Gamelover41592: I'm right about most things.

Matt (Guest): I know right! I keep smiling whenever I'm writing her.

So, time to collect our first Eternal Source! Let's go!

Once Flynn finished installing his new propeller, the Skylanders wasted no time in flying out. Every second they wasted was a second for Kaos to gain more ground. Once again, Sky and Eon tagged along, only this time, it was because a Portal Master was needed to control the Eternal Sources. Anyone else who tried for more than a few minutes would cause catastrophic damage.

Just as the Drow were currently learning.

"That's a big twister!" Sky exclaimed. The stronghold was currently being torn apart by said twister. Eon had no doubt it came from the Eternal Air Source.

"Well, then we should halt the Drow's meddling before it moves from the castle!" Lightning Rod boasted as he pointed forward.

"How are we going to do that without a bridge?" Hex pointed out. "Not everyone can fly or float over?"

"I…did not think of that," Lightning Rod admitted sheepishly.

"You both make good points," Eon said as he stepped forward, Sky tailing him. Both began to look over the castle in order to see if there was a way in. Eon was the first to spot it. "Those Lighting Pylons appear to be powering the vortex! If we shut them down, we should be able to gain access to the Eternal Air Source.

"Doubt the Drow will be happy to see us," Whirlwind grumbled as she looked over what was left of the castle. She could still see Drow soldiers running around.

"Not like we can't take 'em," Warnado pointed out before clicking his tongue. "Although, that is one fine looking twister. Wish I could take a ride on it, but I don't even know if I could handle that."

"I don't think it would be wise to test that theory," Sonic Boom agreed.

"Less standing around!" Jet-Vac snapped. "We've gotta get moving before that twister does! As hypnotic as it is, I doubt we'll have much time."

"Jet-Vac is right," Eon declared. "Skylanders! Onwards!"

"Onwards!" Sky chimed in, even copying her father's actions. The Skylanders all nodded before moving forwards. They had a job to do after all!

Fortunately for everyone, the Lightning Pylons weren't hard to find. There were plenty of Drow and other assorted monsters blocking the path, but with all the Skylanders present (along with the two Portal Masters), it was no challenge.

"The bridge should be finished!" Spyro called out as he and Eruptor finished lowering the last of the pylons.

"Well done!" Eon declared.

"But we're not done yet!" Sky pointed out.

"I am aware of that," Eon assured his daughter as they began to walk towards the bridge. "But all achievements deserve acknowledgment."

"Is that why all Skylanders who get all As get pizza?" Sky asked. Eon chuckled. He had caught Sky and Aurora sneaking into quite a few of those pizza parties.

"Yes," Eon replied. "However, it is also why we give encouragement to those that don't always succeed. So that they can see they haven't lost simply because they failed. Like how we have not failed simply because Kaos destroyed the Core of Light."

"Yeah! Because we're the good guys! So we always win!" Sky cheered, prompting a few other Skylanders to cheer as well.

"That enthusiasm will serve her well in the future," Eon noted with an amused smile. As they crossed the bridge, they could all still feel a decently strong wind, but there was no danger beyond any enemies found there. Which, again, the Skylanders were easily able to deal with.

"There's the Air Source!" Sky called out as she pointed to the top of the tower. Sure enough, the Eternal Air Source was there, clear as day.

"And a lot of enemies to take down!" Lightning Rod declared as he sent a lightning bolt forwards, quickly zapping several enemies. The Skylanders quickly got to work, defeating any Drow who approached either them or the Air Source. Sky and Eon, for their part, simply waited until the Skylanders and finished, only stepping in to pick off some stray foes. Soon, the first Eternal Source was theirs.

"Now, Sky," Eon began as he slowly led his daughter over. The Skylanders all quietly moved aside. "While we can control them, the Eternal Sources are extremely dangerous and must be treated very carefully. You saw what it did to this castle, right?"

"Yes…" Sky nervously replied. She really didn't want to be caught in the middle of another twister.

"So, we're going to do this together, okay?" Eon then held his staff toward the Eternal Source. "Now, hold out your staff like this,"

"Like this?" Sky asked as she attempted to copy her father. She had to use two hands to keep the staff steady, but she seemed to have the position correct. The Source then began to float towards their staffs.

"Don't move until I tell you. This part is very delicate," Eon ordered sternly, making sure his voice didn't sound harsh or angry. Sky simply nodded and kept her staff out. Slowly, the Eternal Source began to absorb itself into the staffs. Once it was finally gone, everyone let out the breath they were holding.

"Did I do a good job?" Sky asked.

"Indeed you did," Eon said with a nod. "Now, to return to the location of the Core!"

"Wow…" Sky said in awe. Upon returning, the Eternal Air Source removed itself from Sky and Eon's staffs. It then summoned a small twister, which, in turn, summoned the two spouts as well as restored the area.

"I believe this is off to a good start," Eon said before sighing. "But there are still several more parts and I have no doubt that Kaos will take notice of us sooner than later."

"So what?" Sky asked, almost sounding like she was scoffing. "We can beat Kaos and all his weird gross minions!"

Eon chuckled. "I know. I know."

"Hey! Master Eon!" Spyro called out. "We found someone who we think could help us by the docks!"

"Coming!" Eon called out as he led Sky towards the docks. The future of Skylands was looking bright.

"WHAT!?" Kaos' scream of anger, which was then followed by a scream of fear as he fell off his viewing portal, summoned Glumshanks into the room, causing him to look through it.

"Look, Lord Kaos. They found the Eternal Air Source," He noted as his master tried to climb back up.

"They got the Eternal Air Source, you fool!" Kaos snapped as he continued his struggles to climb back into the portal, prompting Glumshanks to help. "That girl! Eon must have trained her more than I thought!"

"It's also possible that Eon could be helping the Skylanders, but I know I'm no expert," Glumshanks offered.

"That's ridiculous! He knows that he is so old that he's a bigger liability than help nowadays!" Kaos scoffed.

"Still, they are probably trying to rebuild the Core of Light," Glumshanks noted.

"WHATTTTTTTT!?" Kaos exclaimed as he fell off the portal again. "We can't let that happen! Find the other Eternal Sources! I don't care where they are! Just GET THEM!" Kaos then stormed off. He needed to tell the trolls they were working overtime. Unpaid, of course.

For the record, I died laughing when I looked up the cutscenes for Kaos' dialogue this chapter. I completely forgot he did that scream! Anyways, next time, we continue our hunt for the Core of Light pieces! See you then!
