The trio arrived at the cabin. Isabela was the one to knock on the door. Sophia opened the door. "Who are you, and what do you want?" Sophia asked. She thought only the people she invited into her house were allowed in. That's why she was never found. She'd have to run again.
"Hello, I'm Dolores," Dolores introduced. "These are my cousins, Luisa and Isabela. We're looking for my mami. Her name is Pepa. We were told that she might be here."
"Pepa, come over here," Sophia called. Pepa walked over to the doorway. The cloud above her head began to rumble again. They weren't supposed to be here. She didn't want to hurt someone else she loved. "Do you know these people?"
"This is mi familia," Pepa said. "I thought I made it clear I didn't wanna be followed."
"You need to come home," Dolores said. Memories flashed in Pepa's mind. Camilo clutching his face. Luisa had to carry him to Julieta's room due to the pain being paralyzing. What felt like the entire town watching her as she left the Encanto. The cloud above her head was getting bigger. "I don't want you to hurt you guys. I've already done enough damage."
"Mom, Milo is fine," Dolores said. "We talked to him right before we left."
"You need to leave," Pepa said firmly. "I'm not safe to be around. I should leave now."
"No, you should stay," Sophia said. "Can you three please leave? You're making her anxious."
A flash of lightning struck. It didn't hit anyone. It was close to hitting Luisa. It missed her by a few meters. Pepa stormed out of the house. There was a miniature hurricane above her head. Dolores cuffed her hands over her ears. "Mama, come back," Dolores yelled.
"I'm a monster," Pepa screamed as she got deeper into the woods.
