirabel nodded. Dolores looked at Isabela, who never looked happier. She wished she had known Isabela didn't love or want to marry Mariano. If she did, she would have lied and said Mariano wanted five babies.

" Hmph," she squeaked with a shrug.
