Hey Guys, this one does get a bit deep, just warning you. There is mention of s*cid@l thoughts.
It's been weeks since anyone but Will has seen Jay. Erin has started working at Intelligence again and everyone is so happy she's back except Jay. He won't answer calls texts, open his apartment door when people turn up to see him. Not even Will can get through to him.
Will has just finished a 48 hour shift and is arriving home. "I don't know Nat, it's different this time, he's not talking to anyone even me, and when he does it's two words max. I just don't know what to do with him. There was only one person who could get through to him like this but they aren't here." He says through his phone.
"Who is it? Your Mom or Mouse?" She replies.
"Neither. Erin."
They both sit in silence. "I'm pulling up I'll call you later and tell you how I go. I love you."
"Take care. I love you too." Nat hangs up.
Will makes his way up to the apartment, when he steps inside he sees that all lights are off and the curtains are shut, no light except the T.V.
"Jesus, Jay, what are you a vampire or something? Let some light in." Will says as he goes to the windows and opens up the curtains.
"Jay, I think it's time, I think you need to see someone to get extra help. Because man I'm trying but you are so god damn stubborn that you won't listen."
Jay turns his head to look at Will. "Like I told you the other million times, I'm fine I don't need a f*king shrink." He says as he storms out the door.
Will let's him go as this it the first time he has the left the apartment in ages, it'll be good for him.
Jay gets in his car and drives to the lake. He sits there for hours and listens to music drowning out his sorrows in the noise.
"Will, hey, you'll never guess who I just saw at the grocery store. Erin!" Nat says through the phone
"I know she's back and she has a kid, that part of the reason Jay is like this." Will responds
"Then why haven't you called her?"
"I don't know what to say, I mean she hurt him pretty bad."
"I know, but surely she can do something."
"Mmm, maybe. I'll try to call her in the morning it's too late now."
They chats for hours as Will waits for Jay to come home, but he never does.
Everyone is working away at the desk filling in paperwork while waiting for a case. Adam and Kevin are fighting over last nights hockey game, Kim is talking to Mouse about his days in the Army, and Antonio and Erin are talking about there adventures while away from the unit. Hank is in his office smiling at the fact that he's team is all together and joking like usual just missing one person. His desk sits there clean and tidy while collecting dust.
Erin gets a phone cal and when she sees who it is from she excuses herself from Antonio, and walks into the tea room and shuts the door.
"Hey Will."
"Erin Hey, are you free I need to talk to you about something."
"Yeah of course anything whats up?"
"I think it would be better if we did this in person, is there a place I could meet you?"
"Is everything ok?"
"Not really."
"Oh ok um... I'm at work but we haven't got a case at the moment so you could come here and we can chat in the break room. Is that ok?"
"Yep sounds good, now?"
"Yep whenever"
"Ok see you soon"
"Will do bye will"
"Bye"
She hangs up slightly concerned at what could be going on, she's 90% sure it has something with Jay. She walks back to her desk and sits down and works not talking to anyone, thoughts running through her head.
Will walks up to the bullpen spotting Erin straight away. She stands up and signals him to follow her. Everyone greets him cautiously not knowing why their colleague's brother is here. He doesn't say anything about Jay and follows Erin. Hank walks out of his office stopping at his door. "Erin?"
"It's ok, he just wants to talk."
Erin shuts the door and the blinds knowing everyone is now watching them.
"Long time no see" Will says first.
"Yeah, how are you?" She responds
"Good, I mean I've been better but I'm good."
"Yeah I get that. So what did you want to talk about?"
"Jay."
"Will I —"
"I know, you guys aren't really talking at the moment. But I need your help."
"Can't someone else help you like Adam or Nat?"
"Not for this, you are the only one that can do this"
"What are you asking if me exactly?"
"Jay as you probably know has hit this depressive episode again, but its worst then last time. He won't talk to anyone even me, and he never leaves the apartment he drinks all day and barely eats. Erin you are the only one that could get him out last time. Please help me fix him."
"Will, I know he's bad again, but I think you are forgetting one key thing, he wants absolutely nothing to do with me. How am I supposed to help?"
"Please. I'm begging you. Last night I told him he should see someone about how he is feeling and he stormed out, and I haven't seen or heard from him since. I'm starting to get worried what if he's hit rock bottom and he's going to ..." Will stutters at his words as he thinks of the worst.
"Will you can't think like that. Did he say where he was going? Maybe I can track his phone."
"Nah he just got in his car drive off, if you would please find him I'm begging you, I'm really worried this time."
"Ok, well I'll track his phone and go find him. You go back to work and I'll call you if I find him."
"He'll most likely be drunk so I can come pick him up."
"It's fine I drop him off to you."
"Ok, Thankyou."
Will walks out of the unit without saying a word to anyone. Erin walks out grabs her jacket and head down stairs to the rollout shed.
"Erin? Where are you going?" Hank says
"Personal outing. I'll be fine. I'll cal you later." She responds walking away. Hank let's her go trusting her.
Erin has tracked his phone and now is driving to his location.
When she gets there she sees his car sitting there empty. She gets out of her car and starts calling out "Jay? Jay! Jay where are you!"
With no response she starts looking around, when she sees him. Leaning on the edge of a bridge railing, crying. She runs over to him worried something might happen if she isn't there soon.
He hears someone running and starts crying more after seeing who it is. He can't do this anymore.
"Jay! Jay look at me! Wth are you doing?!" Erin's calls out running up to him. Grabbing his arm.
Sorry is this was a bit dark, I promise it isn't like this anymore.
