"Orianna, it's okay!"
I screamed kicking in the direction of the voice, I hit something and the voice groaned.
"Or-" The voice coughed, "Orianna it's me! I'm sorry for turning you off! I had panicked."
Firm hands grabbed my- those arms, I tried to break free of whoever was grabbing me, but they held strong. They lifted me up and I saw the familiar half face of Miss Missy, a few people dressed like Mr. Ethan holding me and keeping me from struggling. "L-let me go!" I cried trying to kick at the people holding me but my legs couldn't reach.
"They will, I just need you to calm down," Miss Missy said making a motion like she was trying to push down something unseen, "I'm sorry for turning you off again, what I did was stupid and I'm very very sorry. The only way we can turn you on is face down."
Looking up at her I whimpered, "Really?"
"Really," Miss Missy said, she looked like she was really sad, her voice sounding droopy, if that made sense, "I am, so so sorry."
I calmed down a bit, the enforcers let go of those arms. Now that I looked around the room we seemed to be in some kind of doctor's office, kind of like the one daddy used when he did this to me. I think Miss Missy noticed how uncomfortable I was, she set a hand on my shoulder, "Come on, how about I show you around. Afterward, there are a few people that would like to talk to you if that's alright with you."
I nodded, making a small sound, "Okay," Miss Missy made a sad sound at my response but still helped me off of the table- no, she helped me off the bed. Yeah, it was a bed, not a table. Not a table.
Not a table.
Was this another distraction?
Miss Missy was good at distractions.
Apparently, we were in the infirmary, a fancy word for a doctor's office. When she lead me out into the hallway it was clear that this place was different. Instead of painted metal walls they were made of some weird hard substance, it looked like marble but apparently wasn't. When I asked Miss Missy she said she didn't know exactly what it was but she knew it wasn't marble.
Was it like the matter recombobulators? They used those a lot in Piltover and Zaun, but in Zaun, they had a tendency to explode, I asked her about it and she looked at me funny but ultimately said they didn't have any matter recombobulators.
The walls were much more colorful, white was all sorts of colors painted on the walls, with sayings on the walls. Apparently, they were words and stuff, they did not look like the normal Noxian alphabet. Apparently, it was called In-Glish, I tried to argue with her that no, we are speaking Demasian. She was very adamant that we were speaking In-Glish, eventually, I dropped it seeing a poster on the wall.
The poster had Miss Missy on it, posing with her gun with her name at the bottom. I looked up at her in horror, edging away.
"What's wrong?" She asked reaching towards me, stopping when I flinched away.
Did she not know? "Y-you're on a wanted poster!" I exclaimed pointing at the poster, only for her to chuckle.
"No, no, no. That's a poster but not a wanted poster," She said chuckling, "I am the Miss Militia after all. I'm a superhero!"
Superhero? "Like Jayce? He's kinda lame," I said while looking at the poster, realizing what I said I quickly added, "I-I don't think your lame Miss Missy!"
She chuckled again, "No worries Orianna, how about we get you some foo- shiiiooot. Shoot… do you think you need to eat?"
I shook my head, "I- Should I be hungry?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.
Miss Missy shook her head, "No, you don't need to be. I'm supposed to be distracting you for a few hours as they set up a room for you to stay in."
"A room?"
"Yeah, somewhere where you sleep. Somewhere fo-"
"I know what a room is," I mumbled, "I mean like, where?"
Miss Missy chuckled, "Oh! It's only going to be temporary but it's getting installed in the Wards Headquarters, so you can be around other kids your age."
Other kids? Really? "You'd allow me to be around other kids?" I asked, making sure she wasn't trying to trick me, "Daddy said other kids would ruin my beauty." Belatedly I realized it was probably because I had been turned into this thing.
"No, Orianna you're beautiful," Miss Missy tried to say but I knew it was a lie, there would be no other reason for her to be with the other kids, "It's natural for people to be social, actually, how about I introduce you to one of the Wards?"
"You keep saying Ward, what's that?" I asked as we started walking again, there were more posters. Was this some kind of enforcer office? No, Miss Missy said that they were superheroes, although one I kept seeing was definitely a wanted poster. The person on it looked just like the armored man and Miss Missy looked at me whenever we passed one.
"The Wards are like junior superheroes, it lets them learn to use their powers in a safe environment," Miss Missy explained.
"Like a magic academy?"
Miss Missy chuckled a little at that, what was so funny? "No, not a magic academy, although powers are kind of like magic."
"Aren't they the same?"
"No… with powers you only have one ability, or a bunch of weaker abilities," She raised her hand, the knife at her hip swirling into green energy and forming into a hand cannon in her hand before turning back into the knife, "Like that."
"That's just magic."
"No it's- Oh look we're here!" Miss Missy announced motioning to a door, which she opened for me. Inside was the same enforcer in the stylized clock armor, his hand resting on the ball. Now that I had a better look it did look just like this body. Although now the eye wasn't glowing blue.
"Oh! Hey Em Em!" He said with a wave, looking up from the glowing plate in his hands.
"Hello Clockblocker," Miss Missy greeted with a wave, which I copied, "Orianna I'd like you to meet Clockblocker, he is a current member of the Wards."
"Nice to meet you Ori!" Clockblocker said sticking a hand out to shake, I only drew these hands close to my chest.
"You have a weird name," I decided to say, getting a laugh from Clockblocker.
"Yeah, PR wanted to give me some lame name so I kinda just blurted my current one out," He said with a smile, "It got them piiiii- angry, it get them angry."
"You mean got?"
"Yeah, that," He said with a thumbs up, before slapping the still ball, "So… are you going to be a Ward? I bet Vista would be happy to have another girl around,"
"But… I don't know magic," I tried to explain.
Clockblocker only laughed, "Magic isn't real! Do you mean powers?"
"Wha- Yes it is! Why do you think I'm an automaton?! And- and the Hextech doors!" As a citizen of Piltover, I couldn't let this strange child enforcer insult Hextech like that, the lifeblood of my hometown!
Almost like she sensed my agitation Miss Missy put a hand on my shoulder, making me flinch away, "I think that's enough for now, I actually do want to speak with you for a moment Clockblocker if that's alright."
"Okay, uh, what about the ball thingy?" He asked, motioning to the "thing", that's Hextech thank you very much!
"Orianna, Clockblocker, and I are going to be just outside the door, if you need anything or the ball starts moving again come and get us, alright?" I nodded in response.
Of course, being curious I approached the door to try and listen through it. Only for Miss Missy to open it slightly, "It's not polite to listen to other people's conversations," she chastised.
"S-sorry!" I squeaked, deciding to make my way over to the chair Clockblocker had been sitting it. Only to find out I couldn't due to the key in my back.
I hate you, Daddy.
