Hello everybody! its been a while hasn't it. almost 2 years since I've even uploaded a chapter for any of my other stories. well I got something for ya'll. I'm going to be putting those stories on hold for now, I really just want to write what I feel when I feel. I have a busy schedule so I don't really have a set time to release, but I'm looking at a three week split per chapter, may change, don't know. anyway enough of my blabbing, on to the chapter. here we go! I do not own anything other than the story line, for the most part.

'Thoughts'

Tears welled up into his eyes as he stared at the piece of paper once again in his hands. Looking over it in for at least the tenth time, hoping that it was all just a mistake. Hoping with everything he had left in his life that he hadn't just disappointed his idol, disappointed himself. Looking through it again to see if this was a fake. He was searching for anything.

Dear Izuku Midoriya,

Thank you for applying and taking our entrance exam to our prestigious hero school. Over many hours of deliberation and careful analysis of your footage from the practical and test from your written exams from the entrance exam itself. We unfortunately cannot accept you into the hero course next year. However, if you're still interested in out institution we will gladly enroll you into the general studies course. If you are please reach out to us at our student admissions office at 867-937-0998

Very Respectfully,

Principle Nezu

He had failed, again. And again, his whole life has been just one giant failure. No matter what he's done. His quirk, basically none existent. His physique, don't even get his started, he's not even close. His confidence, that's something that's not even on the radar. Maybe in the end we was just a stupid Deku like Kaachan said

'Why, Why, Why… why do I always fail? Why can't I do anything?' He thought

With the tears continue to brim in his eyes in his dark room. The door creaks open as his mother Inko Midoriya, a happily plump woman who through the years has lost her once slim figure, peeks in. After by accidently crushing her son's dreams years ago, she's been trying her best to try and push her son to be what he wants. However she never knew what to say. However one day almost a year ago now he came back with the fire lighted up in his eyes and a dream to once again be a hero burning even brighter in her soul.

Now staring at the young man in front of her sitting in the dark room all she could do is tear up. Him sitting there clutching the paper as if he's having the worst nightmare in the entire world. Tears spilling off his cheeks in waves that shouldn't even be possible, but this was how the two of them cried.

She slowly pushed the door open even more and made her way slowly. Coming up to her baby boy.

"You made it?" she asked hesitantly. Trying to get a peek at the paper that was trembling in his hands. She heard a choke of a sound that came from his mouth as he tried to give her and answer. Tears were streaming down his face. As much as she feared what the answer to that question was, she wouldn't believe anything till she heard it from his lips.

"N… N… ." she heard him say shakily as the tears fell from his cheeks. She looked at him as tears welled in her eyes staring down at the young boy that she knew his dream was once again pulled from right underneath him. He was already tittering on the edge, now there was nothing. She looked directly at her son as he started to whimper before she watched the water works fall.

Almost immediately her waterworks followed and they started to flood the entire hallway outside of his room with the amount of tears that streamed from their eyes. It would almost be comical if it wasn't for the reason. As the two of them cried, a soft buzz from Izuku's phone pulled the both of them from their tears.

Inko watches as Izuku pulls away with tears still in his eyes pulled away from the hug to grab his phone from his desk. His phone set next to a stack of his newly finished hero analysis books, No. 17-24, he had continued writing those in his spare time, compiling and analyzing as many quirks as he could. He had shown one of them to his trainer and let's say that he was surprised. He encouraged him to continue to write these because no matter what they would be useful for him, so he knows the quirks of his teammates and possible his enemies. Inko was astatic when she heard about this.

She waited patiently as he picked up his phone and tapped his finger on the screen. She noticed the small look of shock that morphed over the entirety of his face. She watched him mouth the words before turning to her.

"My trainer wants to meet me at Dagoba at eight tonight, saying something about have something important we need to talk about." Izuku explained. Tears started to well up into his eyes as he said that. Inko could only hold back a soft choke of a sob.

The boy she looked at slowly grew paler as he started to go into his own thoughts. After just a few seconds she could hear the soft muttering that comes from the boy's mouth. The tears once agina not able to be held back by hi eyes fell down his cheeks. She could see that he was worrying over what his mentor wanted with him. He looks terrified more than he's ever been in his life was how it looks.

"Izuku, what's wrong? Also you're muttering again" she asked. He went from being sad to being terrified in the span of just a few seconds after picking up his phone. He looked up at her and blushed slightly despite the tears and bloodshot eyes of his. She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes. She knew that she had to be strong right now, for him. He needed to know she would be relied on right now. She had failed him once in the past, she would not do it again.

Inko looked on as her son as he seemed to start staring off into space. Then she watched as sweat start to poor off the poor boy. He opened his mouth to say something but he stopped himself and looked to be thinking. It took a moment of silence for him to finally say something to her.

"Mom…" he started as he looked up with her with a soft sigh. Wiping the last of the tears from his eyes. He turned to his bed as he took a seat. Sliding his hand over it.

"Yes Izuku?" his mother asked as she took another step forward.

"I haven't been one hundred percent truthful with you about what I've been doing the last ten months." He started "you might want to take a seat." He said as he gestured to his chair from where he sat on the bed. "It's a long story." He said with a soft chuckle, not lightening the mood at all.

"What's this all about Izuku?" she asked. "You're starting to scare me." She took a seat in the chair as he took another deep breath. Silence permeated in the air as he said nothing.

"Okay, Izuku, speak." She said in a stern motherly tone. A small smile graced his lips as she did. "What do you mean?"

"What I mean mom is what I said." He said with a slight huff. "You know how there was that article in the news a like 4 months ago? About Dagoba beach slowly being cleaned up? They say no one ever saw people there cleaning but trash was still disappearing slowly but surely?" he asked his mother.

"Yes I remember I read through the entire article. They said that sometime they heard noises early in the morning and night sometimes as trash would slowly start to clear up. Why did you as….." she never finished her sentence as her brain connected the dots for what he was trying to get at.

"It was you" she said with a slightly awed look on her face from what she just figured out. "You cleaned that entire beach all by yourself? Izuku, that's dangerous, you could have gotten injured. A single cut from a piece of metal could have given you tetanus. You could have broken bones." And there she goes just like Izuku does, into a muttering storm. No wonder he mutters so much. A soft laugh from him cut her off.

"Don't worry mom, I wasn't alone." He said "I think I should start from the beginning of the story though, so you know everything." And with that he went out to this long winded story of how he and All Might met, All Might telling him he can't be a hero, His fight with the sludge Villain and All Might telling him he could be a hero. Everything that happened since then just flowed out to his mother. He laid everything out on to the proverbial table for her to see.

In the span of just a little under 2 hours he had told her everything that had happened. Through it she reacts with emotions of all kinds that flashes across her face. From scared when he was attacked, to angry and sad when he was denied originally by All Might. After he had finished he looked at his mother she just opened her second box of tissues. She was wiping a bit of snot from her nose as she looked up at him with tears in her eyes.

"Izuku, my beautiful boy, I want to say I'm sorry." She said

Izuku looked surprised when Inko said that. Confused as he was about to go and say something she held up her hand.

"I'm sorry Izuku for not being the supporting mother I should have. When you got your broken quirk I just didn't know what to do nor how to help you." She said as she remembered the day she nearly destroyed her sons dreams.

She had just gotten a call at work from the kindergarten school her sons goes to. Her son had just burped up a little bit of green fire during lunch. Almost immediately after that she heard her son went around running trying to do it again. However he was unable and started crying. She had asked her boss for the rest of the day off and she had said yes.

She jumped into her car and had rushed to the school to pick her son up. Immediately after pulling into the parking lot and parking her car she hurried into the school past the front desk to the nurse's office.

There she found her son crying while holding his bandaged knee. Supposedly he had fallen after they had gotten off the phone and scrapped his knee. She got there and went to her knees and hugged her son.

"It's going to be ok Izuku! You got your Quirk!" she exclaimed "You've been so excited to get your Quirk haven't you?" she asked as she saw her son start to sniffle and the slightest hint of a smile appearing on his face.

"Ye... Yeah." He says almost excitedly. "But… I was only able to do it once. Kaachan's Quirk worked almost immediately." He said as he looked down at the ground with a bit of a dejected voice. Inko's hand went and softly lifted Izuku's head up to look at her.

"It's going to be alright Izuku, everyone has trouble with their Quirk in the beginning. Ok, it's going to be alright." She reassured with an 'All Might' style smile on her face. "You'll be able to go Plus Ultra soon enough and be able to stop all the bad guys!" she said with a little jump as she picked up her son. The tear disappearing from his eyes and the biggest smile spreading across his lips. "Everything going to be fine!" she said "Now with me…" She took a second for a dramatic pause.

"PPPPLLLLLUUUUSSSSS UUUULLLLTTTTRRRAAA!" The both of then yelled as they both turned to leave the nurses office. The teachers looked at the littler interaction between mother and son with fondness before the head teacher stopped them, and asked where they were going.

With a chuckle and a bit more paperwork Inko was able to get her baby boy out of school and to the closest hospital with a Quirk specialist. The drive over was quick, but the wait for the doctor took almost an hour and a half before they were able to see the doctor

However the moment they took a step through the door for the doctor everything became not fine. Everything was far from fine. Sitting in front of her was Dr. Daruma Ujiko the closest Quirk Specialist in the area. A short plump man with a bald head and circular glasses that covered both his eyes. He was looking at the two of them without a care in the world.

"I'd just give up kid, it's not going to happen." The old doctor said as he leaned on the edge of his chair. "What he did was the best he's going to do. There was a research study from the beginning of quirks that found a correlation between having a quirk and the second joint in your pinky toe."

He paused for a moment to rummage through all the papers that he has on his desk. "It's supposed to mean that the body is a more streamlined version of the human body so it can hold the quirk." Pulling out an x-ray of her child's foot and sticks it to the wall.

"As you can see here." He taps the second joint in the pinky toe. "He has the second joint. Meaning that the burp of fire was the best he's going to get for anything with a quirk. The fact he was able to even have something like that happen is a miracle in and of itself."

With that the world shattered around both of them. After a quick discharge from the hospital, with a copy of all his medical records, and an immediate ride home, Inko was preparing a large dinner for her son. He hadn't spoken a single word since he's heard those words from the doctor. He's looked dead into the space in front of him. The moment he got home he's requested to watch the All Might debut video that he's watched over a thousand times himself on repeat. She had just come in to check on him when she heard the sniffling.

She had the door half open as she heard the sniggling become louder. Stepping past the threshold of the door into the room she could see the puddle of tears on the ground.

"Izuku…" she started and left the rest of what she was going to say in the back of her throat as she saw her son slowly spin the chair around and look at her with tears streaming down his face.

"M—my dream was to b-become like All Might, Mom." The tears started to pool in her own eyes as she heard the soft 'I AM HERE' from the computer "No m-matter whaa-a-a-t I want t-to S-s-smile like A-All M-Might, making s-sure everything's a-a-all right!" he said with a strained smile with tears streaming down his red cheeks. His eyes bloodshot from all the crying he's been doing. Tears started to fall down her cheeks as well.

"I-I-I c-c-can s-still be a-a-a hh-hero, Mm-mom?" the young boy looked at her desperately, looking for something. With that look the full on waterworks fell from her eyes and she quickly crossed the room and clutched the crying boy in her arms.

"I'm so sorry Izuku." She started "I wish things could be different" she said. Hugging her son. She felt the boy relax in her arms. They stayed like that silently as the All Might Video played softly in the background. With that they went and ate a large katsudon dinner and went to bed.

It wasn't until the next day she truly realized what she said, and she felt horrible about it. However when she saw her son she saw that he was acting as if nothing was any different. So, hoping nothing would change she didn't act on it and waited to see what happens, at least that what she told herself.

"And too this day I still regret what I said and the fact I never tried to fix it." She said with tears streaming down her cheeks as she told the story. At this point she has moved to the bed to hug Izuku, who wasn't looking any better. "I was never the most perfect mom in the world. I definitely had some problems, but it's what I never said to you after because I was too much of a coward to say. I never told you like a supporting mother should." She said with a determined face. A soft smile graced her lips as she looked at her son. "Izuku Midoriya, I know it's well past its due but I must say this with my own mouth for you and I to hear!"

"You Can Be a Hero!" she said with a determined face. "Yes you may not have gotten into UA like you wanted, but that is their loss." She said. "There are plenty of schools in the prefecture and in the country who would take you in an instance. You have the strength, mind, wits, and instincts to be the no.1 hero someday. All you need is a chance." She said, slightly out of breath. She was looking directly into the eyes of her son. Showing him that she means every word she had just said. The soft smile has turned into a full on smile at this point. She could see the shocked expression on her son's face.

She watches as the tears slowly start to pool into his eyes as he reaches around her and hugs her tight. Hearing soft thank you coming from him as he just sits there's and cries into her. She wraps her arms around him in reassurance. She had a moment to look at the wall to see that the clock that hung from it.

7:54pm

Her eyes widened as she read the time one more time.

"Oh! Izuku you have to get going! You're going to be late!" she said with a scramble as she pushed him away from her. He looked at her for a moment before his eyes widened. He looked shocked for a moment before he jolted up and started to run out of his room to his front door. That's when the voice of his mother stopped him.

"Izuku you can't go out like that, there are wet spots all over your shirt!" he turned to her slowly then looked down at his shirt and blushed. The entire shirt was soaked completely through. He blushed softly as he ran back into the room and softly pushes her out of the room too.

"Mom you should also change, you're coming with me." He says through the door. "From now on you are going to know just as much as me. So I want you there so you know everything." With that she could hear him start rummaging through his room to find a t-shirt to wear.

She looked down at her own shirt which had its own dark spots from where she had let tears fall on it and where her son had cried into it. She took a deep breath before she started on her way to her room to change.

After a few short minutes they were both changed and on their way to the beach where her son's fate will be decided. She could feel the tension form him as she got into the car with him.

Izuku was sweating as his mom pulled the car into the parking lot of the beach. Seeing All Might's truck sitting there and a few other cars parked next to it. He could only think of the bad things that could happen from this, some of them were a little… ridiculous.

'What if wants the quirk back? What if he's going to never want to talk with me ever again? What if he'll… Kill me? Those other cars could be his goons to make sure no one finds the body?" with that he went on to a mumbling and ranting softly as his mother looks at him with a sweat drop.

"Sweetie, he won't do any of that if he's even a quarter of the man he's been to you in the last ten months." She said as he looked at her. His muttering stops and he takes a deep breath.

"Your right Mom." He says. "I'm just nervous. I failed him, and myself by not passing this entrance exam. It's been affecting how I think." He says with a slightly dejected. He feels a soft hand lay on his shoulder causing him to look up at his mom.

"It's going to be okay alright Izuku!" she said with a big smile on her lips. "I know it will be, you just have to go in with you head held high Izuku!" she said with a smile. That smile slowly started to spread a warmth through him. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

"Your right mom, I have no need to be worried at all." He said with a determined face. Tears still at the corner of his eyes but his face set with his emotions steeled. He unbuckled and opened the door. He watched as his mother follow his lead. The sun slowly starting to sink into the distance. The soft crashing of the waves against the soft sand was heard all around. The fully clear beach of trash. Having just been finished up recently, the beach being sparsely populated due to that reason, and for the current time of night.

Walking down to the beach, Izuku came to a view he was not ready for. There he found not just All Might. No, No, No. He found, All Might standing there in his full muscle form and flanked on both sides by four more people. On his right side was a short old man with greying hair and in full hero costume and cane. Consisting of a white one piece suit and with yellow highlights and a scarf wrapped around his neck and large yellow boots and gloves. A black mask finished off the costume.

Next to him was an older lady that was just as short. Immediately he knew who she was. It was Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl! The last time he saw her was at the entrance exam after he had punched the Zero-Pointer. The short lady had her greying hair tied back into a bun with a syringe stuck through it. A visor covered her eyes and ears on her weathered features. The white, red and yellow body suit is covered by her white lab coat. Her pink boots were accompanied by a large syringe shaped cane. She was standing there with a soft smile on her face.

To All Might's left was a short, bear-mouse-dog thing. It took a moment to realize that is was the Pro hero Nezu! The Principle of UA, and one of the smartest heroes ever! He stood there with a soft smile on his muzzle. Wearing a black vest over a white shirt and tie. His hands behind his back with his tail waving behind him slowly back and forth. His back pants and brown work shoes finished off his look.

A small bit of distain came when he saw the small creature. He was the one who signed off on his denial to UA's Hero course. He almost missed the slight drop on the principles face when he saw the distain pass over his face. Almost.

The scruffy tired looking man next to Nezu has him bouncing in his shoes. Many would not know of him due to his disdain for the media but standing there, capture tape and all, was Shoto Aizawa or Eraserhead. One of his favorite heroes. The tall scruffy man with long black hair and blood shot eyes. His fully black outfit fitted well with his underground hero vibe. If you could put one word to label this man though it would be scruffy. Everything about him is. However he knew that he is more than just that, he is a master at many thing such as capture and hand to hand combat. He is the epitome of an under-rated hero.

Sparkles started to appear in his eyes as he stared at the group of heroes in front of him. He basically disappeared and reappeared in front of Aizawa with a notebook in hand that came out of nowhere.

"Can I get your autograph ? I've been a fan of yours for years! I have so many qestions? Have you ever…" before he could even get off another question he froze as he felt the killer intent coming off the than in question. His eyes started to glow and he looked as if he couldn't stand.

"Mr. Aizawa, could you please not try and harm a young boy?" the soft voice from the far side of the group. He looked over to recovery girl looking at the tired man with a raised eyebrow. "You just met the boy, how can you want to kill him already." She said with a soft chuckle.

The man in front of him looked down at him before sighing softly. He looked at the book in his hands and shook his head.

"Maybe kid, just maybe. We'll have to see soon." He said as he turned to All Might as All Might took a step forward towards Izuku.

"Young Midoriya, Its good to see you well and healthy." He started as his smile falters ever so slightly. "I hope that you have been doing well this last week young man. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to contact you, there has been a lot of paperwork to complete. I've come here with some of my compatriots because of what happened at UA. You unfortunately were not able to get into the school, and…" he was about to finish before he looked at the young man in front of him.

"I know I failed alright All Might!" he blurted out before he could finish. Tears were already starting to appear in his eyes. He was starting to shake.

"I failed once again at being what I wanted. Having a failed Quirk, not being any use to anyone in a fight. Not even getting one point on the practical. Barely passing the written exam. I failed myself, but more importantly I failed you All Might. SO WHAT DO YOU WANT! ARE YOU ALL HERE TO LAUGH AT ME AND JUST RUN, LEAVE ME BEHIND! HUH, YOU WANT YOUR QUIRK BACK? WANT ME JUST… JUST… just" the words leaving his mouth before he could even stop them. Tears falling down his cheeks. He thought he had finished with the water works for the day. He thought he had hardened his emotions, but no it seems no matter what he will always be a weak willed Deku.

He could hear the concerned voice of his mother in the background as turned his head down. Tears falling and snot dribbling off his face. He hates himself in that moment. He was truly playing into what Kaachan wat calling him, a Deku, a useless thing.

"Maybe I should have just jumped, I would have been better dead." He said softly a cried sob from behind him he knew was his mothers. He hadn't told her about what Kaac- no, Bakugo had said to him. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head up and was surprised who stood in front of him. Standing there was Eraserhead looking at him with concern in his eyes. The man slowly came to his knees and looked the boy dead in his eyes.

"Kid, who said that to you." He asked in a soft voice. His eyes looking at him with more softness then anyone but his mom has looked at him like. Izuku opened his mouth but nothing came out. He tried to say something but nothing was coming out. Aizawa looked at him and sighed before standing up.

"it's okay not to say anything here, but kid you need to go get some help." He said with a look in his eye. He slowly stood up and turned away to look at the frozen All Might. After just a few short minutes All Might slowly unfroze and shook his head.

"Izuku." He said as he looked at the sad boy, this being one of the only times that he's called him by his name. "Yes you failed the entrance exam, however." He stopped for a moment. "You didn't fail me. Not even close. You impressed me with how well you took to this power. How you were able to harness it and defeat such a large and powerful villain. And that's another thing. You didn't get 0 points. There was another part of the exam that people didn't know about. We wouldn't be a hero school if we didn't reward people for doing heroic acts. So we had another set of points, Rescue Points!" he exclaimed to him as he stopped for a moment.

Izuku looked at him as he stood there in the sand. He was confused.

"So you had these Rescue Points, what's that got to do with me?" he asked the giant of a man.

"Well young man, despite not actually saving anyone from the faux villain that was the 0-pointer. You still took it down, per say saving the people around it and the surrounding buildings! As such you were rewarded with 10 Rescue Points!" he ended with his fist shooting into the air. Pose's in his triumphed pose he always does at the end of a tough fight.

"So… how does this help me, I still got the rejection letter." Izuku said with a slight deadpan face at All Might. The no.1 hero faltered ever so slightly. A sweat drop appeared on his head as he started to sweat profusely.

"I'll take it from here." The bear mouse dog thing said. "It's me, Nezu, the one who could be a dog or a mouse or a bear, but more importantly... I'm the principal of UA!" He said with an arm in the air. He came up the downed boy who was looking at him with confusion.

"Why are you here?" Izuku asked immediately.

"Why you ask" he said as he take face to face with Izuku. "Well I'm here for the young man who destroyed a 0-pointer with a single punch. And the boy whose quirk analysis is on another level. Some of the things you've theorized in the one book I was able to look into were insane." Nezu said to the boy.

"Wait how do you know about my Quirk Analysis books?" he asked Nezu. The tears wiped from his eyes as he stood up and looked down on the short mammal.

"You never told him did you?" The short mammal side eyed the ever shrinking form of All Might.

"It may have slipped my mind ever so slightly." He said as he tried to look away from the two people in front of him. He heard a snort from behind him.

"That's why you wanted to borrow one of my hero analysis books!" Midoriya exclaimed from where he was standing. "No wonder it took so long to get back to me!" he looked over at Nezu. "He gave it to you?"

"Yes he did and my, my. Some of the things that I read about some of the heroes in there are insane. There are questions and theories that I wouldn't have even thought of, even with my quirk. Also to my surprise I find a section of pages about Eraserhead and everything about him. Did you know that he's never once thought about trying to activate his quirk while looking through a mirror, or the max distance he could erase someone quirks at?" Nezu said as we started to pace.

"With these little discoveries we decided to test them, and you know what's crazy? Your approximations about every question and theories about how his quirk works, are correct." The small mammal stopped in front of him and looked him directly in the eyes once again.

"Not many know this but I distain a lot of the human race for what a few have done to me when I was young. However you, Izuku Midoriya, have shown me you are someone I can get behind. However, before I ask you a question I have for you, Mr. Aizawa has a test for you." He finished off and turned and walked over to the scruffy man dressed in black. The man huffed slightly as he took a step forward. A ball appeared in the man's hand. He tosses it in his hand before tossing it to Izuku.

"Kid, I want you to throw this ball as far as you can using that quirk of yours." He said pointing out to the ocean. Pulling out a small tablet with numbers on it. "This will tell me how far you throw the ball. You can throw whenever." He said lazily as he finish sighs as Izuku looks at the ball in his hand. "Also just saying, this throw is what's going to decide your future." He said uncaringly.

With that said Izuku started sweating. He was nervous.

'This next throw would decide his fate from now on. In what way? As if he's going to UA? How he's going to be a hero at all? If he's going to keep the Quirk All Might gave him?' and the muttering came once again to him. All of the other people standing near him on the beach all looked at him like he was crazy. Aizawa was starting to get irritated.

"Midoriya, we can stand here all night but no one's going to throw the ball but you." He said with another huff. Midoriya jumped ever so slightly and the ball flew up from his hands. He was shaking when the ball came back down and bounced off his head. This jerked him out of his muttering and grabbed the ball from the air before it could hit the ground again. He took a deep breath and looked out over the darkening ocean in front of him. The sun just barely peaking over the edge. He looked at it with a determined look on his face. Taking another deep breath he drew his arm back and took a step forward to throw the ball.

Activating his quirk the only was he knew how, at 100%. The veins started to spear on his arms and he could feel the strain on his arm as he followed through with the throw. However as he was reaching the best point to release the ball he felt his quirk disappear and before he could think anything of it the ball was out of his hands. After a few second a there was a soft beep from the tablet that was now in Aizawa's pocket.

Izuku turned his head to look at the man. Standing there with a grim line on his lips was Aizawa with his hair floating and his eyes gleaming red.

"Midoriya." He said his name with an even tone, not revealing any emotions. "Were you about to sacrifice your entire arm for this one pitch? Huh? What if this had been an actual villain fight. One punch then your down an arm, you only have at least three more shots before you're down all your extremities. Your Quirk has no practical application to fight Villains if it damages you this much for just one punch. Now you're just a liability to yourself and your allies. You aren't going to have a healing type quirk like Recovery Girl's. You'll be out of action for months if you keep going like this." he stopped for a moment. Making Izuku think he was done. He was about to open his mouth before Aizawa continued.

"However, think of my surprise when I'm called into my boss's office one day to be asked once question, what I think of the boy who took down the 0-pointer. Well I answered as honestly about you. I didn't like you Midoriya." He said

"Didn't?" Midoriya asked confused.

"Didn't because to my surprise my boss said at that moment was the very first time that he's ever activated his quirk. That he's more than a late bloomer, he's the newest one in a legacy of powerful superheroes against a great evil. This whole long winded story about quirks and where they came from, the dark ages and two quirks from two brothers who've been fighting each other since the dawn. It's all somehow connected to you and All Might. It was then All Might's turn to explain himself. So he did, and the story of you and him, of how you came to acquire this crazy quirk and how you fit into its story." He said as he came up to the boy.

"Now show me Izuku Midoriya, that you are worthy of this second chance. Show me the potential that you have, that you weren't able to show during the Entrance exam!" he exclaimed as he handed him another ball and pointed out to the ocean once again. The short destruction of his confidence then building it back up made him falter slightly as he looked down at the ball. It was then he heard something behind him.

"You can do it Izuku! Show them!" he lifted his head and turned to see his mother smiling at him. "You can do it I believe in you!" she exclaimed.

"Young Midoriya you can do it, I believe in you." All Might said with a wide smile. It was then that he heard something from the back of his head.

"Go for it, We Believe in you!" he heard the voice(s) say. It was a mumble of sounds that seemed to make up those words in the back of his head. With that he turned to the beach with a few tears coming out of his eyes. He brings his hand back once again and takes a confident step forward. He closes his eyes.

'I CAN DO THIS!' he yells in his head as he unconsciously activates his quirk at 100% on his arm. Aizawa was about to erase Izuku's quirk before a large hand landed on his shoulder. He looked up in a quick moment and he saw that All Might was shaking his head. And with a soft mumble.

"It's different this time." As he says that Aizawa turns back just in time for him to see Midoriya release the ball. Everything was silent for half a second before…

*BOOM*

The air in front of Izuku exploded along with the ground. Wind blasted from where Midoriya, was standing as rings of vaporized air formed from the ball as it continues into the sky. All of the heroes were having trouble standing as they were pushed back by the wind from Izuku's throw. Inko was about to be picked up by it before All Might appeared behind her and held her in place. Making sure she wasn't thrown away by the wind. The wind picking up sand and water as it continued to fly off

Slowly the wind started to dissipate and all of them were able to dust off any of the sand that had made its way onto them. Aizawa being the closest had to brush as much of the sand that made its way into his hair. He looked up at the boy once all the sand was gone and he gapped.

'He parted the fucking ocean.' Aizawa thought. Midoriya wasn't even aiming at it but a good 50 ft out the water was slowly coming back into fill in the empty space.

With a huff he looked at Midoriya expecting to see a swollen and red and purple arm but instead there stood Izuku Midoriya with his arm perfectly fine with his shirt torn to pieces. His eyes hazy as if he's looking at an invisible island in the distance. He looked at the young man with a tired sigh. He wasn't thinking that he would do this.

"Midoriya you all good?" he asked as he took a step closer to the kid. He wasn't even registered by him, so he took another few steps till he was right up next to him, he brought his hand up to lay on his shoulder. "Kid?" he asked once again. Before he could touch him lightning exploded from Midoriya's shoulder and zapped his hand. He pulled it back instinctually however felt no pain, not even the fuzzy feeling from when you normally get electrocuted.

He looked at the young man once again. Hs eyes slowly started to come back from the hazy thousand yard stare. It was then he heard a soft beep from his tablet. He reached down into his pocket and pulled it out. His eyes widened exponentially as he read the number on the screen.

37.5 km

He tapped the tablet with his hand to make sure it wasn't erroring out. He looks away then back at it, the number didn't change. He looked at the young man who just thrown a ball well over 30km. which was insane in of itself.

Izuku blinked slowly shaking off the fuzzy feeling that was going through his body. He didn't know what just happened, he heard the voice, then his body almost felt like it moved on its own. He felt One for All flow through his entire body before vanishing from his body and seeming to flow to his throwing arm. The moment the ball left his hand the world fazed out of his field of view and he was left staring at eight shadowy figures. He could barely make out their shape compared the blackened world behind them. Suddenly the middle one took a step forward till he was right in front of him.

The figure reached their hand out hand rested it on his shoulder. He felt One for All flash through the contact with the figure. Then a soft voice whispered from the back of his head.

"Don't worry young one, it's too soon for you yet, but we believe and accept you." The voice said before the figures slowly dissipated and the world came back to him. He turned his head to see Mr. Aizawa looking at him with wide eyes while holding the little tablet in his hands.

He went to bring his hand up before he winced. His arm hurt. A lot. He could still move it though. Bringing it up and making a fist he looked at Aizawa and smiled.

" ." he said making the eraser hero look at him again and raise an eyebrow. "I'm still standing!" he said with a slightly cocky smile.

Slowly a crazed smile forms on the tired man's face as he looks at the Midoriya.

"This kid." He says with a soft chuckle, bring his hand up and running it through his long hair. "Kid you more than passed. Do you have any idea how far you actually threw that ball?" He had to ask.

"If I had to guess I would say maybe a little under a Kilometer?" he tentatively guessed. Aizawa looked surprised for an It was then he shivered. Looking down he gawked at his bare chest. Moment.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH, where's my shirt?" he exclaimed as he started to shiver even more. Aizawa wasn't focused on that though.

'Did this kid not see what he just did?' he thought before he turned behind him to his boss.

"Sir, by your calculations how far do you think he threw that ball?" he asked

"Well since I don't have a speed in which the ball was thrown at. I'm going to guess around 10km." the small mammal guessed.

"You're both wrong by a lot." He said as he turned to tablet to everyone on the beach. "37.5 kilometers was the distance." He finished. At this Izuku stood there like a fish out of water with a gaping expression on his face. The biting cold forgotten compared to the number he was just told. He stood there frozen at the number that he was just given. What the fuck is he supposed to do with that. The world seemed to crack around him.

"Young Midoriya." A voice broke him out of his stupor. He fell forward for a moment but caught himself before he face planted. He looked over and saw All Might, but not in his buffed up form. He was how he was most days he was training with him. "You saw them didn't you?" Was all he asked.

"Saw what?" Izuku asked confused at the older injured man.

"The Vestiges, seven shadowy figures?" he looked at him with a quirked eyebrow.

"I saw them yes but there were eight of them" he said. "One of them spoke to me too." He looked Yagi directly in the eyes as the man's eyes widened. "All Might, what just are they." He asked. All Might took a breath and opened his mouth before Nezu spoke up interrupting him.

"Well I know this conversation is important, we should put a pin in it and talk about it at a later date. We are starting to get off topic for the real reason we came here." He said. The short mammal looked at both All Might and Izuku. "I'm sure your wondering why the reason we called you out here. It wasn't just to see you throw a ball that parted the ocean." That comment like many other tonight caused the young man to freeze.

"I parted the ocean with that throw?" Izuku asked as he robotically turned around to the ocean then back at the group of people who were looking at him.

"Yes, yes, you can be surprised every little bit later right now you have a decision to make." Nezu said slightly impatiently.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"While I'm unable to accept you into my school due to you having due to your failure being on record for my school." Izuku winced slightly when he heard that. "I think it's for the better." He said which cause Izuku to look at him confused.

"What you didn't want me going to your school? What was me being quirkless going to be a tarnish on its polished-" he never got to finish as the small mammal held up his small hand.

"No I am honored that you applied to UA, and I still accepted you into the general studies just because of your test results. If you had shown me your quirk analysis, that would have gotten you in immediately. It's a field that not many go into and I could see you pushing many young students to do better with their quirks." The principle says with a small smile. "The real reason I had All Might call you here is for a proposal I have for you." He turned and started to pace once again.

"While you could and can go to another one of the hero schools in the prefecture or country such as Shiketsu. Before you have send your application, I would like to give you this offer in person. First let me preface this with some information." He said as he finally stopped.

"The Definition of Heroes have been thrown around for years and years. Would you happen to know what that's definition is, better yet Izuku, what's your definition of a hero?" Nezu asked the green haired boy.

"The definition of a true hero is one who will show great courage in the face of unbeatable odds, Weather that be saving your buddy while in a war, or protecting the innocent against a villain. However a hero must have noble qualities also, self-sacrifice is one of those, and honesty is another. There is a long list that goes into those." He stopped for a moment before adding

"However, you also have to look at things differently sometimes. As how the view of heroes changes from person to person. Like how a firefighter helping a kitten from a tree for a little girl is a man doing is job to many but a hero to that little girl for getting her pet back." Midoriya said with a firm voice. His eyes not wavering. A smile grew on all the hero's faces, and tears formed in his mom's eyes as she looked at him.

"Exactly on the point. Back before there was quirks, heroing was nothing but a comic book dream. Heroes, in the sense of what we have now, were nonexistence, but there was plenty of people who were heroes that didn't follow the text book definition just like you said. However once quirks started to appear so, started to appear the villains. They started to become more daring." He wiped around to look at all the heroes and then back to Izuku.

"Such is the case of the The Californian Bank heist. In that one event 45 police officers died protecting civilians from a mutant based quirk. It took the actions of a few of those police officers and their lives to eventually stop the villain and get him in cuffs to stop him. They weren't doing it for the money or the fame like a lot of heroes now. They were doing it for the people that they took an oath to protect." The white haired mammal stopped for a moment.

"So, when the first heroes started to do their thing, they weren't getting paid, nor were they getting any fame. A lot of them fumbled in the beginning. A lot of them lost their lives. However, they did it protecting the innocent people of their communities." He continued while staring at Midoriya.

"So as the second generation of heroes started to come in in waves. There was no code book to learn from. No high school for them to go to learn what it's like in a controlled environment. They had to go out and learn under the active heroes. They would learn as much as they could from them before going off to another hero and learning from them. Slowly stacking up experience before they went off on their own as a hero. This happened for a while before hero high schools and such were established when the hero commission was made."

"With the commission coming into service and people looking to them for how things should be run, a lot of people and promising heroes, at this point all of them, forgot about the old way of becoming a hero. Even with all the new laws and rules that are put onto heroes and people, the quirks that come with the two. They have never done anything much other than needing a special license to become a hero like this. As such I ask you one question, Izuku Midoriya!" Nezu exclaims.

"Would you like to be the first Hero Apprentice in the last one hundred and twenty five years?" with that Nezu pointed at the confused boy that was standing in front of him.

The information slowly starting to process in the mind of him. His eyes slowly widen as he realizes what he was just asked. He felt his mind start to wander about everything but he stopped it before it could go on a tangent. He, however, let one thought leave his mind and go past his lips to answer the question he was just asked.

"Yes!" he said with a firm expression. His eyes set in a determined stare with the fire that was once smothered with a blanket, and beaten to a pulp, now burning bright. The small mammal smirked as he reached his short hand out.

"Then, Izuku Midoriya, Welcome to you Hero Apprenticeship, and your personal hell." Nezu said with a wide smile. However the last part of the comment caused Izuku to freeze.

"What?"

Alright that's the chapter. now let me say some things about the world. I have changed a bunch of things. first off, UA schooling doesn't start till August. another is that I'm changing a few of the characters that will be going to UA and some of the character's ages. now on to something important. there will be a harem. 21 girls. not going to be fun to write but I'll work with it. whoever guesses every girl in the harem, well I see what you get for guessing.

Also if you couldn't tell. Izuku has a pseudo quirk. what will happen with it. IDK we will see.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. If you see anything that wrong let me know in a review or a PM. Favorite/Follow. I hope you have a good day/night my friends.
