The Hotshot
One day, Elite Four Member Flint invited me to Stark Mountain for a rematch. Dawn tagged along. She expressed concern about Flint and I having a battle near an active volcano. I assured her everything would be fine.
He called out a Houndoom. I called out my Infernape. Infernape outmaneuvered Houndoom and knocked it out with only one Close Combat attack.
He sent out a Flareon. I recalled Infernape and sent out my own Flareon. Our Flareon were evenly matched in power. My Flareon knocked his out with two Superpower moves, but not before getting hit with Quick Attack and a Giga Impact move.
He called out a Rapidash. I recalled Flareon and called out my own Rapidash. Our Rapidash were evenly matched in power and speed. My Rapidash knocked out his with two Drill Run attacks, but not before getting hit and paralyzed by a Bounce attack.
He sent out an Infernape. I recalled Rapidash and sent my own Infernape back out. Our Infernape were evenly matched in speed and power. They exchanged Earthquakes until his Infernape was knocked out.
He called out a Magmortar. I recalled Infernape and called out my own Magmortar. Our Magmortar were evenly matched in power. My Magmortar knocked his out with two Earthquakes, but not before getting hit with Hyper Beam moves.
"Whew. Burnt right down to cinders. You and your Pokémon are hot stuff!" he said.
We heard a faint cry from deep inside the volcano. We rushed in. On top of a stone altar was the Magma Stone. Resting beneath the altar was a Heatran. The Magma Stone glowed and fell to the ground.
Heatran awakened and began to go on a rampage. Heatran unleashed Fire-type attacks everywhere. I had to use my entire party just to battle it.
I chucked multiple Poké Balls at it before I caught it. He was impressed I managed to catch a Legendary Pokémon. I now had every Sinnoh region Fire-type Pokémon registered in my Pokédex.
"Your spirit burns hot. Your whole team does," he said.
