"Hey, does Haruhi seem different to you?"

It had only been a few moments since the silence began. Haruhi having left out of the blue. Leaving the former friends with Ranka.

Tamaki tilted his head.

"Different? How so?"

Ranka shrugged, unsure if his observations had positive connotations or not.

"She seems, more expressive? More energetic? She's acting a little more like Hikaru and Kaoru, actually."

Tamaki grinned.

"Well, those three spend a lot of time together, so I wouldn't be surprised of she picked up on some of their attitude."

Ranka frowned, now his nervousness was on full display.

"But she also seems nervous. Like—like she's constantly tense. Or walking on eggshells. It's like she plans out a script for every conversation we have together. I don't know what happened to warrant that."

Honey paused, unable to argue Ranka's point.

Tamaki's eyes narrowed with concern.

"Do you think something happened to her in Boston?"

Ranka looked at Kyoya, who was strangely quiet.

"Kyoya, do you think the twins happen to know anything?"

The looks of everyone cornered Kyoya into becoming suspicious himself. Shrugging.

"I wouldn't be surprised."

"Come to think of it, did Hikaru and Haruhi dye their hair the same day?"

This dropped the mood considerably. Ranka shaking his head.

"I'm not sure why she was so impulsive with that hair. The cut was fine, but the red? I'm glad her organization was fine with her dying her hair. But she should have been more cautious."

Tamaki shrugged.

"Oh, I'm sure she asked first. She's too smart to not think about that."

Kyoya frowned.

"Perhaps she's an exception due to her skill. No organization I've met has ever allowed dyed hair. Not even natural colors."

Ranka's expression fell with panic.

"What if she isn't? We'll need to talk to her about this. What if she does something that gets her fired? After everything she did to get the job?"

Tamaki hummed, speaking up after a moment of looking through a list.

"I know a good place we can go to. It's a smaller, high end restaurant that I've wanted to introduce you all to for a while. Maybe if we're there, Haruhi will feel less uncomfortable? Or the conversation is less likely to get ugly."

Ranka sighed.

"That's probably the best option. I just, it feels like I hardly know her anymore."

A hush fell over the group before they began to plan, sharing the silent agreement.

Meanwhile

"Oh. This is what you had in mind?"

Hikaru grinned. Deflating slightly at her facial expression.

"Do you not want to do it?"

Haruhi shook her head.

"I wanna try, I just wasn't expecting this from you."

Hikaru blushed.

"Well, yeah."

Haruhi smiled, planting her hands on the sides of Hikaru's face and kissing him firmly.

"I didn't say I judged you. Let's give this a try, yeah?"

Hikaru's face reddened further as he nodded. Leaning into another deep kiss.

Haruhi was admittedly a little dubious about the idea. But that feeling washed away when she leaned down to kiss Hikaru on the side of his neck. An unexpected urge flaring up as her fiancé moaned. She leaned in further, attacking Hikaru's neck with more vigor and passion than either expected, and earning a pleasured yelp from the recipient.

As this went on, Haruhi nudged Hikaru to lay on the bed while she stayed on top. Eventually pulling away after one particular open mouthed kiss resulted in a loud, drawn out moan as Hikaru barely articulated a word, a name: Haruhi.

Eye contact only made it more intense and private. Both pairs of eyes holding a fire that neither of them expected to feel, and a heat that made it clear that they were completely into this.

Haruhi cheekily tickled Hikaru's face with her finger as she spoke to him in a quiet but powerful voice.

"What now?"

Haruhi glanced back at what started their conversation in the first place. Another smirk appearing on her face.

"Already?"

Hikaru blushed, earning a light laugh from Haruhi.

"You're so easy to read, Hika."

Haruhi shook her head playfully.

"I'll need to prep you first. Otherwise it'll hurt."

Hikaru didn't protest.

Haruhi took out the small container. Both her and Hikaru having already gotten what they needed set out. Rubbing plenty on her fingers and gently sliding them into Hikaru. The man squinting his eyes from the unfamiliar feeling.

Admittedly, the first time Hikaru and Haruhi did it was a little hasty and poorly planned. And it wound up hurting both of them a little more than what they considered was normal. So, considering that this was a first for Hikaru, she wanted to be extra careful.

"Does it hurt?"

Hikaru shook his head.

"It doesn't hurt, it just feels a little weird."

Haruhi had to go with that answer, moving her fingers out a little before pushing them back in. This time eliciting a squeak of pleasure from Hikaru.

Haruhi took that as her cue to keep going. Scissoring her fingers and making sure he was ready. Hikaru felt chills run up his spine as this was happening. Holding back his moans and making them hums instead. Haruhi leaning over and planting a kiss under his eye.

"You don't need to hold back, Hika."

Hikaru's face went red as he let one moan slip out. Haruhi leaning further into his neck and kiss harder.

"Mm—! Haruhi!"

Haruhi pulled away after a moment. Picking up the other object and making sure it was ready. Leaning down to plant a kiss on her fiancé's cheek to let him know.

"Ready?"

Hikaru nodded just before the item they got slid into him with a slow, measured push. Grip tightening on the bedsheets as he repressed his moans. Haruhi pausing to give him a moment to adjust, and to talk to him.

"Hey, I said before that you don't need to hold back. I'd like to hear it.~"

Hikaru's face reddened further, his muscles throbbed around the mass. Painfully at first, until his body got used to it, and the throbbing suggested that he wouldn't have been able to hold back his moans anyway. Haruhi pecking him on the cheek again as she whispered something to him.

"Let me know when you want me to move."

Hikaru's face remained a bright red. Eventually choking out a cue and giving his fiancé the go ahead to move.

Hikaru laid flat against the bed as a heaviness indicated that sleep was eminent. Haruhi laid on her side, holding her partner close as she let out a hum.

"We should do that more often."

Hikaru's face went red.

"You mean it?"

Haruhi nodded with a confident smile.

"Yeah, I enjoyed that."

Hikaru closed his eyes with a small, slightly embarrassed, smile.

"Me too."

Haruhi leaned up a little, pressing her lips to the side of his face.

"I love you."

It didn't matter how often he had heard those words now. But ever since the couple first exchanged them, they always rendered him helpless.

Hikaru turned his head and playfully pecked her on the nose. Her face scrunching up slightly from surprise as he returned those words. Inflicting the same effect on his fiancé.

"I love you, too."
