PART I
1
I tried desperately to hold on as I slid down. Mountain humidity was no joke and it was hard to think when the sweat ran down your forehead. As my hands trembled on the rock, my legs were on fire. I looked upwards while reconsidering my decision to climb the world's most desolate mountain.
Saman Mountain was a karst terrain with abundant precipitation. But the summit of this area, surrounded by the wide mountain, was one of the paradise places worth seeing. Also, it was pretty possible to reach another heaven with one wrong step. Like right now. Sweat was pouring down my body. It was impossible to get up from the deep pit into which I had fallen. Because the places I hold on have a great risk of falling.
Am I focusing too much on falling? I took a deep breath and looked down. As my eyes began to adjust to the darkness, I tried to find a place to fall. A few feet to my left, 5 or 6 meters below me, I noticed protrusions in the wall where I could go down. But with the frustrating fact that I couldn't relieve single a bit... That side, on my reverse side. I groaned inside the train of thought.
"..Stop thinking..." Stop thinking! Gritting my teeth, I lunged to the left with all my might. I slid down toward where I wanted to step. While I was trying to keep my balance forward, I was falling faster than I had anticipated.Fu-fu-fuk!Finally, I hit the ledge where I supposed to stop. But my head did not stop there and banged against the wall.
"Ahhh!"
As my voice echoed in the deep pit loudly, I rolled all the way down like a nut until I met with the floor a hard fall on my knee. I was motionless where I was, unable to imagine the slightest movement from my place. A slight shiver ran through my body as I lay in a groan. My forehead was completely wet. I could tell by the smell, that wasn't sweating.
I guess... in this dark place... I... I...
Then I barely opened my eyes.
How long did I blackout?
I turned slightly towards the light where the sky was. It was far away... 12 meters there? And the light was still there and high, I suppose it was rather a short commercial break.
The narrow ceiling was widening and descending. My thoughts were still not much clearer. I raised my arm with trembling hand. As I checked my head, I could tell that the wound was superficial. The surface was peeling, which explains the sheer amount of bleeding. My hand landed on my lower body which seemed mostly okay. I tried to stand up with support from my arm in the side position. But... yep, this condition of mine was not good. I groaned silently.
Ohh god... ohh my left leg. That's the part I was afraid to look at. It was definitely broken. My eyes were firmly closed as I opened the zipper on my leg. Even thinking about the possibilities made my stomach turn upside down. There's no point in running, Jude.
I took a deep breath and looked. Bruises and scratches were all over the surface. The broken bone seemed to be fortunately inside. Good, it seems that I will have a stronger bone in its place.
God or matrix? Is there a chance to give my sincere greetings to a doctor near future? It would be good. Huhh huuh, even being in the hospital for a short time looked good to me now.
I examined my shattered bag. It had kept me alive while taking the majority of the blows.
"Huh-uh...Not bad. Seriously not bad." I gave myself a high five. My rating is 8 out of 10 for this dramatic fall. It might be better if I live quietly for a while after this.
I took out the emergency kit and helped myself while whimpering in pain. After cleaning the blood and sweat from my face, my vision became a bit more clear. Then I applied first aid to my leg. I love saving the good part for last. After that, I had to give a short break, even though I was hungry I didn't have the necessary courage to open my mouth. I felt very fragile. But in the end, my hunger was beating me up and I gave up. I swallowed the energy bars.
As I scanned my surroundings, I looked for the flat open. Aaaand lucky me! Or not much in this situation, I could see a narrow gorge. It was dim but I got the perfect tool for it, so my only wish was that this passage would lead me somewhere... somewhere outside. I was trying to get support from the wall as I moved forward by pressing on the pain. In my right hand, the searchlight hovered around. Time seemed running slow like my steps. Seeing there were several options to choose from, I proceeded through the passage that I could more easily pass through.
Depth looked good and the road was downhill. After a 10-minute walk, I turned off my searchlight. As the corridor was widening, there was light at the end. The sound of running water, which I heard through the corridor, got stronger. When I finally arrived the light, I saw that this was another cave with an open ceiling in the mountain. But it was enormous compared to where I had fallen.
Cave's 20? meters long, 30? meters wide and at least 20 meters high ceiling was covered by walls. The ceiling opening was narrow compared to the width of the cave, 6-8 meters? This heroic place was surrendering with green flora and a waterfall flowed carelessly around the corner. While a group of birds was having fun, dancing in the water, they fled with my noisy entrance. Maybe I could consider a few of them for lunch, if I could catch. Gratefully, I made my way towards the waterfall through the bumpy terrain. When I got to the water, I filled the canteen in my bag. I got drunk with the joy of clean water while drinking it. I lay on the ground giggling to myself.
Obviously I wasn't in the mood to think seriously. I could feel the painkillers starting to lose their effect. Fortunately, the season I chose to climb was the right one. As the lights went out, I fell asleep without thinking about the campfire. I need some time before moving forward.
At dusk, a pair of luminous eyes appeared in the cave.
Powerful eyes scanned the entire cavern, easily picking out the difference. His pupils enlarged in a sign of surprise. He wondered about this stranger in his cave but then his heart felt as if it was tightening by disgruntled past. He thought for a while about what to do. It would be good to examine this stranger first. He deftly descended the wall, leaving his high, narrow deep ledge. Gravity was not working on his seven legs. Despite his quick steps, there was no sound. He arrived at the stranger with the swiftness of an insect. The moonlight was hitting the waterfall and it was lighting surroundings. He didn't like the light much, but that much he could bear. His long white silky hair brushed against his dark tanned skin as he leaned forward to see the stranger's face. A satisfied smile appeared on what he saw. He was drawn to the smell of blood, and now he sniffed attentively. The smell was strong which make him nervous. It was clear from the stranger's facial expression that she was in serious pain. She was breathing heavily, his ears, face, and neck red, sweat pooled. He placed his cold hand on her cheeks to comfort her. Her condition did not seem to improve on its own.
I must do something... enough to put her at ease. His white teeth flashed as he parted his lips. He tugged at the dress, opened her wrist but it looked so weak that he couldn't dare. Trying to find the right place to bite, he noticed her left leg was in an absurd position. It was tied with something unique, like a twig. Half of the trotter was open. When he saw the wound, he understood the main cause of the problem. Carefully, he peeled off the garment and ground his teeth where the bruising had thinned. He let the saliva from his teeth spread down his leg. Withdrawn when the transaction was complete. He saw the stranger's expression soften. She won't feel pain for a day but... That was it. This was not a treatment.
How to repair a broken leg? In his dim thinking... I only know how to crush things... and even my leg is broken. It would heal it own in a day. Thinking as his hand wanders over his chin, he has decided to retreat to his own lair for the time being. Time will show what will happen. Smiling, his hands reached up to her body. With the help of his four arms, he carefully grasped her. Humming the melody with ominous satisfied hum, he retreated into his darkness.
