Hello, and welcome to another Fanfic idea. This is a usual BNHA story, but this won't be about an OC or the Main Protags. This is a story of Eddie Brock from Marvel. However, this isn't exactly a crossover because this concept is inspired by Marvel Comics, and none of the transported to a different deminsion. This is a what if there are symbiotes in the BNHA Universe.
This story may be an OOC story where Eddie Brock story is more of a mixture of Spider-man and Venom together.
I may not be able to continue this story because this was a one-shot idea.
Thank You, and enjoy the story!
The Following is a work of Fanfiction.
As eighty-percent of the population of the supernatural abilities called Quirks increases, all powers are used for good, and some for evil.
This is a new society that evolves an imaginative fantasy world into a new reality!
This is a world of Heroes
Midoriya Izuku, A boy who is sadly the twenty-percenter, aka quirkless, has a dream! A dream of becoming the greatest Hero!
This… Is not his story!
However, this is a story about a quirkless boy!
A boy named Edward Brock… An American boy who dreams of working in journalism and law enforcement.
Ideal School
"... You should give it up, kid."
A teacher has broken the kid's optimism with heartless disbelief.
Edward Brock, an American boy who desires to be part of the justice system and journalism, is right now being shot down by his counselor.
"Sensei, I don't get it…" Edward, Eddie, didn't understand why the teacher immediately rejected his ideal school.
"Brock, despite your scores, oh what the hell am I saying, it's your scores." The teacher said being a total ass. "Your English is great, but you still lack Japanese literature and writing, math is average, science is average, physical education is straight out amazing…" The teacher is amazed by the test scores.
"... I still don't see why-"
"Wait, Wait, let's see…" The teacher continued the whole listing of the average score. "Let's Japanese haven't been completed… Japanese still hasn't been completed… oh! And what's this, Japanese still hasn't been completed!" The teacher closed the GPA book. "You may speak Japanese, but you don't have the grades to participate in enrollment." Eddie's teacher put him down with a disappointing score. "All these are from the high school you participated in the exams, and I gotta say, even though you just got here one year, you still don't seem to be getting used to Japan." The teacher put down the pamphlets. All of them are the pamphlets of the schools with law enforcement classes and journalisms.
"Sensei, I've been here for one year, and my Japanese has been getting better." Eddie looked through all files from the beginning of spring to the last week of winter semester. "You can even see for yourself that I got from fourteen to seventy points! I'm pretty sure seventy-five can be accepted to any of these schools!" Eddie researches his ideal schools making sure he at least passes his Japanese in a certain average grade.
"I'm sorry, but the results of your tests aren't exactly what they want from someone from a different nationality-" The teacher shuts his mouth for spilling something so degrading.
Eddie grabbed the school letters he had participated in.
The results show his scores and what was written on the letter.
"... Uncertainty of the Japanese language… The number of minorities is limited. Unfortunately, Edward Brock, despite your excellence of all grade average, we are not welcoming any more minorities in the Law Enforcement Programs… Any other schools are welcome to have you, just not this one…"
Eddie has read all letters of the same excuse.
All these excuses were unnecessary to the boy who had managed to get his Japanese to be perfect. Unfortunately, some parts of Japan are not welcoming to outsiders. With all rage inside Eddie, he ripped off all of the letters and threw them out of the window.
"Sensei…!" He called his counselor.
The teacher couldn't look at him directly because of the embarrassment of the education system. There really isn't anything they can do about it. Eddie left the room with a huge hollow in his chest.
Even though he will be graduating middle school, Eddie Brock had no justice.
After School
Afterwards, Eddie left the school and waited for the only friend he had since he moved here. Since he was the only person who looked more delinquent than anyone in the school. It shouldn't be his fault for having blonde hair and being taller than any of the classmates. At least one person had the audacity to show bits of humanity.
Eddie stayed for almost an hour for his friend. It shouldn't have taken this long since it's the last day.
As time still passed, Eddie decided to leave the school. Whatever took her so long must be a good reason. As he walked past his old classroom, Eddie realized he had just one thing he had to settle. Eddie right away heads inside to get his buttons. The buttons were meant to be given to his friend. And hopefully, he can get a chance to confess.
For a long time, Eddie had feelings for his friend. Today is the day he can confess to his love interest. It will be difficult since the two of them are going to different schools.
Eddie picked a school for just regular education. Even though it was unfair for him to not enroll in a high school with a college program with law enforcement.
Now, it will be difficult to stay on good terms with her while being in a separate school.
The moment he got his buttons, Eddie had some thought of giving his buttons specifically for her.
"At the very least," He thought to himself as he held onto the doorknob. Eddie heard two voices in the halls. It was his only friend and one of her friends talking about their future in their ideal school.
"I'm so jealous, you're going to UA!"
Eddie stopped holding onto the door.
"Yeah, I'm amazed I passed!" She said with low expectations.
"Are you kidding, of course you would pass! You have the skills of a fighter!" She complimented her soon-to-be UA student friend. "Have you told Eddie?" She asked.
"Eddie?" The UA student asked about Eddie.
"Yeah, aren't you two, like, really close?" She asked the UA student.
"Of course not," She answered. "Yeah, we talked, studied, and even enjoyed each other's company, but we're not like that… I don't really see us like that… instead, it's like… having a brother I can talk to."
Eddie stood there breathlessly. He didn't even move an inch.
"Really?" She teases her.
"Yeah, at least that's how It feels when we're together."
"Hahaha, you and your big sister vibes, always caring for everyone and seeing them as family."
"Shut up, it's not like that"
The two of them laughed in the hallway and headed straight out of the schoolyard they hope not ever return. And as for Eddie, he just left his buttons in his old desks. And with no confession necessary, Eddie went home with no luck.
Eddie went straight to his room after he made it home. He went rampage into his room ripping off the posters, the newspapers, and even his work desks. What they did to Eddie was something so inhuman and downgrading.
Of all times, why must people be so demeaning and hateful for someone who is from somewhere else?
It's an injustice.
Eddie didn't blame himself for being an American, and he didn't ask to be in a different country. All of this had happened because his aunt and uncle, from his mom's side, have never left Japan all their lives. Eddie's parents weren't on equal terms, in fact neither of them are in Eddie's life after the divorce. Unfortunately, both of them didn't have time to even focus on their own kin. Eddie's father still sends in the checks, as part of his child support law, and his mother is imprisoned for armed robbery and possibility of attempted murder.
Eddie didn't ask to be living in Japan. But because of the misfortune of his parents, and loss of love interest, Eddie suffers more problems than ever before.
Being a minority in a different country is heavy.
Eddie Brock Home
As he sat at the far corner of his room, a tapping came from his door.
"Edou!" His uncle called. "Are you alright, Edou?"
"I'm fine!" Eddie responded. "And stop calling Edou, Old Man!" Eddie demanded his name.
As rude Eddie was being to his uncle, the old man entered Eddie's room anyway for a chat. Eddie's uncle sat down on the bed eyeing at the room being destroyed. Eddie's uncle patted his head to calm him down. Immediately, Eddie threw his hand away from his head.
"I don't need your sympathy… I don't need anyone right now…" Eddie explained to his uncle. Eddie's uncle stayed in the room seeing his nephew enraged and upset.
"... Everyone needs someone… Edou…" Eddie's uncle said. "If there is something wrong, it's always best to ask for help…" He continued explaining to his nephew.
"Then… You think you can change everything!" Eddie outburst his uncle. "You think you can change someone's race? Or change for who they are? Or maybe… never existed!?" Eddie continued being as sociopathic he is.
"... And what will that do?" His uncle asked, hugging him. "Edou, I know you never like living in Japan… And I know you are going through so much… But that should not stop you for the greater things you can achieve…" His uncle explained a little life lesson.
"I can't make any achievements… I never made any…" Eddie said crying onto his uncle's shoulder. "Life's not fair! My life is not fair! I got nothing…" Eddie continued downgrading himself from the letters.
His uncle looked at the letters written from one of the schools. And as much as Eddie was angry, his uncle was more furious on the inside.
"... And you're just gonna let one letter get to you?" Eddie's uncle asked.
"It's not just a letter… It's an opportunity for making a difference… It's so I can get things done with the right just!" Eddie snarled at the letter before ripping it apart.
His uncle refuses to let the letter, or his own ego, get to him.
"And your own just isn't achievable?"
Eddie looked at his uncle who was giving him the good vibes he needed.
"You're talented, Edou." His uncle explains everything Eddie needed to hear. "You are given a gift of true justice, and it should never go to waste by people's words. You may not have a quirk, your gift is your own sense of justice. Your justice is your great power, a power of which must be used responsibly." Eddie's uncle said enough of his lecture. "Now, how about we celebrate your graduation!" Eddie's uncle suggested. "What do you want? Karage? Ramen? Katsudon? Tempura? How about a buffet?" Eddie's uncle highly suggested the food choice for their special occasion.
However, Eddie doesn't want anything. Nothing is special for him.
"Make whatever you want… I'm not hungry…" Eddie said upsettingly.
The two of them have parted, and Eddie is still in denial of the gift he supposedly has.
"He's having it hard…" Eddie's uncle said.
"We must leave him be, Satoshi…" Satoshi's wife is cooking a feast. "He's having a bad day… and He knows you are trying to cheer him up." Satoshi's wife explained with positive feedback.
"I don't think it's just his school… It's probably girl trouble.." Satoshi said looking at the article of Heroes.
"And what sort of girl would hurt our Eddie?" She asked with a menacing atmosphere. She instantly cut the vegetables' godspeed. "I would Love to meet the lady who supposedly broke Eddie's heart!" She finished chopping everything into multi-combo.
"Such a heart, and such a killer instinct," Satoshi cuddled his wife. "That's what I love about you, my lovely Izumi!" Satoshi flirted with his wife with physical closure.
"Stop it," She asked Satoshi with embarrassment. "Satoshi!~ I'm frying food! Hehehe"
They may not know it, but Eddie is clearly hearing everything between the thin walls in a small apartment.
"... Oi!" Eddie whispered with annoyance.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Mustafa…
Somewhere underneath a bridge, a wounded man was being killed. He was running from the cops, but had a lesser success in the armed robbery.
"Fucking Hounds…" He said coughing out blood. "This… Shouldn't be a problem… I can heal quickly… and then… I'll- cough!"
Pathetic…
The voice in his head said to him.
This isn't working out…
"What do you mean… Heal me!" The armed robber asked.
No… we are no longer connected… you are just an asshole… It was my mistake for have you as my host… you're worthless…
"I kept us alive…"
You have done nothing… we're done here…
The voice in his head left the building.
The thing leaving his body was a strange goo. When it leaves, the armed robber has only a few couple seconds to live.
"Damn you… Damn you…! Venom!"
I must find a host… someone more suitable than that asshole… Someone who can make us… the perfect match…
Night
Eddie looked up at the ceiling.
His head was in the clouds full of anger, sadness, and discouragement.
Even if Eddie's uncle may be right, it doesn't change the fact that there is no justice at all. There has never been any justice since he moved here in Japan. His father turned him into a permanent bastard and disowned him, and his mother is imprisoned from a crime she may or may have committed.
Honestly, there is no justice.
"... Dammit." Eddie got up from his bed and put on his casual sweats.
Eddie stepped out of the house and begin heading to the nearest store.
"... Edou?" Satoshi looked outside seeing his nephew taking a stroll this late.
"... Satoshi?" Izumi called her husband.
"I'm sorry, but it seems like Edou went out on his own…" Satoshi grabbed his coat and began to leave. "I'm going after him, making sure he's safe."
"Be careful…"
"I know…"
The married couple kiss before departing.
…
"Hey, Mrs. Cheng." Eddie greeted the store owner.
"... It's late, Eddie." The old lady told him his curfew time.
Eddie didn't care. It's obvious he's not going to school since his rejection letter.
"Does it matter to you?" He rudely asked the old lady.
"Education is important, Eddie. Knowledge is everything!" She kept reminding him.
"Yeah, what would you know?" Eddie continued his sass. "You finished middle school and built a store."
"It wasn't my dream to begin with, but I had no choice."
"Then why bother telling me? You're not my mother or my grandma." Eddie went to the far back after what he said to Mrs. Cheng.
With no comeback, Mrs. Cheng just minded her own business as she sat there at the cash register. Mrs. Cheng may not be part of his life, but she had known him for over a year. Eddie would always come here for either snacks or Shonen Magazine.
Tonight, he just needs something to ease his frustration.
Coming in from outside, a person came into the store and threw the bag.
"Put the money in the bag!" He answered to Mrs. Chen pulled out a revolver.
After hearing him threatening Mrs. Chen, Eddie just stood in front of the refrigerated beverages.
He looked at the man who pulled out his gun from the reflection.
Mrs. Cheng grabbed all the money from the register and the man repeatedly threatened her. Eddie and the gunman made direct eye contact from the reflection.
In Eddie's case, this should be something heroes or an idiot would do to stop him. All Eddie did was just look at the man wearing a black beanie and sunglasses covering his face. Lastly, there was a star tattoo on my right hand. Eddie just stood there with no trace of worrying for Mrs. Cheng. Rather than making a move he just stood there minding his own business.
In Eddie's point of view, this has nothing to do with him.
Instead of being the man of justice, Eddie stands his ground and lets injustice take over.
The gunman left with all the money in the bag.
Mrs. Cheng stood there with disappointment.
She looked at Eddie, Eddie looked at her, and then the both of them looked at the door hearing a gunshot.
The two of them get down on the ground.
Slowly, Eddie got up and finally took action.
Eddie walked out of the store seeing there was no one outside. However, across the street there was a shadowy figure lying down on the ground.
Eddie walked forward one step at a time.
Mrs. Cheng followed the boy.
The two of them got closer to view the mystery person.
Just as they were halfway, the person on the ground is someone closer to Eddie.
Eddie dropped everything he has on him.
He walked and then ran to the victim. Eddie slowly called his name while crying, Uncle.
"... Old man… Old man…!" He kept calling his name and got a closer look at him bleeding.
"Hey…! Come on…! Hold it together…! Don't die on me…! Uncle…! Uncle…!"
Eddie continuously calls his uncle.
Aside from him, Mrs. Cheng immediately called the ambulance.
Sadly, Satoshi's life was far too late.
"... Uncle…"
An Encounter
Satoshi's funeral was held a week later.
Some of the relatives from Eddie's side give their respect to his lost uncle and his family.
Eddie's dad was the only one who didn't show up, of course, why would he?
After Satoshi's death, Izumi and Eddie haven't spoken a single word. The two of them didn't make any contact after Satoshi's death. Both of them just stayed in their own room mourning for their lost loved one.
Soon after, Eddie couldn't stop grieving in his room forever.
Eddie took this time to visit his uncle's grave.
In front of him was his uncle who was buried for two weeks after his funeral. Eddie couldn't handle the guilt being inside. Eddie just did the opposite of what Satoshi had told him to do when it comes to doing the right thing.
"... I'm sorry…" Eddie continuously apologized. "If only I had stopped him… If only I listened…" Eddie cried in front of his deceased uncle.
As Eddie continued crying, crawling from the grass was a dark creature. Eddie did not notice the strange being coming closer to him. As it gotten closer, it felt something coming from Eddie.
The being started to make his attack with no one around.
Eddie was attacked.
Eddie was starting to feel cringe from the strange motion.
His mind and body were starting to intertwine in a good balance. The being was getting Eddie's body in better shape than he was in weeks.
The feeling was hard to explain for Eddie. The voices started to come through his mind. But the voices in his head belong to someone else.
"Anger… Sadness… Hate… Guilt… Justice…!"
"W-Who is that!?" Eddie was having a feeling of a seizure. More like a heart attack. All his body was uncontrollable. "Let go! Let me go-"
"No…" The being refused. "We… Are a perfect match…!"
Eddie's head once again is in the clouds. The memories come across his mind like a negative film.
"... What is this?" Eddie asked himself. "All my feelings… their… they lifted… why?" Eddie's guilt has been lifted. "This… This feels good!" Eddie said to himself.
Eddie wasn't feeling sad anymore. His emotions are completely settled. His anger, his hate, his guilt, all of it was gone.
"This… Is this right…?" Eddie started asking himself.
"It does feel good…"
Eddie looked around trying to figure out who was talking.
"What you feel is how I feel, We are but one emotion, We can be more…"
"Who… Who said that!?" Eddie yelled at the cemetery. " I can't really tell if it is right…" Eddie wanted to deny the feeling.
"Yes… Yes… this feeling you have is what caught my attention… It's so good it makes us one…!"
"I don't know you! But we are nothing-"
"Oh, but we are! See for yourself…"
Eddie was lost when he said that.
Suddenly, from far, someone was shrieking for help.
"3 men… assaulting one woman nearby."
Eddie was out of control. His own body was being under control by itself; Eddie was doing things he never thought he could have done. He was flabbergasted from all these movements and techniques. He literally just jumped from the ground to the very top of an apartment complex. Soon, he landed almost one hundred feet on the ground.
Eddie landed where the attack was happening.
"... Um…" Eddie asked awkwardly.
"The hell is this kid?" One of them asked the woman with a knife against the woman.
"Um… let her go…!" Eddie threatened them.
The other two pulled out their guns.
Eddie raised his arms up.
"What are you doing!?"
"I am… Surrendering… Because they have weapons-" His arms are down.
"You are embarrassing us!"
"No I'm Not!"
"Yes You are!"
"No I'm Not..!"
"Yes! You! Are!"
"Who the fuck are you talking to!?" Asking the boy putting his arms up and down.
"Shoot him!"
They all gunned down the kid until a shield was made from Eddie's right arm. The shield turned into tendrils slamming each of them from wall to wall. The debris got them into the worst concussion they will have in the morning.
"Um…"
The lady immediately ran away from what was going on.
Eddie felt a little hollow again after what just happened. Obviously, he was doing something unnecessary.
"Okay… So… I just did that…"
"We just just did that…"
"Right, of course."
"Great, now eat their heads!
"Wait! What!?"
They were interrupted from a surprise attack. Luckily, Eddie pushed the criminal against the wall.
Eddie's arm transformed into a monstrous arm. Soon, Eddie's whole body has transformed.
In front of the criminal was like looking at a nightmare.
Eddie was no longer human than he was, or even quirkless at that matter. No, this isn't even a quirk. This thing is something out of a horror movie, a monster.
His eyes are big and white, his teeth are sharpened, and everything on his body is pitch black.
"Eyes… Lungs… Pancreas… So many snacks… So little time…!"
The creature's mouth was widened revealing all teeths and tongue. It was ready to take one bite off the criminal's head.
Suddenly, the gun was fired at Eddie.
He threw the criminal at his hand, and chomp on the gunman's head.
Soon, cop sirens were coming in close.
"We need to run…" He jumped on top of the building and soon started running.
"Stop right there! Police Department!" A detective in a trench coat orders the criminals to stop. However, there was already a dead victim and two survivors. One of the survivors is completely frightened of what had happened.
Venom
"Holy crap…!" Eddie yelled looking at the view of the city. "Holy crap.. Holy crap… Oh my god… I just ate that guy's head! Hell, I just committed a crime!"
Eddie looked back at the misdeed he had done.
As he was thinking over and over, something was coming out of his back. The being revealed himself physically, but just like a giant snake with a widened smile.
"... W-what the hell are you…?"
"... I am Venom! And you are mine!"
"You ate somebody's head off…"
"Fueling the tank."
Eddie couldn't move. It was more like a nightmare than a dream. But all is real as he tries to wake up.
"You seek Justice for the man who killed Satoshi…" Venom tells Eddie's purpose.
"How do you know that..?"
"I know everything about you… I am in your head… I see all of your memories…" Venom explained the connection between those two. "I know you are a loser, Eddie…"
Eddie shakes his head of denial. Now he knows he might be dreaming.
"Why are you here… What do you want from me…?"
"Listen closely, Eddie… You did not find us… We have found you… You are my ride…"
"And… what do you want?"
"I want to be here… Be part of you… Achieve your goal of Justice…" Venom found a new purpose here on earth.
It was time to not be with scum like the robber, and start something new.
"... I… Don't know what to do…" Eddie can't think of anything.
Venom coughed out a flier inside his body.
Eddie got the flier off his face even though it's covered in saliva.
"UA Academy…?" Eddie never thought about going to Hero school. "Why?"
"If we enter this school… we can learn more about ourselves, develop new powers, and get more knowledge…" Venom explained what they can achieve from UA.
"I mean, I think Mrs. Cheng said something like that?" Eddie looked back at his mistake. "But I wanted to be part of the law enforcement…"
"Enrolling at a Hero School is more superior than some bullshit school who have strict limits…" Venom said. "Think of it, We can accomplish true justice, we can save people, and most of all, we can avenge Satoshi."
Eddie really never thought about being a hero.
Then it reminded him of what his uncle had told him. And because he ignored the gift he had he lost his uncle from a criminal Eddie ignored.
No one should ever lose their loved ones.
"... With great power… Comes with great responsibility…"
Eddie did not take charge of anything.
It was time for Eddie himself to not let anyone push him around anymore. Eddie Brock is going to be sure that true justice is served.
For the people and for what his uncle believed in Eddie.
This is the story of Eddie Brock and Venom.
And how They became Japan's Lethal Protector!
