So basically, the reason updates have been slowing down is very very very very very simple.
I am an avid roleplayer on Discord. And we are reaching a lot of plot relevant events in that server that eat up time.
Also I like, do coding. Which also eats time. Lol!
Hmm yes, I'm also indeed mainly focusing on this Fic for a while. Probably until the USJ arc.
Whoooooouuuoouououo, mysterious USJ foreshadowing...
Tanjiro was a little disappointed he didn't encounter Fumikage at the Train Station. But it's reasonable enough to consider him taking a different train or going someroute else entirely.
That's not to say the ride home wasn't boring, there were three classmates on the train with him afterall and small talk had already begun. Specifically, Izuku mentioned something about Quirks which started the topic of 'what does everyone's Quirk' do going.
Explanations were exchanged between most of them.
Ochako with the ability to make things levitate, Tenya's leg engines, and Izuku's extreme superpower.
And then it was Tanjiro's turn. Considering he scored relatively high on all the events he figured people would be interested in him.
"Kamado, your Quirk is an enhancement Quirk, right?" Tenya asked, drawing everyone's attention to the boy to give a confirmation or not.
Technically it could be considered one, Demons were much more powerful than Humans could ever be, although that probably doesn't hold up anymore in this superhuman society.
"I guess you could say that." Tanjiro responded as middleground, "But I can also heal injuries really fast."
Tenya nodded, but he had a tinge of surprise, Tanjiro could tell.
"Is that so much of a surprise?" Tanjiro asked as a result, giving a wide smile while doing so.
"Well, it's not common for a Quirk to do more than one thing, In fact it's extremely rare. From what I saw the enhancement part of your Quirk by itself is already really powerful…" Tenya began before thinking for a brief moment, technically an enhancement Quirk that could heal wasn't such a strange idea, if it just enhanced the correct parts of the body it could be achieved, though he decided to continue with his point.
"But to heal injuries aswell, that's an amazing Quirk."
"You think so?" Tanjiro asked, still keeping his expression in a smile, acting the fool in the scenario.
"Yes, I do. Has no one ever told you that before? Your parents, maybe?"
"I… Don't know, I was diagnosed with Amnesia." Tanjiro lied, dropping his smile.
"I see. Sorry for asking!"
"Don't worry about it."
The chat continued, the atmosphere didn't change luckily.
But eventually it would be time to get off the Train, and that time soon came for Tanjiro and Izuku who got off at their stop, waving to the two still in the train as it drove off.
So they headed back home on foot for the last stretch, it wasn't far luckily and they continued their chat while doing so.
"So, how was the first day of school, hero-in-the-making?"
Toshio welcomed Tanjiro the moment he showed up near the door of the shop like he had been waiting there the entire time.
"It went well, I managed to make a few friends aswell. Not to mention the fact I have two of my previous classmates in my class, I was genuinely surprised." Tanjiro answered as he went inside, putting his back near the staircase that led to the resident's area while Toshio followed him around like a puppy.
He clearly wanted to hear what Tanjiro experienced at school, which gave the two a lot to talk about.
"Ha-haaa! You're a real lucky kid, you know?" Toshio bellowed near the end of their conversation, now in the middle of dinner with the television blaring in the background.
"You know, when I was your age I actually took that exam once. I failed miserably at the physical part because, to be fair, my Quirk really isn't good for fighting. So I kind of gave up on that dream, but to now be raising a Hero in the making! I guess my dream shot back at me!" He continued to bellow, entering a laughing fit after.
"You know, kid? Maybe you'll be fighting tomorrow, they already did a test of skill in those fitness tests you mentioned so I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to already start making you do mockup scenarios."
"Part of me hopes I can take it a little easier tomorrow and get used to my new class." Tanjiro answered, though he doubted he was heard over the laughing his guardian was producing. He couldn't really place his finger on why this was so funny to Toshio.
"Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it? You should get a good rest today, can't tell for sure what tomorrow holds, so be ready for it!"
