Chapter 1: The Boy with No Memory

-In a void of darkness-

Darkness that's all that's present in whatever void this is, as a white blanket is slowly falling within the depths. Closer look and you can see the blanket is covering a boy with brown spiky hair with closed eyes as if he's sleeping.

As the falling youth nears the white blank surface of what seems to be a platform, the blanket disintegrates into particles of light. When he softly lands on the platform the boy slowly opens his eyes as they appear to be blank with no light or emotion as if his mind has been broken.

The boy looks around and hears a faint voice. 'Fool once again you caused our heart to be broken.' Confused, the boy calls out. "Who are you…?"

The voice gets clearer and it sounds calm and collected, but also intimidating. 'You can say I'm the darkness your heart's light casts, but you wouldn't know or remember my name anyway given what's happened?'

Holding his head he tries to remember, but he realizes the voice was right and he can't remember except one thing. "You're right I don't remember you…, now what I have left in my heart is slipping away." As he's about to give and fade away.

'Fool, don't give up. You have the power to repair your heart and save us both, in fact…' As the boy is confused a golden-yellow aura envelops the platform and fixes the remaining damage to it. 'There I healed the wounds to your heart, as payment I'll be claiming your old memories they were buried deep in your subconscious for myself for the time being as you're too weak to even have them at this moment.'

'Know this one day when you'll be struggling I will return to offer you my strength. Then you'll seek me out when you're strong enough to reclaim your old self.'

With a hand on his chest he feels his strength returning to him with added power grateful to the voice's help. "Right, thanks."

'Time for you to wake up now. All we need to do is.'

The boy then looks up, summoning a key shaped sword pointing at the dark void in the sky with a pillar of light shining over him. "Open the door." Then a beam of light shoots out the key piercing the light as the blank surface of the platform peels off revealing what seems to be described as a stained glass with a picture of himself on the middle holding the same key shaped sword over his right shoulder smiling proudly, with 5 symbols surrounding him with the upper symbol being a head of a leopard with a brown-light brown surface for it, on the upper right it's a emblem that seems to be a mixture of a heart and a cross surrounded by a light-dark green surface, upper left shows a crown shaped symbol surrounded by a dark-light blue surface, then the lower right depicts a heart expressing emotion shaped symbol with sharp corners, deep serves, straight edges, this one is surrounded by a dark-light red background and finally the lower left pictures a X shaped symbol surrounded by an orange-yellow background.

More details on this stained glass also depict little light shaped stars surrounding the multi colored backgrounds, it also seems most of the surface is colored in shades of purple and blue, but with added multi star shaped crystal surrounding the background depicting the boy in a circle.

As the stained glass finishes form the light engulfs everything including the boy as everything fades to white. 'Oh almost forgot one last thing you won't remember any of this conversation, good luck with your new life….Venty Wenty.'

-Daytime in the middle of a beach.-

Night soon passes and the sun rises, the only sounds heard are the waves of the ocean with the smell of seawater in the air. If you can pay attention close enough you can see a fairy the size of a child's hand floating around the beach yawning as her stomach is growling. "I'm so hungry, I've been flying all day." The fairy-like being rubs her eyes in tiredness as she's still drowsy from the long nights sleep.

As she finishes rubbing she hears a faint groaning sound as if someone is in pain. As she's looking around her eyes faintly catch a downed figure as she turns to the ocean, until realization hits and she quickly turns around seeing a falling boy in the sand. Panicking at seeing the unmoving body she quickly rushes to him and begins shaking him. "He-Hey! Are you ok?!" But to no avail, she keeps checking and shaking, getting concerned, then she hears him breathing which leads to her breathing a sigh of relief that he's fine, just unconscious.

Getting a good look at him she begins to question if he really is from here, as his clothes look way different than the clothes she's seen. From inspection he appears to be a teenage boy with short brown colored spiky hair. He also seems to have a mature yet innocent face. He's seen wearing the strangest clothes according to her mentally, as his attire consists of a grey-crimson red jacket with checkered patterns on it along with black-crimson red pants with the same checkered patterns. He seems to be wearing black-white-red shoes, wearing two rings on the same hand, one black, one white, and both with the same checkered patterns, with a crown shaped necklace around his neck. The fairies thoughts about seeing this are. 'Where the heck did this guy come from, is he some kind of weird prince from a faraway land or something?'

As she's thinking this she's pushed out of her thoughts as she hears the boy groan again as he wakes slowly, excited he's already the fairy waves and asks in his face as she got closer. "Hey are you ok? You were out of it for a while."

To the boy he could barely see and hear who's calling him as things were very blurry, he felt weak like he couldn't even get up like he'd been in a long coma. 'Where am I, who's calling out to me….' His vision slowly becomes clear and his hearing gets better seeing the fairy. He makes no sudden move as if he doesn't know what to think.

"Hey, how many fingers am I holding up?" Asked the fairy as she holds up three fingers, but no response from the boy, getting concerned she goes with another suggestion. "OK, nod if you can see three fingers I'm holding up." The boy proceeds to slowly nod showing he understands her. Sighing in relief the fairy asks. "Are you able to stand up?"

The boy tries to stand slowly, but nearly falls over countless times until he's able to find balance, he slowly looks around, hearing the ocean and smelling the faint scent of seawater. "Where am I?" Wondered the boy.

"I should be the one asking the questions here!? I just happened to be taking a stroll to the beach and here you are just lying in the sand looking dead! Where did you even come from!?" Exclaimed the fairy.

Looking at his hands as he slowly lifts them up little. "I don't know where I am….." He tries to remember something, someway of how he got here, as he tries to remember more he managed to get something. "All I know is my name is Aozora…." He looks up at the fairy with his faint lightness, eyes void of emotion as if he's been through much.

Her eyes widen at what she's seeing and hearing. One this boy can't remember where he's from, except for his name and two it sounds like he washed up on the beach after surviving a big battle. Feeling bad for him the fairy decides to help him anyway she can. "Well it sounds like a serious case of amnesia, but if you want, Paimon can help you find anyone who knows you?"

His eyes widened a little. "Really you'd do that for me?" As he gets a good look at the fairy, his head starts to hurt as a vision of a really miniature blonde fairy in a green dress who leaves a trail of sparkling dust flashes in his mind and one name suddenly appears in the front and center of his mind.

Concerned seeing him having a headache the fairy asks. "Hey is your head alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine Tinker-Bell." The boy answers, which makes the fairy raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"Uhm that's great, but my name is not Tinker-Bell, it's Paimon. Paimon old you that if you were paying attention." The fairy corrects, giving him a stern look.

The boy looks and is a little embarrassed for getting her name wrong and nervously chuckles a bit. "Oh sorry, Paimon it's just for some reason it's the first time that popped in my head."

The fairy now dubbed Paimon then narrows her eyes at Aozora still with a look of confusion as she tilts her head. "You're really weird, you know that?"

"Hey all I did was get your name wrong by mistake, how does that make me weird?" He says in defense.

Paimon just shakes her head with a smile on her face. "Whatever, we should head off as Paimon has an idea on how to help you, let's get going!"

With that the duo leave the beach and even though Aozora doesn't have any memory on who or what he is he seems to remember some basic functions like running and climbing.

"Now we're on route to the Statue of the Seven!" Paimon says excitedly as she moves ahead with Aozora following her.

"The….Seven?" Aozora questions.

Paimon stops for a bit to explain what she knows and from what Aozora could gather the seven are the Gods of this world who either rule or watch over one of the seven main nations of Teyvat.

"Seven Gods for seven elements, you think they can help me?"

Paimon nervously chuckles. "Well Paimon's not sure if they would, but the seven are known to have vast knowledge of the world so we won't know unless we ask."

Aozora looks a bit dejected, but we knows Paimon is right he can't get answers if he doesn't atleast asks, he looks to Paimon and nods in agreement as they move onward.

As they continue the path, Aozora takes notice of the beauty of this world, the animals are lively, the trees and plants are healthy and grown to maturity, everything seems so peaceful.

Then they reach the top of the hill and the view is breathtaking and as if by a miracle, Aozora's eyes which looked dull managed to get light back on them as he stares in awe at what he's seeing. He closes his eyes as he allows the wind to blow around him as the leaves of the trees ride the current. To him it's funny as he feels this breeze is familiar.

As if on faint memories flash into his mind as not only is the wind blowing, but he feels a scent of seabreeze from the beach even though it's far away, causing him to shed a single tear in a form of nostalgia.

"Hey are you ok, Aozora? You're crying." Paimon points out in concern.

Noticing, the youth wipes his tears away and smiles. "Yeah, thanks it's just that I remembered something nostalgic. I remembered I lived on a group of small Islands."

"Ooh! So you're an islander, that could explain how you got washed up on the beach, maybe you were traveling out at sea and caught in a storm" Paimon wonders.

Now that she mentioned that he begins thinking, Paimon does have a point. Maybe he did try traveling to another nation by sea and got lost in the storm, but he also wonders did he bring friends with him and if so were they already, he hopes so as he at least wants to find someone who knows him. He soon comes out of thought process as he feels Paimon shaking him to get his attention as she's pointing to a statue up ahead claiming its one of the seven god statues.

Paimon proceeds to explain that each of the seven nations has a set of statues of their respective Gods as a symbol of their eternal protection of the land. She even explains that one of the seven they're seeing depicted on the statue is the one who controls the very wind itself. As they leave the hill top to the Statue Paimon then states there's a reason she's taking him to the statue in the first place.

-Statue of the Anemo God-

As they arrive to the statue Aozora gets a good look at the god which depicts what seems to be a young boy wearing angelic clothing with angelic wings sprouting out their back, he also seems to be holding some type of sphere object in the hands.

"As we all know in this world poetry and language flow like the wind, there will definitely be someone here who knows who you are, atleast that's what Paimon thinks. Now whether the Gods will answer you is a different story, but go on place your hand on the statue you won't know unless you try remember." Paimon says

Nodding his head in agreement, Aozora slowly and gently touches the statue. As he does it begins glowing gold to green light as he let's go of it quick as he's a bit startled and backs away slowly.

As he and Paimon look up the whole statue begins to glow green, but there's one thing they're looking at closely which is the orb the god is holding as the particles of light gather in the orb and then shoots out an orb of energy which seems to have a symbol of wings inside it as it floats down and slowly enters Aozora body.

The youth then looks at his body after the orb entered him as the same green energy is slowly emitting from him wondering what just happened as he slowly feels some surge of power inside him. "Uhm, Paimon what just happened to me." He looks at his new companion with concern for himself.

Paimon looks at him with excitement as she explains. "What you just felt was the Ameno Gods blessing, did you feel the elements of the world flowing through your body."

Aozora nodded. "Yeah it was a surge of strength and for reasons it feels right for me, like I was meant to have this power."

"But, take note in this world as much as you may want it, not everyone can just be bestowed upon the same powers as easily as you." Paimon explains

"Really?"

Paimon nods as she continues as she then realizes in shock. "Yeah and wait a minute, then that would mean you're not from this world. That would also explain your weird clothes as no one in Teyvat has clothes like those!"

Aozora then has a shocked look of his own. Wait if Paimon's is right then what world did he come from to begin. If that makes him some sort of outsider, how in the heck can one of the gods of this world bestow upon him their powers, wouldn't there be huge consequences to something like this?

"Well for now let's just hurry up west to Mondstadt, The City of Freedom" Paimon says as she points to the city up ahead.

"Why is it called that?" Aozora questions

Paimon explains that the city is called that and also the City of Winds, as they worship the Anemo God. She also suggests now that he has the power of winds he could find some clue on what world he came from there. She even states there's Bards there so if he does have friends who were sent to Teyvat with him then perhaps one of the bards have seen them.

Interested in learning more about the rules of this world at least so he isn't lost, Aozora agrees and moves on with Paimon to the city and as they do a looming shadow appears over their figures. As they look up their eyes widen in shock and intimidation as what appears to be a hug, green, six winged dragon has just flown over them roaring as it lands into a forest up ahead. They both look at each and nod as with run, though in Paimon's case fly into the direction where the dragon was sighted to learn more, but know to proceed with caution.

-Heart of the Forest-

Aozora and Paimon arrive at the forest and make it to the heart of it, as they catch a glimpse of the dragon they immediately hide behind a tree not to anger it, as they can hear its growl even though it hasn't noticed them yet.

Aozora then moves his head out of the tree a bit to get a glimpse of it and he can only think the dragon may look intimidating, but it's a very beautiful one too. As he turns his eyes he sees a small boy almost about his height near the dragon's face. Now if he told this to anyone else besides Paimon who's listening in they would think he's crazy as he and she can clearly hear this young boy talking to the dragon as if they're old friends. As he's about to get a closer look, Aozora's body then flashes green briefly much to his and Paimon's confusion, which the dragon notices causing it to roar in anger at the intruders and attack the boy who's near it.

The boy proceeds to jump away immediately before the dragon's swipe can connect, feeling the hidden presence of Aozora and Paimon he turns to where the dragon was roaring at questioning who's spying. The dragon then flies away as the boy disappears in a flash of green light.

"That was…..close." Aozora says as he's panting heavily to catch his wits as he was scared with Paimon in agreement as she was almost blown by the strong winds the dragon produced, on the bright side, she thanks Aozora for letting her use his hair to hold on to dear life much to his annoyance as he brushes his hair back to its absolute symmetry.

"But, that guy who was he, it's almost as if he's friends with that dragon?" Aozora crosses his arms against his chest as he questions what he and Paimon just saw.

"Paimon's not sure, but that guy did look like a weirdo wasn't even scared of getting eaten." Paimon says.

Aozora looks at her sternly. "Hey it may be strange he's talking to dragon's, but don't assume everyone is weird." Another faint memory flashes in his mind about a talking white duck in what appears to be attire of a wizard and a bipedal dog who seems to be a knight. "But still, I can't believe dragon's exist….."

"Paimon gets what you mean, oh what's that?" Paimon turns around as she notices something red was left behind where the dragon was last seen.

Aozora goes to where she's pointing and notices what seems to be a scarlet red tear drop looking crystal. Paimon warns him to be careful not to touch it as she has a bad feeling in her stomach about it and suggests they take it with them for now as it'll be bad to leave it by itself for someone with bad intentions to take it for themselves. Agreeing with said suggestion, Aozora pockets it.

As they begin to leave the forest, the duo hear someone calling to them to stop right where they are. "Hey you two stop here right!" Looking around the two are trying to find where that voice is coming from until they see what appears to be a girl in red about Aozora's age leap from a cliff and land on the ground in a barrel roll and almost trips as she stands.

Getting a good look at her she appears to be wearing a young girl with long brown hair and gold eyes. Her attire consists of what appears to be a jumper-like outfit composed of dark brown leather shorts, a red hoodie-like top, red stockings, and white thigh-high boots embellished with gold linings and symbols. She seems to be also wearing a leather belt with two small bags, gloves, a small belt on her right thigh, and gold-framed goggles. Her most distinguishing feature is the headband with the large red bow that rests on her head, resembling the shape of bunny ears.

"May the Anemo God be with you stranger. I am the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, Amber!"

Author's Notes: With that the first chapter is officially done, I hope you guys like it. Again my writing needs work so I may have to ask one of my friends to beta read it for me to make sure future chapters are properly written.

Also to let folks know I'm basically rewatching story moments of the game to get an idea of what's going on as I can have a poor memory, oh jeez I hope I portrayed Paimon right and kept her third person dialogue intact.

Also did a poll on the Kingdom Hearts Amino on what should be the forces of darkness, Aozora should go against and the Abyss mages obviously won by a landslide and I can agree they fit and they're also ALMOST Heartless like when it comes to their appearance.

You might be wondering why I didn't have Aozora/Sora fight some slimes or Hilichurls to show off his usage of the power of Anemo, well I'm saving his keyblade and that power for the next chapter so be on the lookout for that and speaking of the keyblade I decided that the weapon shall have history in the world of Teyvat by having a wielder end up in Teyvat aka a wielder already traveled beyond his/her reality even before the time of the MoMs and they trained their own students one for each of the seven nations. Now I'll say this anyway the keyblade wielders in the world of Teyvat played a neutral role to make sure the balance of power between the 7 nations along with Teyvats light and darkness were kept, but they mysteriously disappeared with only the Archons being the ones to remember keyblade wielders existed in their world.

Also if you have questions on what will happen in the story or what you'd like to see let me know in the reviews and I'll answer them in the next chapter, have a good day/night and be safe out there!
