Gamelover41592: Thanks

Tech-Star: I'm glad you liked it. I had to look up the functions online, but it was a lot of fun.

IllusionSign (Guest): Yes, it is Flynn.

So, remember how Kaos was creating a bomb to replace the hydra? Well, it's time to see if it works! Alright time to begin.

Sky hugged her staff to her chest. She couldn't help but be nervous.

After all, Kaos could be scary when he wanted to be.

His floating castle was hovering in a fog of dark clouds, with the sound of his laughing echoing through the citadel.

"Master Eon!" Spyro, along with fellow Skylander Trigger Happy, raced towards older Portal Master. "What should we do?"

"Wait," Eon declared. Spyro merely stood at attention with a nod. He knew that Eon's judgment was always right. "Take your station, Hugo." The assistant nodded and ran to a bunker. Sky knew she was to follow if things got too hairy.

"Skylanders! Prepare for battle! The Darkness is here!" Sky called out. While she wasn't a full Portal Master yet, the other Skylanders still respected her as a leader. Sure enough, more and more raced outside.

"BEHOLD! It is I, Kaos!" The villain, using a much more imposing floating head hologram, declared to the crowd of heroes. "Long have I waited for this day to take my revenge! Soon, you will all bow down before me! Kaos! K-A-O-S!"

"Kaos! I might have known!" Eon declared as he slowly took in what was in front of him. "And…what happened to your head? It looks ridiculous!" Sky and a few other Skylanders couldn't help but burst out laughing at the offense Kaos took over the comment.

"My head is awesome I tell you! Fear it! Fear my giant floating head!" At that point, Kaos turned to have a conversation with Glumshanks, preventing the Skylanders from hearing what he had to say, but they doubted it was important. "You thought you had banished me to the Outlands!? Hahahahaha! I, Kaos, have returned to destroy the Core of Light and rule Skylands as it's Emperor! And you are so old and weak now, Eon! And your successor is a little girl! So there is nothing you can do about it!" With that, Kaos began to laugh again.

"I've told you before Kaos! You and the Darkness have no power here!" Eon repeated.

"Yeah! Go away!" Sky chimed in before blowing a raspberry.

"Oh, is that so? We'll just see about that! MINIONS!" Kaos ordered, prompting several of his forces to teleport in.

"Skylanders!" Eon and Sky ordered at the same time. Spyro was the first to jump into action, using the portal to quickly enter the battlefield. As more Skylanders entered the battle, Sky whistled, summoning her hydra.

"You called for us, master?" One head replied.

"Help the Skylanders stop the bad guys!" Sky ordered as she pointed to the battle.

"You got it boss!" Another chimed in, prompting the dragon to join the battle. While still not fully grown, the hydra was able to help fend off the enemies.

"Something doesn't feel right…" Eon mumbled under his breath. Unfortunately, Sky heard him.

"Dad? What's wrong?" She asked, nervously looking up at her father.

"I feel like something is wrong here," Eon began to explain. "As…loud as he can be, Kaos normally is more clever than this."

"But why does everyone else say he's so stupid?" Sky asked. Eon chuckled as he noticed Kaos making a rather offended face, meaning he had clearly heard Sky's comment.

"Well, he's clever, but he's also rather prone to not thinking his plans through," Eon noted. "But even when his plans backfire, they are normally more clever than simply ordering his forces to attack us."

"Like that time he just built statues everywhere to trick people into thinking he was ruler?" Sky asked. Eon chuckled again. Clearly Sky had been paying attention to the stories the other Skylanders had been telling her.

"Yes, like that," Eon replied as he looked back out at the battlefield. The Skylanders had finished off almost all of the enemies. Yet Kaos was silent. No declarations of revenge. No loud nos. Nothing.

But he was smirking.

"Skylanders, can you see anything else down there!?" Eon called out.

"Nothing we can see, master!" Jet-Vac called back.

Beep

Almost everyone's eyes went wide at the sound. They knew very well what made noises like that.

A bomb.

"Don't just stand there! Find it!" Jet-Vac ordered. The Skylanders went into a frenzy, doing their best to find the bomb. Sky and Eon, for their part, moved away from the balcony they were standing on. The hydra flew back to Sky, positioning themselves to protect her and her father.

"I found it!" Eruptor yelled out. The Skylanders rushed over to him. It was buried near the core.

And five seconds from going off!

"EVERYONE GET BACK!" Spyro called out. The Skylanders scrambled to get as far away as they could before the bomb went off.

BOOM!

When the dust settled, Sky and Eon poked their heads above the Hydra's protective scales. The Core of Light was gone. All that was left of the Core were some rocks that had been used to mark where it was. The hydra allowed the two Portal Masters to climb onto its back, before flying down to where the Skylanders were trying to regain their bearings. Kaos was gone, clearly happy his plan had succeeded.

"Master?" A nervous Ghost Roaster asked as he floated over to Eon and Sky. Sky wrapped her arms around him, prompting him to place a hand on her shoulder.

"It's…it's gone," Was all Jet-Vac could say.

"Kaos…Kaos did it," Chop Chop said in despair.

"So that's it? Kaos won?" Spyro growled, but the cracks in voice gave away the fear and sadness in his voice.

"No! It can't be over!" Sky declared as she pulled away from Ghost Roaster. "I remember that one of the books Hugo read to me said that all parts of the Core are invincible!"

"That's right!" Hugo declared as he rushed over. "No part of the Core can be fully destroyed! So more than likely, the bomb just scattered them!"

"But Skylands is massive! How will we find them all before Kaos gains enough influence to take over?" Stealth Elf questioned.

"We're the Skylanders!" Spyro chimed in as he walked over to Sky and Eon. "You don't think we'll come up with something?"

"Skylanders! This is not the time for despair!" Eon declared, taking his daughter's cue. "Kaos has not yet won! We still have the time to rebuild the Core of Light!" He raised his staff up, prompting Sky to do the same. "For Skylands!"

"FOR SKYLANDS!" The Skylanders proudly declared.

So not a win or a loss for either side! And yes, Eon is going to keep his human body. But as Kaos pointed out, he's still getting old. So he will still need Sky, even if he still has a human body. Anyways, next time, we begin our hunt for the parts of the Core of Light.
