"Okay dudes." Soos said, speaking to Waddles and Melody. "First things first...are you real? or am I like dreaming right now?"

Melody looked to him confused, whilst waddles stared plainly with his piggly expression.

"I ask you this because this is some surreal stuff we're seeing here." He said "and that giant face in the horizon, is seriously really creeping me out? So uhh... this like a total dream, right?"

"This feels real to me." Melody said

"Oh man." Soos said in response. "Ohh mann. What do we do?"

"I uhh, honestly don't know." Melody said, "But maybe he does."

She pointed out towards a heavyset bald man, wearing a gray jumpsuit and steampunk goggles. He seemed to be in a panic, walking up the down the beach shore mummering something.

"I think- I met that guy once.'" Soos said. "At the fair, and also that whole issue with the infinite pizza slice."

"Infinite what?" Melody said

"Infinity wish, timeless wish?" Soos said, "Something like that, I kinda forgot."

"Okay...Just who is he then, exactly?" Melody asked.

"Some sort of time traveler I think." Soos answered, "Best go talk to him, Maybe he knows what's going on. Anyone involved with Dipper and Mabel probably does."

"And if they don't?" Melody asked.

"Ha, then we're doomed." Soos replied, so nonchalantly.

Oh god. Melody thought

As they approached the stranger in the jumpsuit, Blendin Blandin himself was busy working on his time tape, until he noticed the strange trio.

"What? Who- You." Blendin Blandin said, recognizing Soos.

"Thank god you recognized me dude. I don't know what I would've done if you didn't." Soos said, "Do you have any idea what's going on here?"

"Do you?" Blendin asked, and Soos just stared at him plainly.

"Do you even know why you're here?" Blendin asked for a second time.

"No..." Soos answered, "That's-that's kinda why I asked."

And Blendin groaned.

"The timeline in this world is all messed up, and now it's interfering with ours." He said, "Something in one of our continuities, or maybe theirs, must've occurred to trigger this. And so the anomaly removal crew tasked me with fixing it...as always."

"Seems like a pretty hefty job." Soos said, "I mean look around the place."

"I know. It's a horror show" Blendin responded. "But nonetheless, I have to fix it. Right now, I'm trying to pinpoint what exactly in this universe could've happened to cause this massive shift into ours. So far all I know is that it happened between this time and an earlier. And in our timeline, the activation of the portal, but I'm not sure when."

"That's interesting and all dude, and I get you're on the job but..."

"But what?" Blendin asked

"Can you ask one of your guys to maybe get us home, y'know back to gravity falls." Soos said, "I mean as interesting as this all is, I really should be watching over the shack, I really don't want Stan to find the place all messed up, especially knowing that Dipper and Mabel are there."

"Do you realize what will happen if I don't fix this?" Blendin said ignoring his whole request.

"No, but it can't be good." Soos said, "This is time we're talking about, and if i've learned anything from time travel movies, it's that if you mess with time, it tends to mess back. And I don't wanna mess with time dude."

"I honestly don't have the time to go back to the time baby." Blendin said

"Dude, you're a time traveler. You've got all the time in the world." Soos countered.

"Shut up and hold onto the time tape." Blendin said, and the trio did as he asked, taking hold of the time tape as he pulled it. And then in a flash they were somewhere else entirely. Away from the beach, they found themselves at...

Nerv HQ.

Mabel and her friends had followed Misato to a Laboratory - and also office - in the what seemed to be a huge military facility. They watched as she spoke with a blonde haired women with glasses. being that they were unable to understand a thing being said, to them it looked like they were arguing.

"How did three teenage girls get past our security and into the heart of our base, without anyone saying anything." Ritsuko asked, flabbergasted.

"I don't know." Misato answered. "I just found them here."

"Is that suppose to be a joke?" Ritsuko asked

"Do I look like i'm joking to you?" Misato countered.

"Who are they? And where do they come from?" Ritsuko asked again.

"I. do. not. know." Misato again answered, emphasising this time. "And don't bother trying to communicate, they only speak english."

"English huh?" Kaji said entering the room. "I know the tongue."

"How did you get in here?" Misato asked, irritated by his very presence.

"I kinda work here...remember?" Kaji said.

"You can speak english?" Ritsuko asked, budding in-between Misato and Kaji.

"Kind of." Kaji answered, "I learned the language while I was in Germany."

"You learned English in Germany?" Misato asked, in doubt.

"Ironic much?" Ritsuko proposed.

"It's weird, I know." Kaji said," But my German is not all that bad either."

"Well if you can, could you ask those three girls how they got in and what they were doing here exactly?" Ritsuko said.

"Sure." Kaji replied, approaching Mabel and her friends.

"Hello there." He greeted, "My name is Kaji...Ryoji Kaji."

"Nice to meet you Kaji-sir." Mabel said, holding out his her hand. And Kaji shook it awkwardly.

"Same, same." He said, with a smile.

"Uhmm...In any case, my friend here is a doctor of sorts." Kaji said, pointing out towards Ritsuko. "And she wants to know why exactly you snuck in here."

"We didn't." Mabel said.

"You didn't?" Kaji said inquisitively.

"Yeah, we were brought here." Mabel replied

"By who?" Kaji asked.

"Blue haired girl, red eyes, all silent and weird...I think her name was Rei?" Grenda said.

"Rei?" Kaji said, confused.

"What did they say about Rei?" Misato asked him.

"They said they were brought here...by Rei?" Kaji answered her.

"That doesn't sound right." Ritsuko said, "Are you sure your english is as good as you think it is."

"I'm not kidding." Kaji said. "Are you sure you were brought her by Rei?" Kaji again asked Mabel and her friends, and they all nodded in agreement.

"I think that's her name." Candy said, "At least that's what Shinji and Asuka said before they were taken away."

"Taken away?" Kaji said, "Taken away where?"

"That's what we were trying to figure out." Mabel said, "But before we could that Rei girl sent us here."

"What did they say?" Misato asked him, desperate for answers.

"Hold on." Kaji said, trying to process what Mabel had just said.

"You three, how do you know Shinji, Asuka, and Rei?"

"Well, We kinda met them." Mabel said, "Back in Gravity Falls."

"Rits, is there place called Gravity falls here in Tokyo-3?" He asked.

"No." Ritsuko replied, "At least I don't think so."

"If you're telling her to look for Gravity falls, you won't find it." Mabel said, "It's generally not safe to tell people this but..."

"We're from another world." Grenda said.

"And it's nothing like yours." Candy added.

"Another... what are you guys talking about?" Kaji said.

"Hey, wanna fill us in?" Misato said to him.

"Honest." Mabel said, "Couldn't make it up if I tried."

"That...doesn't make sense." Kaji said.

"Kaji come on, what did they say." Misato pressed him.

"They said they're from another world." He replied "One that's nothing like our own."

"Another world?" Ritsuko said, "That's not possible, that's science fiction. Are you sure she maybe didn't say 'country' instead of 'world', in some languages the word for world and country can be one in the same."

"Name a language like that?" Kaji countered.

"Okay, I can't but still..." Ritsuko said.

"I know what I heard Rits." Kaji said, still pondering over Mabel's words.

"And you say Rei - Rei Ayanami brought you here?" Kaji again asked Mabel.

"Yes." Mabel answered, for a third time.

"Call in Rei." Misato said.

And Ritsuko did indeed call Rei in, along with Shinji and Asuka. Who when they arrived were confronted by Mabel.

"That's them. they're the couple." She said, pointing out towards Shinji and Asuka. "And she's the one who took em."

"Couple?" Asuka said, looking towards Shinji. "Eww, no."

What did she say? Shinji wondered, for Asuka had spoken in english.

"Who are these people and what the hell is going on." she asked Misato and Kaji, along with Ritsuko.

"I'll explain soon." Misato said to Asuka.

"Rei." Kaji said, "Do you know who these three girls are?"

And Rei looked towards Mabel and her two best friends.

"No." Rei answered, "I do not."

"Fat chance I-"

"Mabel." Grenda said, holding her back. "Another world remember."

"Yeah but that doesn't change the time...line." Mabel said, realizing. "Wait a minute..."

"This Rei, probably isn't the Rei we saw." Candy said, "It's another one from this timelines past, present or future."

"But...wait..." Mabel said confused.

"Ughh, I hate Cross-dimensional time travel." Grenda said.

"I didn't quite catch that." Ritsuko said,

"Cross-dimensional time travel." Kaji repeated.

"That's...ridiculous" Ritsuko said. "Are you sure these girls aren't just crazy."

"They'd have to be, to sneak into Nerv." Misato commented.

"Is this a prank?" Kaji asked Mabel and her friends. "And are you three in on it?" He then asked Shinji, Asuka and Rei - in japanese.

"No." Asuka said, in english.

"I don't even know what's going on." Shinji said.

"Listen to me." Candy said to Kaji annoyed."A version of Rei from some point in your time, sent us back here, to your present, which I assume is your presumable past, after kidnapping those two." Candy said pointing towards Shinji and Asuka. "Who in our world I again assume, wanted to get back here, to you guys...maybe."

"Okay, but how would Rei even do that?" Kaji asked, "She's just a normal girl aside from the fact that she's an EVA pilot."

"She didn't look so normal to us." Mabel countered.

"What do you mean?" Kaji asked.

"She was busy flying and stuff, and even got them to levitate." She said, "Honestly speaking she was like, amongst many other things in Gravity Falls weird."

"That's just...not possible." Kaji said.

"These girls are crazy, I don't know why you're wasting your time with them." Asuka said.

"Either that or... I need professional opinion." Kaji said, shaking his head, "This is way out of my jurisdiction."

He then proceeded to explained everything to Ritsuko - and Misato - as Candy had to him. And Although Ritsuko was fascinated she just couldn't wrap her head around it.

"I hear what they're saying but it just doesn't add up." Ritsuko said.

"Why not?" Kaji asked.

"Rei just isn't capable of the feats they're describing." She answered, "And even if, say this were an angel imitating Rei, our records show no such Angel exists, or is yet too. I could get the Magi to run some calculations but that'll take some time and its probably a waste of resources."

"Really?" Kaji said, "With all we've seen you're telling me there's no...cross-dimensional time traveling angel?"

"By just saying it, you should realise how ridiculous that sounds." Ritsuko retorted.

"But if you recall the Sea Of Dirac, you called that Angels shadow a possible gateway to another dimension." Misato countered.

"I called the shadow itself a possible alternate dimension, it's no gateway." Ritsuko replied, "And that was a mathematical guess."

"You're telling me there's no other way these girls could've gotten here?" Kaji questioned.

"Definitely not by the snap of a few fingers." Ritsuko said.

"Hey how did you girls get here again?" Kaji asked Mabel and her friends.

"We told you, she sent us." Mabel said, pointing at Rei, who ignored her completely.

"No, I meant how exactly." Kaji specified. "What happened?"

"Oh, we were chasing after her and then she caught us in the middle of the forest." Mabel said

"And then she snapped her fingers and we in the blink of an eye, here." Grenda finished for here.

"What did they say?" Ritsuko asked.

"Rei basically snapped her fingers and they arrived here...at Nerv." Kaji reluctantly answered.

"Point-proven." Ritsuko said. "This is probably all one elaborate prank."

"No." Misato said, "They're too specific, and they don't look like they're lying."

"Rits, if they had to want to sort of cross over, what would they need to do?" Kaji asked

"Probably gain access to technology light years beyond our development." Ritsuko said.

"You girls wouldn't happen to have access to technology light years ahead of human development wouldn't you?" Kaji jested by asking Mabel.

"My grandfather built a trans-dimensional portal with a dream demon once." Mabel replied.

"You're grandfather did what now?" Kaji asked, whilst Asuka translated to Misato and Ritsuko.

"He built a portal once, but it's destroyed now." She said, "It was capable of going to a number of infinite dimensions, in fact he was even stuck in one of them, but we got him back...well my Gruncle did."

"I have no idea what a Gruncle is." Asuka said to Misato and Ritsuko.

"Heard that Rits." Kaji said, "They have a portal."

"Had." Asuka corrected him.

"Fine." Ritsuko said, "But that still doesn't explain how they got her through Rei, they didn't use the portal right? so..."

"But what if an Angel were to somehow fix and reconstruct it?" Misato asked.

"Even if it did the only way an Angel to possibly cross over into another dimension would be..." but then Ritsuko paused.

"Rits?" Misato asked.

"I think we broke her." Kaji said

"Wait." Ritsuko said, "Ask them if Shinji and Asuka mentioned anything about third impact?"

"Hey, you three." Asuka said to Mabel and her duo. "Did the Shinji's and Asuka's your talking about mention anything about Third-Impact?"

"Third Impact?" Candy said ; "What's that?" Grenda asked

"No." Mabel answered, "All we know is that they needed our help."

"They said no." Kaji said to Ritsuko.

"But to be fair, we were in a rush." Mabel added, "We honestly didn't have the proper time to actually talk to them about their situation. We were going to when we got back but..."

"Yeah, Rei happened." Kaji said. "You catch that Rits?"

"Yeah." Ritsuko said, thinking. "I did..."

"You thinking it's third impact?" Misato asked her.

"Time travel." Kaji said.

"Cross dimensional time travel." Mabel corrected, unapologetically.

"Rits? are we doomed to fail in stopping third impact?" Misato again asked Ritsuko, who was still in deep thought.

"I need to think." Ritsuko said, standing from her desk, proceeding to leave the room.

"Ritsuko?" Misato said following after her, but Kaji stopped her in tracks.

"What are you doing?" She said, "Let me go."

"She needs to figure this out on her own." Kaji said, "You pressuring her won't help."

"I'm not pressuring her I'm..." Misato paused.

"Come on." Kaji said, letting her go. "You know, she'll be back... hopefully with solutions."

"God dammit." Misato said. Kaji pulled out a cigarette leaning onto the wall.

"Hello? what's happening?" Mabel asked.

"And what about us?" Asuka said, "Can we go now?"

"No." Misato said. Just then she received a phone call. Now from the look on her face, Kaji new it wasn't good news.

"Soos?" Misato said, "Sore wa nan desu ka."

"Soos, she said Soos." Mabel said, from hearing Misato "He's our friend."

"The girl with the sweater says he's their friend." Asuka translated for her.

"Great." Misato said sarcastically, "Because that's what we need right now."

She then - also - left the room. Leaving Kaji alone with two pairs of separate trios

"Just who the hell are you girls anyway?" Kaji asked them.

"No one really?" Candy answered ; "Yeah we're just normal people." Grenda also answered.

"Trying to solve a mystery?" Mabel finally added.

"Mystery solvers huh?" Kaji said. "That's interesting...Very interesting."

"So, what we just wait?" Asuka said.

"That's right." Kaji replied.

What's going on? Shinji wondered, and Rei simply did not care to understand, and quite frankly neither did Asuka.

"Hey, how far along in the future were we?" Asuka asked Mabel.

"Hmm?" Mabel said looking to her.

"You called us a...a..."

"Couple." Kaji said for her.

"Yeah, that." Asuka said, "So tell me how far along were we."

"I don't know, it's like I said, we really didn't get the chance to talk to you much." Mabel answered

"Then in what way were we a couple?" She asked

"I don't know, I guessed I assumed since you looked it." Mabel said.

"Yeah, you two did give off that kinda vibe." Grenda added.

"Me and this idiot." Asuka said, "Not even in my wildest dreams."

"Okay, no need to reaffirm it with us." Mabel said

"Yeah, If it were really the case, you wouldn't be so worried about it." Candy pointed out.

"Who said I was worried?" Asuka said

"You cared enough to ask." Mabel said, "And honestly its the only thing you seemed to care about since they called you here."

"Tsch, Whatever." Asuka said "I'm not going to listen to this."

"You're the one who brought it up." Mabel said, and Asuka ignored her.

"Hey, Shinji." Kaji said

"Mr. Kaji?" Shinji said

"Whatever you're doing... Keep it up." Kaji said.

"I don't understand." Shinji said

"Neither do I." Kaji replied, Leaving an already confused Shinji to be even more confused.

Meanwhile...

Dipper had been busy trying to fix the portal, but it was to no avail. He pulled onto the lever one more time and there was a small surge of electricity, but nothing to follow it.

"What am I doing wrong?" He wondered

"Mabel's been gone for a while now?" Pacifica said, as she was also running through some of Fords notes. "You think she's okay?"

"Mabel...Mabel." Dipper said, "Oh man, I totally forgot... I hope she's alright."

"I think we should stop and go look for her." Pacifica said.

"No but we're so close." Dipper said, "It's just...one piece of the puzzle."

"What 'piece of the puzzle', we've tried everything." Pacifica said.

"I don't know." Dipper replied, "Great uncle Ford used Bill to help him complete this, but I'm can't bring that nightmare of demon back...maybe that girl is also like Bill, a dream demon? but that wouldn't explain her influence on the physical plain. What the hell is that Rei girl anyway."

"You're drifting off into other ideas again." Pacifica said.

"Sorry, sorry." He said, gathering his thoughts. "Mabel. You're right. We should probably go look for her."

"Thank you." Pacifica said, tired of all the reading.

Dipper took awhile to look around at the place, which had been buried deep in notes and mechanical parts.

"Oh, man." Dipper said, suddenly aware of the mess.

"What's wrong?" Pacifica said.

"How long have I kept you here?" He asked her. And Pacifica shrugged.

"I stopped counting, like, a while ago." she answered.

"I'm real sorry for this." He said, "I mean it really. I shouldn't have kept you here for this long."

"You can apologise properly later." She said, "for now, let's go get Mabel and the others...our visitors included."

"I feel like I let them down, though." Dipper said, "That's even if we can get to them...or find them."

"We should be able to right?" she asked

"I hope." He answered, "There's gotta be something in the journal that helps with tracking."

"Good, then let's get out of here." Pacifica said, just about to head up the stairs "I never liked this whole portal business to begin with."

"Yeah, yeah I know." Dipper said, following her. But just then, the portal began to surge again, generating power. Dipper looked back and saw-

"It's activating." He said.

The earth began to quake and the portal kept generating more power.

"You have to shut it down." Pacifica said, worried.

And Dipper ran up to the lever, but the portal began to pull him in.

"Pacifica get to the lever." He said, levitating into the open pocket.

And she ran as fast she could, taking hold of the lever, but it wouldn't budge.

"Pacifica!" Dipper said, as the rest of the objects in lab began to levitate.

"I'm trying." She said, still trying her best.

The energy spiralled and spiralled, swirling until the opening in the portal formed a clear image. All the while quaking Gravity Falls and along with the mystery shack.

The sudden draw from the other side almost pulled Dipper into another world, one which he had never seen before. It looked to be an obscure area, covered in grey intangible matter. The only thing he could make out clearly was a strange 3-dimensional crucifix like object in floating around the space, and before he was fully taken in, the portal closed, and he fell flat, face first unto the floor. Pacifica had finally managed to pull the lever.

"Are you alright?" She said, panting for breath.

"Yeup, I'm fine." Dipper said with a painful groan, slowly rising up. "What was that?"

"What was what?" Pacifica asked, "I couldn't see anything cause I was too busy trying to save your life."

"Thanks for that." Dipper said, "But it looked...odd, like..out of place."

"What did you see exactly?" Pacifica asked.

"The Gogatha object." Rei-lillith said, who now stood before a startled and surprised Dipper and Pacifica.

"What you saw...was the Gogatha object."

Elsewhere...

Shinji and Asuka had found themselves awakening in yet again, another strange forest. but this time they stood before a peculiar statue.

"What do you think it could be?" Shinji asked, starring at intently.

"How am I suppose to know?" Asuka said, "Don't be stupid, let's just find our way out of here."

"We've been walking in circles for hours." Shinji said, "Maybe it's like a puzzle, if I take its hand..."

"Then what? we magically get whisked away?" Asuka retorted.

"Well we magically woke up here...again." Shinji countered.

"Still, I don't think you should grab that things hand." Asuka said, "There's something strange about it."

Shinji though, still looked to the triangular figure intently, trying to figure it out.

"I understand." He said, "but if we circle around one more time, I'm taking its hand."

"You touch it and I'll break your hand." Asuka said, taking Shinji aback.

"What?" She said, "What's with the look?"

"Nothing...let's just go." He said, walking past her.

"Geez, toughen up a little will ya." She said walking behind him...
