(With Arthur)
It was finally time. He had just dropped Ginny off and now it was time to get Molly to a healer. It was going to be hard and he didn't want to trick her. He sighed and realized it would be the only way. He quickly made his way over to her and began praying to Merlin that it worked and that there was a reason Molly was acting that way.
"Molly?" He called out.
"In the bedroom!" She yelled back.
"I'll be right up." He said.
"Okay!"
He made his way upstairs. He took a deep breath before going into the bedroom. Molly was folding their clothes. She smiled at him and he forced one back.
"What is it dear?" She asked him.
"I saved up some money to take you out on a date." He told her.
"You did?" She sounded pleased.
"I did."
"Oh honey, that's wonderful." She smiled.
"It is." He smiled.
"When?" She asked.
"I was thinking now since there are no kids." He said.
"Good idea." She smiled. "Let's get ready."
"Alright." Feeling guilty for this.
As Arthur changed into fancier clothing he sent a message off to an old friend for help. He knew he had to do it since Molly wouldn't get checked out and would be offended. He just hoped something was wrong with her. He didn't want to believe his wife would willingly act like that.
A message was soon sent back. To his relief his friend agreed to help. He then waited for Molly to leave the bathroom. His breath hitched when he saw her. She wore a nice light blue dress with a medium blue robe. Silver etchings accented the robes. Her hair was curled and in a ponytail. He smiled at her.
"You look beautiful darling." He complimented her.
"Thank you." She said.
"Ready to go?" He asked, noticing that she never complimented him back.
"I am."
"Wonderful. Let's go." He said.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"It's a surprise." He told her.
"You know I don't like surprises." She said.
"You will like this one." He said. "I listen to you after all."
"Huh?" She gave him a confused look.
"I picked the place because I listened to you." He said.
"Wait, you don't mean?" She looked excited.
"Possibly." He shrugged.
"Oh Arthur." She kissed his cheek.
"I just want you to be happy." He said.
"Good." She said.
'Wow. How come I never saw her act like this before?' He wondered.
"Let's go!" She smiled.
"Alright. Hold on." He said.
"Okay." She grabbed his arm.
They soon appeared in front of Enchanting Rose Restaurant, the most popular restaurant in wizarding Britain. Molly had been wanting to go for ages but they didn't have enough money. Arthur knew the owner and refused to eat there for free. They entered the restaurant and a woman greeted them.
"Welcome to the Enchanting Rose. Do you have reservations?" She asked.
"Yes, it is under Weasley." He said.
"Very funny." She sneered.
"I made a reservation." Arthur said.
"Uh-huh." She looked at the book and gasped. "Oh you did and it's a private room."
"Is there a problem?" The owner, Cooper Fantain, asked.
"N-no sir." She said.
"She didn't believe we had a reservation due to us being Weasleys." Arthur said.
"Angela we have been over this. Get them to their table and then meet me in the office." He ordered.
"Yes sir. Follow me." She said, looking very upset.
She took them to their private room and gave them their menus. She then left. She gave their owner the heads up. He complimented her on her acting. It meant that Molly didn't suspect a thing. Meanwhile the two looked at the menu.
"Arthur I must say I am shocked." She said.
"Why?" He asked.
"You usually never stand up like that." She said.
"I know. I just can't stand it anymore." He said.
"I liked it." She smiled.
"I noticed." He smiled back. 'I wish I wasn't tricking her at the moment.'
"Are you two ready to order any drinks?" A waiter asked.
"Pick anything you want Molly." He said to her.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"I am. I told you I saved up for this." He lied.
"Wonderful. Then I would like a glass of the pink crystal champagne." It was the wizarding world's third most expensive alcoholic beverage and the most expensive champagne.
"Excellent choice. You sir?"
"I would just like a glass of red wine please."
"Of course. I shall be back with your drinks." He said.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." He left.
"Oh I'm feeling truly spoiled." She said.
"Good. You deserve it." He told her.
"Yes, yes I do." She said.
That made him frown. Luckily Molly didn't notice. She was looking through the menu. He was glad it was free since he had a feeling she was going to order some expensive dish. It did make him wonder when she changed and why he was only just seeing it.
"So what do you think you are going to get?" He asked her.
"I'm thinking of the blue lobster or the soft shell purple crab." She answered.
"Those sound good." He was right since both those dishes were the most expensive on the menu.
"What about you?" She asked.
"I'm leaning towards the spaghetti dish." He answered.
"That is a good choice." She said, not really listening.
"Thank you." His frown deepened.
"Yeah." She said.
"Here you both are." The waiter said, placing down their drinks. "Are you ready to order?"
"I am." Molly said.
"So am I. You first dear."
"Thank you. I would like the blue lobster." She said.
"That will go well with the champagne." He said. "And you sir?"
"I would like the spaghetti dish." He answered.
"Wonderful. I shall go give these orders to the chef." He said.
"Thank you."
"You are most welcome." He left.
"What a polite young man." Arthur commented.
"Certainly better than the hostess." Molly said.
"True." He knew the girl was in on the plan and felt guilty for badmouthing her.
"Oh I wish we could dine like this more often." She said.
"So do I."
The rest of the time was silent and soon the food arrived. The two ate in silence until the owner entered the room. He looked at them with a serious look.
"I apologize for the interruption but I must ask if either of you has had the blue lobster?"
"I did. Why?" Molly asked.
"My supplier gave me a bad batch. It was filled with parasites and those parasites are resistant to heat. You will need to go to a healer. I apologize severely for this and I will pay for everything." He said.
"Parasites?" She looked sick.
"Let's go dear." Arthur said.
He felt bad as he had to force her up and out of the restaurant. He took them to the hospital. The healer knew the truth but played along. She went over to them.
"What is the problem?" She asked.
"My wife may have eaten a parasite infested lobster." He said.
"Let's get her checked out." She said, "Follow me."
"Okay."
It didn't take them long to get to a room. The healer grabbed a potion and poured it into a bowl. She then took a few drops of Molly's blood and placed it in the bowl. The potion turned blood red and soon the potion absorbed into the scroll that was inside the bowl. The healer grabbed it and looked at it.
"Oh my." She gasped.
"Oh no." Molly gagged, thinking she had parasites.
"No, no. You are parasite free." She said.
"Then what is wrong?" Arthur asked.
"Mrs. Weasley it seems you are under some spells and potions." The healer revealed.
"What?"
"The potions in your system include a personality switching potion, compulsion potion, and a loyalty potion. The loyalty potion is keyed to a Muriel Prewitt. The spells are a compulsion spell and a loyalty spell. The caster is Muriel Prewitt." She revealed.
"M-muriel?" Molly looked very pale.
"Sir, with your permission I would like to test you." She said.
"Yes, of course."
"Great."
She was quick to grab a new bowl and fill it with the potion. She then took some blood and put it into the potion. It turned blood red and absorbed into the scroll that was at the bottom of the bowl. The healer grabbed it and read the contents.
"You also have some spells and potions on you." She revealed.
"What ones?" He asked.
"Compulsion potion, loyalty potion, and submission potion. Those are also the spells that are on you. Loyalty potion is keyed to both Muriel and Molly. The caster of the spells was Muriel Prewitt as well." She answered.
"Could you remove them?" He asked.
"I can." She assured him.
"I want the aurors called." Molly finally spoke up.
"Of course." She said.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." She left the room for a second but soon returned. "Now let's get those potions out of your system and those spells removed." She said.
"Okay." The two said.
(With Bill Weasley)
Bill was very confused and very concerned. He had received a letter from his parents. They were having a family meeting and they wanted him to grab his younger siblings from school. He informed his boss and took a portkey back home. He then went to Hogwarts. His siblings were waiting for him by the gate. All four of them were confused and concerned.
"Do you know what is going on Bill?" Percy asked.
"I do not." He answered.
"Oh." That was disappointing.
"Let's go and we can see what is going on."
"Okay." The four agreed.
"How are you Ron?" Bill quickly asked.
"Better. I can tell you more about it later." He said.
"Sounds good." He smiled.
(With Charlie Weasley)
Charlie was concerned. His dad just sent him a message that they were having a family meeting and that he needed Charlie to pick Ginny up. It was odd since his sister was playing at the Lovegood house, which was the next house down from them.
'Please let everything be okay.' He thought as he went to his boss.
"Charlie? Is everything okay?" She asked.
"I just received a message from my dad. He said that there is a family meeting and asked me to pick my sister up. She is playing down the road." He explained.
"That sounds important. I'll give you leave immediately." She said.
"Thank you, Carol."
"You're welcome. Do you have the proper port-key?" She asked.
"I do."
"Good. I'll shall see you when you get back." Carol said.
"Alright. Bye Carol."
"Bye Charlie."
He went to the port-key station before using his port-key. He answered all the questions before leaving. He quickly grabbed his sister. She was just as confused as him. He then went to the house. They were the first ones there.
(With Arthur and Molly)
The aurors had just left and they signed the discharge papers now that they were spell and potion free. Both were still in a state of shock. They had called a family meeting and their children were probably waiting in the house.
"Are you ready dear?" Arthur asked his wife.
"Not really but we should go." She answered quietly.
"Alright." The two apparated back home.
"Mum! Dad!" Ginny and Ron yelled.
"Please don't shout. Your father and I both have migraines." She said.
"Do you want me to get you a pain potion?" Bill asked.
"No." She said.
"Are you both okay?" Fred asked, worried despite being angry with his mum.
"No we aren't." She answered.
"So your mum and I have been under the influence of both potions and spells." Arthur revealed.
"What?" That was a shock.
"With how your mother was acting I wanted to get her checked and I knew she wasn't going to be happy with it so I tricked her." He explained.
"You tricked mum?" Bill asked in shock.
"I did. I told her I saved up money to take her on a date and asked an old friend for help." He said.
"I was so excited that I went along with it. It's a good thing I was under the influence. My behavior was unacceptable. Spending that much money on a date when we have things we need to pay off and buy is disgusting." She said.
"Luckily everything was free. My friend owns the Enchanting Rose Restaurant and has offered me a free meal for ages but I felt uncomfortable with that since I know how expensive the ingredients were. I put that aside since I needed Molly to get checked over and willingly." Arthur said. "He and his staff helped to make it seem we were really paying and then came in and said Molly's food may contain parasites. I was then able to take her to the hospital."
"Wow." The kids were shocked.
"My friend even had a healer waiting who was in on the plan. She did the spell and that was when we learned Molly was given potions and was placed under spells. The person was a shock so I also was checked and I was under the influence of spells and potions as well." He said.
"The potions in my system were a personality switching potion, compulsion potion, and a loyalty potion. The spells are a compulsion spell and a loyalty spell." Their mum said.
"Someone gave me a Compulsion potion, a loyalty potion, and a submission potion. Those are also the spells they placed on me." Their dad said.
"Do you know by who?" Charlie asked.
"Yes." He answered.
"It was done by Muriel Prewitt." Molly said, still heartbroken by that.
"What?" She was the last person they would have ever expected.
"I know. We felt the same." She said, "The aurors are on it and the potions have been flushed from our system and the spells were removed. I do want to apologize for my behavior and how I treated you all."
"It's alright mum. It wasn't you." George said, hugging her.
"This is on Muriel, not you." Fred said, also hugging her."
"Thank you." She teared up and hugged them back.
"Do you know how long?" Charlie asked.
"Yes. A week after the twin's third birthday." Arthur answered.
"Why?" Ron asked.
"We don't know yet." Molly said, "What I do know is that we want you all to get checked."
"Of course." They agreed.
"Great." Their parents gave them a sad smile.
