[A/N: I don't know if this chapter is short, but I've been hyper-fixating on twilight for a while now and I realized there are not many fanfics with enby original characters let alone fanfic where enby twilight fans could somehow or somewhat relate to. So I wanted to post one and get the ball going? Also, I might come back and tweak this.]

Silas knew they weren't normal and never would be. When they lived in Texas they had to deal with a lot of bigotry and bullying and hate even from their own family. Silas is what you would call blasian, but they weren't your typical one. They weren't as tan as some popular blasians you might see on the internet, probably because their dad's gene pool was the more dominant of the two, it resulted in them having more loose wavy hair compared to other people of their background. Silas had deep forest green eyes and a small button nose and very soft full plush lips, they had a small body build.. something they couldn't help due to genetics..they didn't have control over it. But back to their family, Silas' father's side of the family was very traditional and religious, and it seems like anything the poor kid did further convinced the family that they were some demonic entity. They'd spend nights and days performing ludicrous rituals on them, hoping it'd change Silas.. but to no avail, would they realize that Silas was just being themselves.

Day and night Silas would endure beating after beating all because they wanted to truly be themself. The treatment became too much for his mother since she was also being abused.. as she had no support from her family.. a bridge she had burned when the kid's father manipulated her into cutting ties with as he convinced her that they didn't want to see her have a happy future and relationship with him. She had eventually taken her life with a gun when Silas was about 11, leaving the poor child back as she felt like she had no other way or solution to fix the misery Silas was subjected to. He would continue to spend the next two years avoiding his father as the man eventually became a raging alcoholic due to the mom's death, spending days if not weeks away from home to avoid the beatings from his dad. During this time they resorted to self-harm.. inflicting damage, and doing so every time the previous scars looked like they had healed.

Silas eventually had gotten away from the nightmare when a teacher found him unconscious near the school covered in blood one day. They had called 911 stating he needed medical help as they had panicked from the amount of blood they saw. While they waited for the EMTs to show up Silas had awoken from their unconsciousness, they had started talking as the teacher had asked them what had happened and had let the teacher know they didn't want to go back home .. as their father had been abusing them for years and he didn't feel safe there. Silas felt if they brought him back to the house where he endured so much misery he wouldn't live to see another day. The EMT finally showed up transporting him to the hospital, where the hospital began to take care of him while also filling out paperwork with cps and cops to have him placed in foster care while they arrested his dad and put him in jail for neglect and abuse. They eventually got placed in a foster home in a small town called forks. It had become their new haven, although it wasn't as sunny as the state of Texas they still loved the town, and whenever they went out they would always make their way to la push just to watch the waves alone for hours. The waves spoke to them and it soothed their soul, it was as if the ocean was forever always reminding them that they were the golden sun and needed to be treated as such. They got homeschooled for a few years to help cope with trauma and mental health as their foster parents didn't know how they'd react being around other kids who weren't their foster siblings.

Eventually, as years passed on Silas had gotten to know a lot of people in forks including the kids and teens and adults there, and they decided it was time for them to go to public school. They were able to cope better and their mental health and physical health were at a stable enough point for him to indulge in social life outside of the home. By then Silas was seventeen and they were about to start a new school year as a junior in forks. Little did Silas know his life was about to be in for another twist again.
