Kelly was leading Amber out of the firehouse when a picture caught her eye. Amber stopped and looked at the photo of Andy in his dress blues.

Kelly noticed the photo she was looking at. "I still miss him."

Amber turned her attention back to Kelly. "What happened?"

"Flash over. Matt sent him in through the upstairs window. Squad and I went in through the back. Someone should of cut a vent but it was too late." Kelly shoved his hands in his pockets.

"That must of tore Matt and you apart."

Kelly wasn't going to tell Amber the whole story. Matt and him had moved passed it and that's what mattered. "It almost tore this house apart."

Amber was going to ask more questions but then Casey came in from the apparatus floor. "Amber, Jay just pulled up."

"Okay?" Amber thought this was strange. She had driven herself to the firehouse. Why was Jay at 51?

Amber and Kelly made their way outside. Kelly took a seat at the squad table while Amber met Jay just outside of the apparatus doors. "Hey Jay."

"Hey gorgeous." Jay wrapped her in a hug and placed a kiss to her cheek.

"What are you doing here?"

"Came to talk to Casey and Severide actually." Jay held up a folder in his hand.

"Oh okay. I'll see you later then?"

"Yeah maybe we can meet for lunch?"

"Sounds like a plan." Amber started to head towards her car so she could go run a few errands.

"Amber?"

The sound of her name causing her to stop and turn around. "Yes Jay?"

Jay didn't speak he just walked right to her placing a hand in her hair and placing a kiss to her lips. Amber wrapped her arms around Jay's neck and fell deeper into the kiss.

Matt was watching as Kelly stared at Amber and Jay with a look of jealousy on his face.

Once Jay and Amber stopped kissing, Jay headed onto the apparatus floor and Amber left the firehouse.

"Halstead what do we owe the pleasure?"Casey thought it be better if he asked verses Kelly who looked like he might tear Jay's head off.

"I need to talk to you and Severide."

Casey motioned for Kelly to follow Jay and him into the firehouse. The three of them entered the conference room and closed the door behind them.

"What's going on Halstead?"

"We have an arsonist on the lose." Both Casey and Severide straighten up a little. "Intelligence was brought in because we now have a Jane Doe in the morgue."

"How can we help?"

"I need you guys to keep an eye on any fires you respond too. See if it was arson or if there is someone on scene watching that doesn't look like they belong."

"Why?" Kelly was leaning against a table with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Because we have zero leads and we believe some small fires have been dismissed as accidents."

Severide narrows his eyes at Jay. "So what your saying is we aren't doing our jobs correctly."

Matt was watching between Jay and Kelly to see how this was going to play out. "That's not at all what I said Severide."

"You may of not said it directly but it was implied." Tension was beginning to rise in the room.

"Look Severide I meant nothing by it. We just don't want any more bodies in the morgue." Jay extends the folder he was carrying out to Kelly. "Take a look. Let me know what you think."

Casey took the folder as it appeared Severide had no intentions of taking it. "Thanks Jay. We will let you know."

Jay nodded and headed out of the conference room. Matt turned around and glared at Kelly. "Seriously dude?"

"What?"

"I know your salty about Amber and him but come on. We have a job to do and it can't be clouded by our personal lives." Casey hands the file to Kelly. "Now put your big boy pants on and let's do our jobs."

"Fine." Kelly took the file from Matt who then exited the conference room. Kelly went to his office to begin looking over the file Jay had brought them.

Amber was sitting in a diner waiting on Jay to join her for lunch. She was scrolling through her phone when she felt someone sit down across from her. She looked up to see Jay.

"Hey there." Amber smiled and placed her phone in her purse.

"Hey sorry I'm late. Just this arson case we are working." Jay started to look at the menu trying to decide what he wanted.

"Oh is that what you wanted to talk to Kelly and Matt about?" Amber already knew what she wanted.

"Yeah it was. Just trying to make sure the body count doesn't go to high." Jay's eyes were scanning up and down the pages of the menu.

"How many so far?"

"Just the one but she is a Jane Doe."

Amber's stomach turned at the thought of the girl in the morgue with no name or possibly no one looking for her either. She never understood how something like that could happen but she had seen it time and time again in the ER.

A waitress came over and they both order a cheese burger and fries.

"You guys got any leads?" Amber takes a drink of her water.

"No not yet..." Jay trailed off as his phone started ringing. "Halstead... yes... I'll send you my location." Jay ended the phone call. "Kelly needs to talk about the case so he is on his way up here."

"Oh okay." Amber was a little disappointed that Jay would be distracted on their lunch date.

"I'm sorry Amber but this case could turn bad quick. So we need to get the guy off the streets ASAP."

"I understand." Amber had grown use to Jay bailing on her. Something always seemed to come up even when Will, Jay, and her were hanging out together.

The two went on to talk about anything other than Jay's case. Their food had just been delivered when Kelly walked into the diner wearing his squats jacket and blue pants. Kelly also had his radio wrapped around his shoulder.

"Severide!" Jay got Kelly's attention and motioned for him to join them. Jay moved to the other side of the table so he could sit next to Amber.

"Hey guys." Kelly took up Jay's vacant seat.

"Whatcha got for me Severide?"

"I've got some potential matches for fires that look the same as yours." Kelly slid a folder over to Jay.

Jay quickly picked it up and began flipping through the photos. Jay doesn't waste anytime before calling his Sargent Hank Voight, and telling him what Severide had found.

After Jay was off the phone he shoved his phone in his pocket. "Thank you Severide. Amber, can you box my food up and take it back to your house?"

"Sure thing Jay."

"Perfect. Thanks." Jay placed a kiss to Amber's cheek before he ran out of the diner.

"Sorry that I interrupted your guys lunch."

"Don't worry about it Kelly. It comes with the territory of seeing someone whose a detective."

"Oh so Jay and you are a thing?" Kelly had really been hoping that maybe they weren't a thing.

"I guess." Amber shrugged her shoulders. "We haven't put a title on it nor have we said anything to Will. Not sure if we are ready to open that can of worms."

"Your secret is safe with me." Kelly flashed her one of his knee buckling smiles.

Amber felt her cheeks turn a light pink from blushing. "Thanks Kelly."

Squad 3 house fire

"See you around Amber."

"See you around Kelly."

Amber watched as Kelly left the diner getting into his car and heading towards the call. She enjoyed the rest of her lunch before boxing Jay's food up and heading home.
