Seth laid on his back and looked up at the lights above while Roman's song was playing. This was it. His final moment inside a WWE ring. They had tried convincing him for the last six weeks to sign a new contract but he was done. He had asked to go out on his back to Roman. Not that Roman needed the win, but it just felt right going out next to one of his two brothers that he had entered with back in 2012.
He finally left the ring and walked backstage to shower and get dressed. He said his goodbye to everyone, hugging and shaking hands, sharing a few tears and promises of keeping in touch, and then he finally got out in his car. He drove home one last time but only to pick up the trailer with his things. The house had been sold, and he had donated everything inside it to charity.
"I'm coming home," he said.
He drove all night and arrived in front of the house with the red brick walls early next morning. They had kept in touch over the last six weeks. Despite him telling her again and again that he was coming home, it was like she didn't exactly believe him. She would now. He was finally home.
The front door opened and Buddy came sprinting out. Seth left the car to greet the old dog. He looked up towards the house where Licia stood. She wore that same dusty pink tank top like last time, this time compared with a pair of navy blue panties. He smirked at her, walked up to her, grabbed her and kissed her.
"I'm home, babe," he said.
"Welcome home, darling," she said. "Is all your stuff in the trailer or will I be expecting a moving truck later?"
"No, I got rid of everything. I got my personal belongings and all my wrestling gear in the trailer. I was hoping I could turn one of the rooms in the back into some sort of nostalgic room from my wrestling days," he said.
"I already cleared it for you," she smirked. "Come on, I know you, Seth. I knew you'd do something like that, and I would never want to erase your past even if it was what originally split us apart."
He leaned down, kissed her, and smiled against her lips.
"I'm home now," he said.
"Finally," she said.
"Finally," he agreed. "And I was thinking we could go out today and buy a fence for the garden and then start looking into getting some goats."
"I want three," she said.
"And three you shall have," he chuckled. "As many as you want."
"Bribing your way back in with goats, eh?" She asked jokingly.
"Whatever works," he smirked.
She laughed and it made him smile. He had missed hearing that so much.
"How about you go around back and get some eggs and make me an omelet while I shower real quickly? You kinda owe me an omelet since last time ended up being a disaster," she said.
"A disaster?" He laughed. "It got cold. But yeah, I'll do that. It'll give me some time to greet the chickens as well. Come on, Buddy. Let's go get some eggs."
"There's a basket on the kitchen table you can carry them in," she said.
He walked into the house and grabbed the basket. Buddy followed him outside. He talked to the chickens while getting the eggs. He walked back inside and made an omelet. She came back wearing a black and pink striped, knee long dress.
"You look stunning," he said.
"Thank you, darling," she said.
She walked over and kissed him. He pointed at the table and she sat down. He served the omelet and they both dug in. She smiled at the taste, and her smile wore off on him.
"I've missed this," she said.
"Me too," he said.
He took a bite himself, chewing slowly while watching her eat.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing," he smiled again. "I just feel like I can finally breathe again."
She lowered her fork and smiled back at him. Tears started forming in his eyes. Happy tears this time around.
"I'm home," he said.
"You're home," she said. "And I will tie you to a chair if I have to. You better not leave me again, mister Rollins."
He laughed at that statement and pointed his fork at her.
"The way I remember it, you're the one who enjoys being tied down," he said.
"Seth!" She gasped.
He smirked at her and took another bite of the omelet.
"I love you," he said. "I've always loved you and I always will."
