"Pepa, you have a cloud," was all she heard that week. No matter how hard Pepa tried, she couldn't send the cloud away. Maybe it was the stress of planning Dolores's engagement dinner. However, the entire family was pitching in. She had been sent to her room to calm down the day before.

The door opened. Camilo Madrigal came in holding a plate. "Tia Julieta sent me to bring you lunch," Camilo explained.

"Thank you, mijo," Pepa said. He handed her the plate. "I don't know what's gotten into me this week. I've tried everything."

"Take as much time as you need, mami," Camilo said. There was a loud thud in Isabela's room. No doubt she was experimenting with new plants. That's what she was usually up to these days. However, the noise startled Pepa. She accidentally hit Camilo with a lighting bolt to the eye.

"Sorry," Isabela called.

"Mijo, your eye," Pepa said.

"Oh," Camilo said. He turned around to the nearest mirror. The area around his eye was slightly burnt. "It's nothing. I'm sure one of tia's arepa con queso can't fix. It's nothing to stress over."

"You should go," Pepa instructed. "I'm not safe to be around right now. Look at your eye"

"Mami, I am perfectly fine," Camilo said. "Do you want me to get papi?"

Apart of her wanted her husband. He always knew how to calm her down. However, she didn't think it was safe to be around anyone at the moment. "No thank you," Pepa whispered.

"Get me if you need anything," Camilo said. What set off the second bolt was still a mystery to Pepa. This one was larger than the other one. She doesn't think she'll ever unhear Camilo's scream in agony. He stumbled into the wall. Yet, he refused to let her see the extent of the damage done to his face.

"Camilo," she yelled. There was no response.
