The Holonet Relay:

Jaina's shuttle exits hyperspace and heads for a large space-installation, the Holonet Relay. They fly in and land in a hangarbay where a large contingent of troops and officers await them, armed and ready. Jaina leads the others, but not Chewie, Tyl and D-O, as they all disembark, all dressed as Inquisitorial troops and officers.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Jaina demands, walking up to the senior officer.

"I'm sorry my lady, but we were told that rebels might try and hijack this relay-station" the officer replies. "And that they had managed to commandeer an Inquisitorial vessel."

"Well, I am clearly not a rebel, commander" Jaina growls.

"I am sorry, my lady. I was merely following orders."

"Instead of acting like a fool, take me to your command-center, immediately" Jaina orders.

"Yes, my lady. Of course. Follow me."

The commander then guides Jaina and the others out of the hangar and through the station. They eventually enter the command-station where all holonet-transmissions in the region get transmitted through.

"Thank you, commander" Jaina says. "I will use your station to transmit a message of the highest priority. I need it to reach every relay in the Republic."

"Of course, my lady" the commander says and bows.

"The message?"

"My droid carries it" Jaina says and indicates BB-8.

"Of course" the commander says. "Your droid may link up here at this station and I will arrange Republic-wide broadcast."

"Excellent" Jaina nods.

The others look on as BB-8 rolls up and hooks up to the work-station. BB-8, moments after he has hooked into the relay-systems, gets an overload of energy into him, frying every system and sends him flying off into the opposite wall.

"BB-8!" Jannah calls out and runs over to the droids.

Fate joins her and kneels down to scan the little droid. "An aggressive slice-program" Fate says.

Jannah looks at the humanoid droid. "Is he?"

"He is severely damaged, I am afraid" Fate explains. "Core systems are intact. But if the slicer program accessed BB-8s memory-banks, it is possible all was errased."

Jaina turns to the commander. "What happened?! Why was a slicer-program active in your systems?! And why didn't you tell me!"

"Because he didnt know" Acklin says.

They all turn as Acklin, along with Jaina's old Lieutenant and Inquisitorial troops, enter the command-room with weapons ready.

Acklin continues. "We figured it would be best if he didnt know anything. In case you would read his mind, my lady."

"Aren't you clever" Jaina frowns.

Acklin looks at the captured group, then turns to the lieutenant. "The wookie is missing, along with the senators spy and one of the droids."

The lieutenant nods. "I'm on it" he says and leaves.

"So why didnt you make your move when we landed?" Jaina wonders.

"It is not for me to answer that." Acklin retrieves a comlink from his belt. "My lord, we have them."

A few short seconds later a hologram emerges infront of everyone, depicting Ben Skywalker.

"Hello, Jaina" Ben says.

"Ben" Jaina replies.

"So it's true... You have betrayed us."

"I came to my senses" Jaina says.

"Lost your mind, more like."

"Far from it" Jaina responds. "I saw the data stored in the droids. I saw what mother did at Griefalnak."

Ben sneers. "What of it?"

"She murdered millions of innocents. Women and children. Children, Ben. She killed them all. Because she could."

"You lie."

"Do I?" Jaina says, taking a step closer to the hologram of her brother. "Take a look at the data yourself. If you dare. Or are you afraid?"

Ben chuckles. "Afraid? What is there to be afraid of."

"The truth. The truth you and I hid from all our lives. The truth about mother. She is cruel. Vicious. She is a murderer. A tyrant. And she needs to be stopped."

Ben doesnt say anything at first. "What ever she did, she did because it was necessary. To save the Republic. Commander, disarm them and keep them under guard. Im coming aboard."

Amee and Kyle turn and look out a viewport at an incoming Republic warship, a Free Virgilia-class corvette. The hologram ends. Jaina looks at her new friends. They give her a nod. Jaina then throws the guards away with the Force and activates her lightsaber. The others draw their guns and open fire.

Elsewhere in the station, the alarm echoes down the corridors and hallways. Republic troops and officers run to help out with the ongoing firefight. As they pass, Tyl takes a peek out of hiding.

"You were right" Tyl says. "You can always rely on a good enough distraction."

Chewie steps out of hiding as well and speaks in Shyyriwook. Tyl, Chewie and D-O hurry down a corridor and find a small hangar with repair-pods. They climb inside and the pod detaches itself from the station and they head for a large antenna-cluster.

In the control-room, Acklin flees the fight and our heroes blocks the door and Fate hooks up to the computers.

"Access" Fate says. "The slicer-program does not shield basic control-systems. Only the transmit-sequences. Locking all blastdoors."

"Good job" Jannah says, her arm being treated by Bayl and his medical droid, after being hit by a blaster.

Kyle and Amee stand by a viewport and look out.

"That ship is docking" Amee says.

Jaina sighs. "We just need to hold out long enough for the others to get that message sent. We hold."

The Inquisitorial corvette docks with the station and then the airlock gets cut open and a couple of dozen Inquisitorial troops hurry to enter the installation, followed by a determined Ben Skywalker.

Up by the antenna-cluster, the pod docks with a small airlock and Tyl, Chewie and D-O leave the pod, Chewie taking the lead with his blaster ready.

Ben and his troops link up with Acklin and station-security.

"My lord" Acklin says. "They have taken control of the command-section and locked all blastdoors. Our droids are working on getting through, but it will take time."

"We dont have time" Ben growls. "They planned for this, so we must act. Stand back."

Ben activates his yellow lightsaber and steps up to a blastdoor and stabs it, beginning to cut his way through.

In the control-room, our heroes see Ben cutting through the blastdoor on the screens of security-videos. Bayl is worried.

"Your brother will make short work of all the blastdoors. They will be here much sooner than we anticipated."

Jaina looks on the screens as Ben uses the Force to open a blastdoor once he is finished with the lightsaber, and Inquisitorial troops rush through.

"Leave him to me" Jaina says. "I'll draw him away."

Jaina then pulls a grating in the floor to the side.

"What should we do?" Kyle wonders.

"Hold them off for as long as possible" Jaina says and climbs down.

Kyle is not impressed. "Swell."

In the antenna-cluster, Chewie, Tyl and D-O find a large room with many computers. Tyl points to a console on a higher level.

"There, D-O needs to upload the files there. I'll adjust the relay for Republic-wide broadcast."

Tyl begins to work the controls and Chewie grabs the little droid and begins to climb a ladder. As Chewie places D-O on the right level, thats when the Inquisitorial Lieutenant and his troops rush in.

"Halt! In the name of the Republic!"

Tyl opens fire and so does Chewie. D-O runs for cover. The Inquisitorial troops return fire and Tyl finds cover as well.

Ben Skywalker walks up to a blastdoor, followed by Acklin and all the troops. Ben hesitates, sensing something and looks back over his shoulder.

"My lord" Acklin says. "What's wrong? This is the last blastdoor before we reach the control-room."

"Im sure you can deal with it" Ben says and then leaves, walking back the same way they came from.

Acklin is a bit surprised. "Y-yes, my lord."

Ben continues down the corridors until he finds one filled with dead Inquisitorial troops, smoke hanging in the ceiling, molten cuts along the walls. He continues a bit further, goes around a corner and finds his sister, Jaina, standing with dead troops around her feet, her lightsaber activated. Ben looks at the dead troops.

"What have you done?! Why are you doing this?!"

"Mother must be stopped, Ben" Jaina says. "There is no other way."

"Stopped?" Ben chuckles and shakes his head. "She is about to defeat the Core Alliance once and for all. The Chancellor is in her pocket. We have spies everywhere. How will you stop her? How will you stop us?!"

"By telling the truth" Jaina says. "Showing the people that she is a tyrant like all those before her."

"A tyrant? The Republic wouldnt have survived without her. Our enemies would have ripped the Republic apart, both from within and from without. Only mother shielded us all from chaos, from tyranny, from evil. She gave every one of us hope!"

"She gave us death and persecution. And we helped her do those things. You know what we've done, Ben. The lies we've told to hide the truth whenever we committed murder in the name of the Republic."

"All we did was show resolve and determination in doing what was needed to protect the Republic at any cost."

"No. We did what was needed to protect the Inquisition. To protect mother."

"So now you will turn on us? Your own blood. You will walk away and betray us all."

"I will not walk away, Ben" Jaina points out. "I will stay and fight."

Ben activates his own lightsaber. "I gather you will."

They both ready themselves and then the fight is on!

In the antenna-cluster, the fight continues. A power-relay gets hit and everything shuts down and things go dark. Good guys and bad guys sneak around in the shadows with blasters ready. Tyl gets spotted and he is soon outgunned as the badguys close in. Tyl is eventually saved as Chewie charges in and starts throwing badguys around him, relying on his great strength, roaring as he does. As the fight settles, Tyl steps out from his cover and they all look around.

"Well" Tyl says. "We need to get power back on somehow."

Tyl, Chewie and D-O look around, not sure how to solve the issue.

In the control-room, Kyle, Amee and Bayl are armed with blasters and are holding a door leading to a long corridor with a closed blastdoor at the end. Jannah is working on getting BB-8 activated again.

"They are at the blastdoor" Fate says, looking at the video-feed.

At that point, the badguys begin cutting their way through the blastdoor.

"They're coming through!" Kyle calls out, readying his blaster. At that point, BB-8 wakes up, much to Jannah's relief.

"Welcome back, little guy" Jannah says with a smile. "You took quite the hit back there."

Bayl walks over to Fate and checks the video-feed, seeing all the troops on the other side of the blastdoor.

"We wont be able to hold them for long" Bayl says.

In the antenna-cluster, Chewie removes a panel in the wall and begins working on getting power. Tyl runs up to him with a cable carried over his shoulder. Chewie grabs the one end and starts working on hooking it up to the power-supply. Tyl grabs the other and runs over to D-O who is waiting by the end of another cable.

"There you go, buddy" Tyl says as he connects the two cables. "Do your magic."

D-O extends a pair of tiny arms and begins to weld the cables together.

Ben and Jaina continue their fight. They are in a corridor, a walkway, between two towers on the station and Ben swings and misses, slicing a cut in a viewport. Air is instantly sucked into space through the molten cut in the window. It creates a storm in the corridor, dramatically pulling on their clothes and hair as the fight continues. Outside, a droid flies up to the cut window and uses a spray to seal the breach with foam that instantly hardens. Inside, the fight continues and they soon find themselves on a catwalk cutting across a hangarbay below them.

In the control-room, the blastdoor gets forced open and the troops are faced with incoming fire from our heroes. Acklin and his men instantly return fire. Bayl gets wounded and is treated by his medical-droid. The others keep fighting. Jannah gets hits and falls over. Amee grabs her and realizes that Jannah is mortally wounded.

"Go" Jannah says, breathing heavily. "Go..." Jannah dies in Amees arms.

Fate grabs a pair of blasters. "It is time you left" he tells them. "We can hold no longer. Do as she says. Go."

Fate walks into the corridor and starts blasting with both guns. Amee, Kyle, Bayl along with the medical-droid and BB-8 hurry to the grating Jaina used to leave. As they climb down, Bayl realizes his droid can not follow.

"I'm sorry, old friend. You wont fit."

"It is alright, master" the medical-droid says. "My purpose is to prevent death and injury. I can still perform that task. I will do my outmost to prevent you and your friends from coming to harm. Be well, master."

Bayl strokes his droids head and then climbs down and closes the grating. Fate is in the corridor, firing. The medical-droid joins him with its own blaster. As the others climb down the cramped interiors of the station, the two droids makes a heroic last stand until they both succumb to the incoming fire. Both fall over, riddled with smoking holes, landing in two junkpiles.

In the antenna-cluster they hook up a cable to a work-station.

"That should do it" Tyl says confidently and then pulls a level.

The interior powers up and lights go back on. But then lights pop, computer explodes with a rain of sparks and all goes dark again.

Tyl looks at it all. "I think we might need a regulator so we dont overcharge the system and blow a fuse."

Chewie growls.

Ben and Jaina fight on the catwalk. Their blades lock, they swing them down and cut through the catwalk with both blades. Ben flips over Jaina, they strike and parry and Ben then makes a big strike at the catwalk, severing it completely. Jaina is now standing on the section between the two cuts! As the catwalk-section falls, so does Jaina, taken by surprise. It is a violent crash, hitting spaceships and other apparatus on the way down. Ben jumps down and lands on his feet, activating his lightsaber again. He looks around, seeking clues to where Jaina might be hiding. Jaina is crawling, her leg in severe pain, as she tries to stay out of sight from her brother. She finds a spot to hide and just listens for where Ben might be. Ben walks slowly through the hangarbay, looking for Jaina. He kneels and picks up her lightsaber that she has lost and hangs it on his belt.

"You're hurt" he says. "I can feel it. You are trying to control your emotions. Your breathing. Your thoughts. But the pain is there. I can sense it. I can feel you trying to ignore the pain, blocking it out. It is over, Jaina. You are wounded and I have your lightsaber. Surrender. Don't be a fool and let yourself be destroyed for a hopeless cause. It is over, Jaina. Join with me... and come home."

Jaina struggles, breathing, trying to come to a decision.

To be continued...
