It was Friday night Amber, Will, and Jay all had the night off so they decided to head out for a night on the town. Jay being the responsible one of course got them an Uber so they could leave their cars at home.

"Amber our ride is here let's go!" Jay called up the stairs in Amber's house.

"Be down in a second!" Amber shouts as she is taking one last look in the mirror. She was wearing a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, black tank top, leather jacket and black ankle boots.

Amber grabs her bag and heads downstairs. Jay and Will are standing at the bottom waiting for her. "About time princess." Jay smirks.

Amber sticks out her tongue. "It takes time to look this good. It's a process and it can't be rushed. " The Halstead brothers laugh as they rush Amber out to the car.

The drive to the bar was rather comical. Amber stuck in the middle of the two brothers who anytime they went around a corner tried to squish her into the other brother. They both thought it was absolutely hilarious but Amber kept shooting them death glares every time they did it. They were acting like 5 years olds.

They finally arrive at the bar and exit the Uber. Amber tells Jay to make sure he tipped the driver extra since he had to wait a minute. They walk up the couple steps to the front door and Will pulls the door open and holds it so the other two can enter.

Amber looked around the bar, it was rather empty but it was only like 8pm so the night was young. Will and Amber find a table while Jay goes and grabs three beers.

Jay brings the beers over and informs Amber that these three were on the house, since she saved Capitan Casey. Amber looks behind the bar and sees an older gentleman, she recognizes him from the group of firefighters that was in the waiting room the day Casey was brought in.

They both wave at one another and then go about their night. Jay is telling them all about this undercover operation he just finished up. Amber honestly wasn't paying any attention to what Jay was talking about. She was too busy playing with the label on her bottle and thinking about Kelly.

As if the universe had read her mind the door to Molly's came open and in walks none other than Kelly Severide and Matthew Casey. Amber felt her heart skip a beat at the very sight of Kelly.

Will and Jay had both noticed how distracted Amber seemed to be. They both looked towards the door and saw Kelly. Will rubs his hand across Amber's back trying too comfort her. She never talked about what happened between her and Kelly but he knew whatever it was hurt her so deep she hadn't dated anyone since.

"We can go somewhere else if you'd like?"

Amber finally tore her eyes away from Kelly to look at the Halstead brothers. "No it's fine." Amber picks up her beer and finishes it. "I need something stronger." Amber slides off her bar stool and heads for the bar.

Amber leans on the bar while waiting for one of the bartenders to finish up what they were doing. She feels a presence next to her so she looks to her left and sees Matt.

"Hey Matt. How you feeling?"

"Good. Pain is mostly gone should return to work in a couple shifts."

Amber smirked at Matt."That's awesome. How about we try not to end up back in the ER?"

Matt let out a little chuckle. "I'll try not too."

Gabby had finished serving her current customer and made her way over towards Amber and Matt. "You need another beer Amber?"

Amber turned back towards the bar. "Long Island and shot of grey goose." Gabby nodded and went to make her drink.

"You trying to get drunk quick?"

"You could say that."

Gabby brought back Amber's drink and shot. Amber quickly drowned the shot before grabbing the drink. She was getting ready to head back to the table when Matt stopped her.

"Kelly told me what happened in the hospital." Matt was trying to gauge Amber's reaction but she had always been hard to read.

"It was just a hug Matt. I hug people all the time." Amber had a half mind to order another shot.

"Well by the sounds of it, it wasn't just a hug. He said you two stood their for quite awhile hugging. Saying how you missed each other."

"What's your point Matthew?" Amber was becoming more annoyed by Matt's talking.

"He was hurting too Amber. It wasn't..."

Amber interrupted Matt "He had a damn funny way of showing it! My stuff wasn't even out of the apartment yet! I came to get my stuff and there was some chick wearing only just his shirt and prancing around his apartment!" The words rolled off Amber's tongue full of venom and distaste.

Matt didn't say anything else as Amber made her way back to the table where Jay and Will were who had seen the exchange between Matt and her. Amber hopped back onto her seat and setting her drink down on the table.

"Everything alright?" Amber just nodded her head not wanting to get into it. The Halstead brothers both understood that sometimes she just didn't want to talk about certain aspects of her life. They would drop it and they would move on.

It was around 1 am and Amber looked around the bar noticing it was mostly empty except for a few firefighters from Kelly's house were still there. Amber had lost count of how many long islands and shots she had had. She was definitely drunk and feeling invincible.

Amber was moving her glass in a way making the contents swirl. Her attention was fully on her glass not paying attention to anything around her. Then someone cleared their throat. Amber looked up to see those blue eyes that she had fallen so in love with the first day they met.

"Kel?"

"Why'd you come back?" Kelly was using the table to hold himself up as he was also drunk.

"Because Chicago is my home." Amber was slurring her words. The Halstead brothers were watching very intently waiting to see if they needed to step in.

"You swore you would never come back. Not after everything!" The anger in Kelly's voice was becoming more clear.

Matt hadn't even notice Kelly had gotten up since he was talking to Gabby. But when Kelly's voice got louder he jumped up and went over to Amber's table and tried pulling Kelly away.

"Get Off Casey." Kelly tried to shrug Matt off of him.

"Severide it's time to go home." Casey tried pulling Kelly away again.

"My heart always belongs in Chicago. New York never felt like home." Amber slid off her seat signaling she was ready to go home.

"You wasted no time leaving!"

"And you wasted no time replacing me!!!" Amber got up in Kelly's face. Will and Jay both jump up to try and get between Kelly and Amber.

"You changed! You left me!" Casey was trying to pull Kelly towards the door as Amber and him continued to exchange words.

"Of course I changed!!! I almost died! I'm sorry my life choices didn't fit your fantasy!!!" Amber was starting to choke back the tears.

"Alright Severide that's enough. Let's go." Casey and Herman manage to get Kelly outside before any more words could be exchanged.

"I wasn't done talking to her!" Kelly tried to make his way back inside but was blocked by Herman and Casey.

"You're done talking to her tonight. Now get in the fucking truck!" Casey was done with Kelly's shit for the night. The conversation he was trying to have with Amber should of been done in private.

Casey and Herman get Severide into Casey's truck before they head home. Hermann goes back into the bar to see Will and Jay trying to comfort Amber.

"He's gone sweetheart."

All Amber could do was nod her head. Will and Jay paid their tabs and helped Amber out to the Uber and headed back to her place to sleep.
